Not only did I lose a few items because of the bags ripping but somebody who I did not ask to help me bag took over bagging, kind of rudely, and one of my items is completely missing. It's an knee brace that cost almost 20 bucks so I had to get stuff for the holiday even though I could not afford it so that my family has a good holiday for our gatherings. Now I can't replace the 60 $70 worth of merchandise of the bags that nobody warned me were malfunctioning when I called in they said oh yeah, we noticed with a shipment they're really bad and then basically shrugged it off and said oh sorry well that doesn't give me my stuff or my money back and I have to go back in there drag my kids out again and get the new knee brace if I don't wanna be in pain for the holiday but doesn't matter anyway cause I have to serve my guest because I can't replace what your bags screwed up. I'm out like 100 bucks. Thanks a lot merry Christmas.

They should be wearing masks!Big sale/ low price sign on store brand ice cream. The low price of $8.50 for a gallon is not a low price. It's never been over $7.99 till it gets the " low price" sign. When I do math, it doesn't seam low. 2 years ago it never went over $5.99. Supply chains are back and hyvee will never lower the price.It's mostly children (under 18, a lot at 15) working. That way they don't have to pay benefits to part time workers.It's definitely not the "friendly smile in every isle" it once was. Stay away.

The security guy stared at us and came out to see if we're ok and was going to leave. Lost keys in store and they wouldn't give them to us as when found them dropped them in safe, asked them not to tow and they honored that.

HyVee is always so overpriced, but we all shop there. It is the more palatable choice at times. An employee heavily smelled of cigarette smoke. The feel of hyvee is not what it used to be.

I work at a hyvee, I work at the one across town at Oakland road. The stuff I see in this hyvee I would get fired for at mine. The lack of respect from the managers and staff is incomprehensible, when I ask if they have a product in back they just say “no” or say “I don’t know” and walk away.

Hyvee always does a great job of keeping their store in order and the shelves stocked. I used to do most of my shopping here, but lately, it's only for odds and ends. They enjoy advertising Fareway prices as comparisons. If they used Aldi or Walmart, they would just look bad.

Quality produce and meat department. You can get all your grocery shopping needs completed and can buy food that is ready to eat. Decent liquor selection. Basic life necessities as well.

As expected once the minimum wage was effectively doubled the price of everything began jumping up in price. Commonly referred to as inflation except in the case of Hy-Vee. When they jack up the price they use a ladder . The chain can boast about how clean and shiny everything is (they've set the bar for that. Hands down, no competition) the place is clean and brightly lit. The employees are professional and happy to help. They remodeled the store on 1st. It's amazing! Once you are in the store on your immediate right is a bistro - like setting that's very inviting. The food is hot and fresh and very delicious. But the prices are criminal.~ Nadine Annadana 9/23

Loved it it was super clean and organized, the Starbucks coffee was very good also, floors clean and meat department was filled with fresh meat. Everything was well stocked and also management was great , I put an application in, looks like a great team to work with

I thought I would try to go back to Johnson Ave Hy-Vee to get my groceries!I will say, I'm very sorry I did!!!I went down every aisle but the meat Dept. and not 1 of the Hy-Vee employees said "Hi" or even acknowledged me!!Needless to say, I'm not happy with their customer service!!!!!!I talked to 2 managers, Paydon & Jimmy, and they were very nice. I told them that older gentleman at the front door was absolutely awesome and the young man, Mike, whom bagged my groceries!!! They were the only two that treated me like I mattered!! Even the young man Garrit(?) that was my cashier didn't look like he even wanted to be there!I used to be a HyVee employee at that store and at 6th St Drug!! I always smiled and greeted everyone!!!!!!!I always thought that was the motto," Where there's a helpful SMILE in EVERY AISLE", I think they flunked that class!! =(I'm sorry to say but I won't be going back to Johnson Ave HyVee!!!

I bought package of 6 small cucumber slices with dill spread on mini rye bread. I bit into one and there was a piece of hard plastic with sharp edges between the cucumber and bread. I wish there was a way I could upload a picture. Very scary.

The meat department is very courteous and will willingly help with your requests.However, this review has changed due to the high prices of groceries compared to Fareway, Aldi, and Walmart.The pharmacy is very good at what they do and very helpful and friendly. Prices for prescription drugs are reasonable compared with other chains.

Not fabulous. The market grill was cold, the whole store was cold. My steak coming allegedly directly from the kitchen was cold. My the server didn't ask about options for my baked potato. The Hamburger chowder my companion had she said tasted like gravy

It was Halloween and you could go to each department of the store and your kids could trick or treat. My daughter in law, my granddaughters and i had fun.

Had just a few things to pick up and get the latest COVID-19 booster for seniors. It all went smooth.
