I love frontier! They have very competitive prices and they always have a different selection of plants and feed. Their greenhouse is pretty small compared to others in town, but the owner has been around for decades and can answer any question you have. The people keep me coming back and the healthy plants help!

Came here to get a small flowering shrub. They had a variety of healthy shrubs to choose from. Ended up getting azalea evergreen pink! Employees are always friendly and helpful. Absolutely love Frontier Garden Center!

Expensive. 3" potted jades were $15. End of season at the end of August and only 20% off perennials. 🤔They do have some unique plants but pathos for $40 seems steep to me.

I've been here twice now. They have a great selection of interesting and affordable houseplants, including cheap 2 inch pots of succulents and tropicals. They had great prices on vegetables and herbs also. I think this is the cheapest and best place to satisfy my plant obsession!

I stopped in today to check out the house plants. Wow was I in heaven. The best looking plants for my in-house collection. I am definitely stopping in again with in the week. I am in love with Hoyas and succulents and they have both. The plants are huge, a beautiful green and priced pretty good. They had one of my favorite Hoyas and a cactus life saver. What more can I ask for 😀 I purchased a huge Hoya Aust Lisa and the life saver cactus. Coming for more in a couple days….. see ya then and thank you !!

Coming here is always a wonderful experience! The owner is super nice and always has great tips for plant care. In winter the green house is a magical place to be. The plants are super reasonably priced and don't mysteriously die after getting home as some plants from bigger garden centers have done to me.

The herb and flower selection are great! Not only did they have the herbs we were looking for but also variations of them. We were seeking basil and they also had Thai basil, another favorite of ours. The two associates working were helpful, knowledgeable, and kind.

I have bought stuff from this place for most of my life (almost 40 years), and they have been around forever. I agree they have cheapest prices on quality dog food, as well as bird seed and supplies. Use to buy all of my fish tank supplies from here when they use to carry it back in the late 80's and early 90's. In the spring and summer they get the best quality flowers (perennials) in that seem to survive the longest in our Iowa weather. True locally owned/family owned gem.

Frontier appears to be locally owned and had that great family owned business feel. It had a large variety of gardem seeds at very reasonable prices. They also have a large selection of bird feeding supplies. We were very impressed and will return.

This is the best Garden Center in town. Probably all of Iowa. I don't work there or have friends there, by the way. They have the best prices on Pet food. Example -- the treats I buy for my dog there are $2.99. Same treat at Pet Smart is $6.99. We also buy most of our garden plants and flowers there because the price is right and the service outstanding.

My favorite, have it all for my gardening. They have some of the most rare, fresh and new seeds all the time, for sure they will grow if you plant them right away. The owner helped me to economize my garden by making a combination using peat moss, Topsoil and Perlite, you mix this three with his recommended ratio of each one and you will have the BEST soil for your seedlings and plants. Also it makes much more soil that you imagine and you can use your peat moss and perlite for later years as you can store them. These ingredients are cheap by the way, ask the owner to grab a bag of each one for your next gardening project.

Frontier garden is fairly small but they have a magnificent selection of house plants, succulents, and cacti for very reasonable prices. They have food for birds and other small animals.
