We cannot say enough great things about our experience with the Affordable plumbing team. We had to redo/remodel our kids’ bathroom shower due to a leak from the original builder (not Affordable) leading to drywall/trim/flooring damage and mold. After discussing the project with Heidi, we knew they were the ones for the job! She helped me to design the shower our boys wanted, with the colors/tile I wanted. We were able to fix the issues (yes, we had to tear it all out), and create a bathroom we all love! From Heidi, to her team, the team with House of Carpets, to Allied Glass- everyone was amazing to work with! Great communication, and going the extra mile to make sure we were happy. We will definitely be using them again for future plumbing/remodeling projects!

We have had a slow annoying sink leak for months. A few weeks have passed since this fix by Affordable Plumbing was done. There are no signs of this lingering problem. John did an excellent job. Answered our questions, was very thorough and advised us well. We'd have him back anytime.

John Szysizka was absolutely incredible. Five stars without a doubt. Unfortunately I had a burst pipe from my furnace stopping during below zero temps and had water leaking from my 2nd level bathroom down through my dining room ceiling. John was put through the ringer to locate the pipe and then switch it out by cutting out a section of my ceiling. He never complained with how difficult my old house was, dealt with being covered in plaster falling on him, and didn't hesitate to answer any of my questions. He was on time and friendly. He made sure to check his work before leaving. I was nervous picking a plumbing company because of how severe my situation was but I would absolutely call Affordable Plumbing again because of John!

Remodeled my bathroom but didn't want to do the plumbing. We called Affordable Plumbing and Remodeling to remove the old toilet and faucet and replace them when I finished the flooring. They were very easy to schedule with, and called on the dates they were coming to let us know they were on their way. John, who did the work, was very courteous and helpful to let me know what I would need to finish the project. This helped it go smoothly since I provided the toilet and faucet. Both times that he was here, he arrived when scheduled and was very efficient. Overall it was a great experience, and I was glad we chose them.Thanks

I've had Affordable do all my plumbing work since moving back to Cedar Rapids and purchasing an older historical home. On a recent service call, they discovered the old bath liner had been leaking, which we suspected. We worked with their team to choose a new bath/shower combo and their crew did a great job of installing it. They were very quality focused and conscientious about their work every step of the way. They also carefully observed all safety protocols due to the pandemic. I highly recommend these guys if you want the job done right.

It was easy and convenient to schedule a quote, and then schedule the work to be completed thereafter. Their pricing was reasonable, and the quoted invoice was itemized to show everything we would be paying for. Rick was the contractor who worked on our home, and he was pleasant, professional, and explained the process in a way that was easy to understand. I highly recommend this company to others whenever they have a need, and intend to do business with them in the future.

They saved us a great deal versus their competition on a replacement water heater and the workmanship was top notch. More recently they took care of a nasty drain problem we were having. This business was a pleasure to work with. Great communication via email and they were able to setup an appointment right away to have my sink replaced and a new one installed. They helped me out with my plumbing. the drain back up and flooded everything in the basement and very knowledgeable and Reasonable pricing gave me step by step and informed me if there was unforseen problems and how they were going to approach it. Unfortunately, I can't rate it -100! This company improperly installed a unit in the attic. Then they came out and lied to me- said it was fixed. Twice! I had to have a real plumber come out to fix their mistakes!! Then after the problem caused MASSIVE DAMAGE to my house (it willcost at least $30,000 plus tons of inconvenience by the time it's done) - these incompetent people have the nerve to bill me for their mistakes!!! Their inability to do their jobs makes them very expensive- Not Affordable! NEVER TRUST THEM!

Installed a new power vent hot water heater to replace an atmospheric vent hot water heater which wasn't venting properly.I'm impressed with the quality of the water heater installed. Installation was quick and convenient, and appears to be very well installed. The original cost and time estimate provided was accurate.Will definitely use Affordable Plumbing for any future plumbing needs!

I am giving 2 stars because I feel a little taken advantage of. I do like the fact that when I called I was given an appointment the same day. Which is why I gave the 2 stars. I was charged a $100.00 an hour and the plumber was there for 1.05 min. (recorded) and charged for an 1.5 hours. That small thing does add up. I also feel like I was way overcharged for a sink trap 25.00 and all the PVC piping is marked up a crazy amount. For an hour and five min. to put a sink drain and disposal drain I was charged. 218.00. I will not recommend or being doing business with "Affordable"...Funny name for what they charge.

I am happy with the service received from Affordable Plumbing. I needed a Drain Valve replaced. Called at 8:00am to schedule the appointment, service person called at 9:40am on his way, service complete by 10:40am. The area was also cleaned up before leaving. At the end, I was informed of a few recommendations on future services, but felt no pressure.

Heidi knows kids! After a flooded bathroom and 3 growing children, we needed something they could grow-up with! She designed me in-wall storage, a thee way mirror for each child's storage, an easy to clean all-in-one vanity and sink, with a single handled faucet! I especially thank her for her ideas with the dark wood and putting the vanity on legs for easy cleaning! I CANNOT wait to see the finished product! I went to 3 other remodelers and not one designer understood what we needed! Thank you so much!!!!

It's been a year since i had a sink put in but it is still fine with no problems. Was charged the normal going rate. Service was prompt and courteous. would highly recommend Affordable Plumbing.

Will not use again. They came out to fix my toilet that was draining slow and leaking into my basement. Things worked fine for a week. Now I have to call another plumber and spend more money.
