This is a terrible company to work for. I worked here in 2019 and I am still traumatized. Especially by the hardware department. They will write you up the minute you forget to do something. But when the manager forgot to change a price tag, I was asked why I didn’t save the proof of it. They are very eager to take mistakes and throw them against you. There is no redemption with this company. There is clear favoritism from general management. They will take their favorite department managers out to lunch, forgetting the ones they don’t like even exist. Let’s not forget that when I had to leave for life saving surgery, they wrote me up the day I came back for what I didn’t finish. Worst store ever. Absolutely terrible that they have left Menards with this reputation.

Bought tub and a door been waiting around an hour tub was broken have to refund now still waiting for a door. That's only I think no competition seems like they even don't care.

Cedar Falls Menards is one of the worst weekend managed stores I have ever been in. I ask for help several times. One employee came though the lumber building but said he was too busy. After waiting 20 minutes or more we got pissed and left without our order. The worker that said he was too busy was sitting out on a lumber pile on his phone. Gabe the weekend manager should be a toilet scrubber, not sure he would qualify for that either.

I shop alot at menards I like almost everything about this store. But the last few times I have had to pickup products in the back lot I have found your gate attendant needed a wake up call on what customer service means. I almost felt like I was interrupting there phone time or bothering them in some way. No communication just scan my paperwork and open the gate. The last person to have interaction with the customer leaves the biggest impact. Step it up guys.

Never been to a business that accused me of stealing products because I took it from the stocked shelves and placed them into my cart before which is how just about all business function which is why carts are available at entrances. I feel the staff here would benefit from a proper education on how selling products in store to customers work. I will not ever try to do business with this company again, and neither will my associates congrats on achieving your bizarre goal.

Not a bad place to go for Home improvement items. A bit more difficult to navigate and find what you need then the other big box home improvement stores but it's close enough that I'm there often enough that I have learned where most items are over time. Tends to be a bit more value conscious items than the other big box home improvement stores as well, meaning lower cost but less name brands of appliances, tools, etc. Overall a great option and variety compared to the other offerings almost like a symbiotic relationship.

Its always a pleasure shopping at menards. Your actually asked if you need help multiple times. Its a very big store. The prices go unmatched. There is definitely something there for everyone. Always a satisfied customer!

Absolutely terrible management. 2 lanes open with 8 people in both lines. Took 5 minutes to open more and found more delays. Both us and other customers had items that ring up incorrectly - items that had the wrong UPC code stickers attached to them.

inexperienced stockers ..he had no idea where the grass seed was located. When I worked retail I had to know where everything was located .More training must be needed and to FIND ANY ASSOCIATE ..have fun with that!!This store needs to have an employee meeting and ask themselves do I want to work here .do I need this job and do better

Very friendly staff and helpful too. This store and the ones in Ames and Grimes are three of the best Menards stores I have been in. Unlike other stores, it seemed like they were actually working and assisting customers instead of trying to hide and have group gab sessions.

Awesome team! Easy to navigate aisles. Great big nice clean carts! Clean restrooms! Great prices! Positive experience with team! Everyone my grandmother and I encountered were extremely helpful. Especially a young man named Ian. Wish we had this store in California where I live .

They have about everything I needed but go to Lowe's three is always someone willing to help at any minute. Been walking around looking for a few parts for a round 45 minutes and not one person has ask if I need help finding anything.how many times can i walk up and down the same aisle walk next to workers and not find help or the items i need. Thanks for all the help. NOT!!!!!!!

I was there today to purchase a few items. One being 5 bags of river rock. I pulled behind to get loaded. There was worker in same aisle on fork lift. BUT, did he get off & help a older woman load 5 bags of river rock which would have taken maybe 5 minutes? NO!!!! That is POOR customer service. Young lady at entrance to back was very nice & polite.

Good box store. Mulch was on sale $2.00 a bag as usual not well marked. Check out is fast. Disappointed they do not enforce the loading area parking time limit. Every time I go a lot of contractors think it is their personal long term parking.

Well stocked home improvement store. Flower and plant selections generally good though cold spring this year has limited blooming plants. Tool selection continues to improve every year and house brands have really improved

Lot of selection, good sales and friendly and helpful staff. It's the closest hardware store to me, so it gets almost all of my business.2 down sides: They don't cut plywood (they will use a chop saw to cut down longer boards if you need), and their rebates are binding contracts as soon as the print out. You better not lose that rebate receipt because they won't refund you the 11% if you need to return something...

My dad who was on Oxygen was followed and harassed by the staff. He cannot wear a mask because he cannot exchange Co2 as well as a normal human. They told him that he couldn't come in the store. Update: He tried to return siding materials that were left over from a project. Since they would not let him in, he had his wife go in for him. They would not initially accept the return from her while he waited in the parking lot. Eventually they accepted the materials, and offered in-store credit for the return, since it was past a certain cut-off date. He cannot use the in-store credit, since he is not allowed in the store. He also cannot use it online for pickup. After a few tries they eventually let him in the store with a face shield.

I had a horrible experience with a front end "manager" today. We were looking for shiplap. There was a sale sign posted right above the item we were looking at. There was also an excessive amount of this item, again under the sale sign. I guess it's my fault that this label was for another product. We load up and go to check out. It rings up the full price and I mention that the price labeled directly above the product was different. Jasmine called a manager over to assist. Jasmine was talking to my wife, so I answered the "manager" stating that the price was incorrect. The "manager" called over for a price check, after an extended period of time, there was no answer. I kindly offered to go and take a picture to show her. She wouldn't even look at, respond, or acknowledge that I made a comment. I have worked in customer service and this is absolutely the opposite of how you treat a customer. Finally, Kent responds with the label is for another product. I say that I will walk back and show you what I saw. Again she didn't acknowledge anything I said. Fantastic. I apparently was wrong for the price. Why would a sale sign be located immediately above another product, sure there were tiny samples above, but the product was an easy 5ft away. The thing is, if Menards wants customers to know the prices, they should probably be more intentional with how they label them. I easily spotted coworkers wandering around and having what looks to be a pretty easy day. Not to mention the fact no one offered to help us or answer questions while shopping. I am sure someone could muster the energy to move them around to make everyone's life easier! My wife asked if the price would be honored since the tag appeared to be in the wrong place without an answer. The "manager" responded with waking away and not saying a word. If Menards would like to SAVE BIG MONEY, I strongly feel they should let the "manager" go. We are very loyal Menard's customers this is sad they couldn't do anything or say I am sorry that this tag was confusing to see and understand. Thank you for your help Jasmine.

Item selection is as good as can be expected due to covid 19. Requiring all customers and employees to wear a mask. One employee always has her mask under her nose and pulls it up when checking out customers. That's worse than no mask! I won't go to her checkout.

Making people wear masks that have a notification on the side of the box that says will not protect against covid does nothing. I will never shop here again and I am okay with that. Your over priced and your customer service is awful. I served 8 years in the Corps and will not be made to wear masks if it does nothing to protect me or others. I commend you for trying to protect the public but you over stepped your authority as a company and for that you lost a good customer. You have the right to mandate whatever you want in your stores but your ignorance of the virus and masks is apparent in your upper management. Now I have to go to Lowes or Home Depot which I hated...
