By far the best place around for steak and chicken. Produce section is priced competitively as well, granted the selection isn't huge. Generally I have no problems finding good produce if they have it.Good deals on deodorant/soap/toiletries/paper goods as well.Frozen section is a little smaller, but deals here are often found. They price product to move, so a lot of times you can try new things at a good discount (Outshine Mango Bars for half the price at Walmart for instance).Customer service is always stellar too, of course. They even take your cart out for you and help load it into your car.

This is my favorite Fareway in the area. The meat department and the guys who work there is amazing. The shelves are always neatly stocked and it’s easy to find the products that I need. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. When I visited your store this evening, the cashier, Kevin, was very friendly, and had superb customer service skills.

Had some super deals today at the Cedar Falls Fareway. Got some nice Porterhouse steaks for $12.99 per pound. Huge Ribeyes for $13.99 per pound. Clean store and freindly staff.

We shop at the store at Thunder Ridge. This is by far the best grocery store in Cedar Falls. Friendly service, well stocked, great meat department, convenient parking and you don't have to walk a mile around the store to find every thing you need. I highly recommend.

Love the Fareway. I visit my daughter and her family in Cedar Falls & whenever I plan my visit, I bring a large cooler & fill it with their wonderful selection of meat. Everyone is so friendly & helpful. And what grocery store today helps you take your packages out your car? Great customer service throughout the store. Then before I leave for home I make a final stop at Hansen's for their great milk, farm fresh huge brown eggs.

Meh. The butcher's is the only section worth visiting. The vegetables selection is underwhelming and everything is wrapped in plastic. Fruits already have their own skins; they don't need to be wrapped in plastic, which is bad for the environment. Employees were rude and unhelpful. Today they told my husband not to bring our own reusable shopping bags without explaining why. If you don't want to touch my bags then just let me know and I'd be happy to bag my own stuff. The delivery of the message is important.Don't think we will be back anymore with all these practices that are bad for the environment.

I love that they match Hy-Vee's advertised sales. They are less expensive to begin with and then you couple that with matching other store's best prices, what's not to like? The guys at the meat counter are always very helpful, friendly and attentive even when the store is very busy. I wish they were open on Sundays but such good service deserves a family day.

Things were great, what's better than the store was a young clerk David if I remember that helped me out with all of my shopping pushing my cart and running down something that I forgot. I'm on crutches and not able to push a cart. His boss needs to give him a good word.

The air quality is much better than before however, most workers just follow you around looking unconsciously, while never once smiling and saying hi or how are you doing. Getting better but definitely needs improvement.

I love this store! Helpful people, great meat counter and low prices. They always add extra cashiers when there are more than two people in line so you never wait more than five minutes when checking out. I really appreciate how they respect customers’ time!

My experience was not positive. Two staff members were unprofessional. When looking at a sales shelf set up as you walk in I stopped to look at items. I realized it was a busy area and held up not a patron but a staff member who stated " Oh my God." and a young school age staff member thought it was funny.This is a first impression and a lasting impression. These two ruined my 1st visit and I will never return to feel this way again.

We love our Fareway! Great produce, reasonably priced, excellent service by the local staff and they take your purchase to your car and load it for you. What's not to like??Closed Sunday. But that's ok. They make up for it on the other 6 days.

I love Fareway, the service you get there is top notch. The meat is best in any town you can go too. If you need finding something you can ask they will help you find it, out if they don't have it they will see if they can get it in the store for you! They aren't able to get exotic meat, but they can and will cut meat to order. The produce is usually week kept as well which is nice.

I love our Fareway on Magnolia St. Small but they carry the basics. Meat department is incredible. If you need help, someone walks you to where you need to be. I like my groceries being carried to the car for me! Always polite and courteous assistance. No bakery, which would be nice.

Everything was neat and clean it was only missing one thing that was a black tea and spice coffee other than the prices at Fareway are not cheap I'm almost 82 years old and I got just a handful of food cost for $68 I know they have to pay their help because everybody got a raise so giving everybody a raising wages is not helping the poor than that very good

I needed assistance while shopping three different times and wow, someone was always right there to help. The store is extremely clean also. I live in Waterloo but I'll make the trip to Cedar Falls Fareway from now on.

Fareway is my grocery store of choice. It is always clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive and Fareway's store brand is pretty good quality. Renovations and self checkout have made store a more present experience.

This is a clean and well managed store. Good instock, well staffed (especially the meat counter) and they stay on top of competitor ads. Between this store and Walmart you can save a ton of money over Hyvee's bamboozling sale schemes....Lmao I paid $50 more for my stuff but wait a tick I got $. 08 off gas! Woohoo! Duh.

I've been a Fareway customer at another location for 40 years and I find the Cedar Falls version to be lacking. More and more often, items I have always been able to purchase are no longer available. It is proximal to my location and I hate the rambling Hyvee store ( a smirk on every clerk and no carryout service) and traffic, so Fareway is still my best option. The fact that I will continue to shop there does not mean I am blind to its shortcomings, however. I may drive to Waverly to see if that one is better.
