I love this veterinary clinic! The staff are all clearly animal lovers, and they treat pets (and the people who love them) with kindness and respect. Beyond the friendly atmosphere, staff are knowledgeable, conscientious, and well-practiced. I trust them with my dogs health, and my dogs trust them, too. We have been using CHPC for a number of years and pets. Dr. Schaul has been very thorough and kind. Pepper loves to go there and gets excited when he sees where we are headed. All of the girls make a fuss over him and he just soaks it up.We had a very troubled and overprotective Shepard that wouldn't let anyone near us. She was completely compliant at Cedar Heights. These folks just inspire confidence and calm in animals.

From surgery to regular checkups and grooming I have had the BEST experience EVERYTIME of being with him and his staff. He literally saved my babies life. Very thankful for them all! They take great care of my dog. You can tell they really care for your pet, and understand the decisions pet owners need to make, especially as pets get older and may need additional care. All procedures my dog has had have been affordable.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff, but they’re expensive compared to my old vet. They also do not tell you when a procedure will incur an extra cost. The first time we brought in our cat they wanted to do a fecal exam to check for parasites, but it wasn’t mentioned prior to the appointment, so I hadn’t brought in a stool sample. The vet insisted that next time I brought our cat in to make sure to bring a sample, which led me to believe the exam was generally included when doing an office visit. The next time we came in I provided a stool sample for our cat and they did the fecal exam, but neglected to tell us that the exam was an additional $50. I love my animals and I would have been happy to pay the cost anyway, especially since we picked up our cat as a stray, but I felt it was incredibly unprofessional that they never bothered to mention not only that the exam was an additional charge, but also failed to even tell us how much it would be until we were paying.We also were considering getting them to spay our cat, but they were being very opaque about the cost of the procedure. We decided to book an appointment anyway, but eventually found out the cost would be nearly $200. Still, we kept the appointment, as we still wanted the cat spayed. However, we ended up having a family emergency the night before the appointment and we’re not going to be able to make it. We called the office in order to leave a voicemail explaining our situation, but were instead met with an extremely rude woman from some kind of call agency, most likely for emergency vet care. I explained our situation and that I wanted to leave a message for the vet, as I wouldn’t have time to call tomorrow before the appointment. The woman very begrudgingly took my message herself and told me that she would pass it along before quickly hanging up. The next day we received a call from the vet asking why we didn’t come to the appointment, meaning the woman did NOT convey our message at all, despite telling us she would.My entire experience with this clinic has been extremely frustrating and I would recommend going elsewhere.

Took my dog there to be groomed, they said she needed the kennel cough vaccine and they would just give it to her the day of the groom. I assumed my little dog would be safe then, but no she indeed contracted kennel cough from this place! My veterinarian told me it takes 7 days for the shot to be effective! I’ve called twice requesting to speak to the office manager(Ann) but she has ignored my calls and not returns then. My heart is breaking listening to this cough coming out of my sweet little girl. I would NEVER recommend anyone to trust this place! As far as the groom it’s fine, but very unprofessional office manager! Please be ware!

I've been going to Cedar Heights Pet Clinic since I was very young.. It started with Dr. Endres. And now with Dr. Shall.. This clinic is top notch.They are professional and compassionate as well. All of the girls in there treat my dogs as if they were their own.. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I started going to Cedar Heights by chance. It was 4 days after I got my 8 week old puppy. She started acting sick and lethargic. At that point, I hadn’t even decided which vet I wanted her to regularly see yet. I was panicking because my normal vet office that I took my cats to was closed (it was a Sunday) and I didn’t want to wait until Monday to take her in. Cedar Heights was the only clinic open that Sunday. My dog saw Dr. Belle and was treated within an hour of calling them. The price was very reasonable considering the emergency visit and my puppy was acting playful again by the end of that night. From that point on (2 years ago) I decided to use Cedar Heights pet clinic, and transferred my cats’ records there from my old vet clinic.Now my dog primarily sees Dr. Schaul at Cedar Heights (I think Dr. Belle mainly works at Brookside, which is affiliated?) Dr. Schaul is so friendly and knowledgeable. He explains everything in simple, easy to understand terms and answers all my questions.Dr. Belle has answered all of my emergency calls since my dog was a puppy — and she’s gotten quite a few from me. She’s patient and understanding of my worries. I never feel like she’s bothered with my concerns.The rest of the staff at Cedar Heights is simply amazing. They greet us with a smile and always make a point to give my dog the attention she craves when new people are around.Overall, I would not go anywhere else. Their prices are reasonable, the staff and doctors are reliable, and everyone is so friendly. Couldn’t ask for more.

Just wanted to say an extra big thank you for the magic you worked on our standard Poodles Pixie and Wilson this week! I hate to write bad reviews on places, but i feel the public needs to be aware of what happened to me so it doesn't happen to others. Friday night, my 7 1/2 week old kitten was barely breathing and almost unresponsive. She started having seizures and I was very concerned. A friend of mine told me to call this clinic because they had heard of their late night emergency services, so I called them. I got an answering service and spoke with a VERY rude young woman. I explained my situation to her and all she said was "name?" After I told her my name, she asked for my phone number and immediately after I gave it to her she said "someone will be calling you" and hung up without giving me a chance to say anything more. 45 minutes later, I never received a phone call and my kitten died. I am not familiar with vets in the area and was frantic at the time because my kitten was struggling and suffering. I'm not sure anything could have been done for her, but it would have at least been nice to hear from them. I will NEVER return to this clinic and find it HIGHLY unprofessional how they handled my call. I fell in love with my kitten like she was my own baby and now I'll never know if she could have been saved. Please, if you care about your furry friends, do not rely on this clinic.

I just moved to Cedar Falls, I am so glad I chose Cedar Heights Pet Clinic. Everyone is so nice, they ran necessary tests and answered all my questions. Helped get my elderly dog back on track and when I had a phone question, the Vet called me back within minutes. Prices are fair and customer service is A++++.

This is by far the best veterinary care we've experienced. By following Dr. Schaul's recommendations regarding diet and excersise she's consistently maintained a healthy weight. As all dog owners know, it's hard to say no when they want a treat, but listen to your vet....he knows what he's talking about.

When my pit I had was old and had cancer who was a year older than me and I grew up with had to be put done the vet who helped smokey for years was at home and he decided to come in to put smokey down himself cause he fell in love with him. This vet has always helped my family with our pets.
