good prices and i always find at least one thing i really really like. their tagging machines hardly work though, 2/4 times i’ve been there something i was super excited about had the tag fall off and i couldn’t even buy it

Only giving 2 stars! Went to Thrift World for the first time ever because my daughter always goes there. Loved the store, very organized, clean and prices seemed really fair. The reason I’m only giving 2 stars is because of the young girl who was working today. I had a purse, wallet, couple shirts picked up and was going to buy them. My elderly Mother needed to use the restroom so I went up and asked her for the key. She acted like it was a big pain in her butt. So when my mom was done I put the stuff back and we left. I’ve worked retail most of my life and you have to have a certain personality to work with the public and she didn’t have it. Won’t be returning!!!

The cashier was not as friendly with me as she was with other people because I wasn't able to see the color of the tags, I think that frustrated her a little. That is the only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars. Usually the help is magnificent and the cashiers are extremely friendly.

This was my first visit to Thrift World. The shelves were organized and items were priced fairly. Also, the staff were friendly, in particular the woman who rang up my items. Without my asking she took the time to wrap each piece that could be easily broken. All while willingly engaging in pleasant conversation with me. Great shopping experience, thank you!

Your store was so clean. I was in a wheelchair and had no trouble getting between racks. The racks were not overcrowded. It was so easy to shop. The cashiers were very helpful and very courteous. I will be back often.

First time here and we seemed to have hit a good day. Lots of kids clothes in the sizes we needed new with tags. The vintage clothing section was a cool find as well as some of the odd housewares and odd and ends. Spent less than $18 for 4 pair of pants, 2 shorts, and 2 shirts for kids as well as a bag of miscellaneous spools of thread. All in new or very good condition.

Good selection. Good prices. Discounts on certain color tags, a great bonus!My family had a lot of fun shopping together. The only reason this is not a five star review is the dressing rooms. They were only two dressing rooms for the whole store. And one of them did not have any hook for hanging up your merchandise. Nor a place to put the clothes you were taking off, so everything had to go on the dusty floor.

This thrift store in Independence MO is clean and organized. It is not overly stuffed but it is spacious for moving around and has good air-conditioning for strolling through and looking for items. They have a rewards program also. The staff is very friendly. They honor seniors and military. Just like any thrift store sometimes there’s boatloads of treasure and sometimes no one in your family can find a darn thing! But definitely worth a look and keep checking back. Thank you! Inez

I was a little short on the price tag being asked for a item i really needed. So i took a chance of asking a employee for a discount or lower tag maybe. Because i needed this item so badly. And i don't steal. And with out a missed beat in her step and smile on her face she says come on with me. To the register we went. She covered the difference of what i was short out of her own pocket. It turns out i really wasn't much short at all like i had thought. But besides that fact knowing she was there made a world of difference for me.I wish i knew her name. But i was in tears so i had forgot to ask her. She knows who she is.Thank You!.... Clean well stocked organized thrift shop. Better than the large goodwill outlet in Omaha i went to. I found an amazing assortment of winter coats, sweaters, jackets and vests for a decent price, many that were in my size.

A great sale, not sure why the cashier the 1st time did not total my purchases and ask for pgt. Instead he added mine onto my daughter who was behind me, then he had to redo it. Other than that I found some great buys. Thanks

Some prices have gone up,and the guy that helped me at check out had the personality of a door knob. No grating, no thank you for coming. I miss the kind lady (ies) that used to work there.

I felt the actual prices were higher than what I see on a normal basis, then with a 50% off I felt like I barely got anything. This sale was busy had a variety of things and associates were pleasant however the prices for donated items are just as if you were brand new things. Sincerely Money Saving penny pinching Mom

Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had no idea about the rewards program they offered they're customers. I've always shopped at the N. 90th St location and never once was offered to sign up for the program. I went to the thrift world in LaVista for the very first time and BAM, I am now a member of the program. Highly recommending anyone to the same location I went to (LaVista), it's just a good shopping experience all around😊😊

Great selection, definitely needs more dressing rooms. Could have been cleaner (broken ceramic item on shelf that is easily accessible to small children, non clothing items were very disorganized), but hey... It's a thrift store. All in all one of the better ones in town.

The store is AWESOME! We are from Anita, IA and this was the cleanest, neatest, easiest thrift store we’ve ever been to and the clothing is so organized other than when people shopping place sizes 0-5 in the large and extra large sizes!! But, you go down one aisle and you can shop either side of the aisle finding your size clothes and don’t have to look all over to find capris, shorts, dresses, jeans, etc and great staff to work with, kind and helpful! We’ll be back! Good voices of shoes, purses and other accessories, bedding table coverings and placemats, curtains, rugs and more! Could have more jewelry and toys, but know your space is going to be limited! Thank you for a great shopping experience!

I found the store delightful. Wish they had a few wheelchairs to use there in you store. My husband and I can't get around that big store very easy, my husband not at all. The scooters they have at Wal-Mart would be GREAT. But really wheelchair would be nice. Thankyou

I stopped today. Needed to use the bathroom. Get clear to the back of store,Needed to have a key,clear in front of store. I have IBS. ( if you know, look it up) I left and will not be back.

I constantly find pretty good stuff here. It’s very open and easy to shop, not to mention quite large. They have decent fitting rooms and the staff is always friendly so return the favor and rehang unwanted items, put things back where they go, be nice, etc.

I took back a pair of Jean's that didn't fit and got two that did. However, I never got the current receipt for those items plus the t shirt. I would guess that as it is still fairly new and employees are still learning that the process will eventually work out better. I didn't realize she didn't put the receipt in the bag until I got home.

I had wanted to purchase a Fisher Price bouncer that had a price tag of 6.98 on it which I felt was a good price. I had notified the mother to be, that I had found one. Upon examination of it, I discovered that there were areas under the seat that had pulled away and were exposing the foam. I inquired if I could pay a little less for it, since I would have needed to sew it and when the manager came over, she refused to sell it to me at all, siting that it was a "liability hazard". To my knowledge, ALL thrift store items are understood to be used and do not come with any warranty, therefore there would have been no liability with that item any more than any other infant equipment you buy at a second hand store.I am a thrifty person who is also concerned about the environment and I feel this item was totally usable with some repairs. What a shame and disappointment that the store refused to sell it to me, when all I was asking for was a couple of dollars knocked off of the price for compensation of my time sewing it.Unhappy 👵 Grandma

Always a fun time shopping at thrift world. Items are clean and displayed well and the staff is cheerful. Love when they’re playing the 80”s music. Highly recommend the 84th Street location in La Vista!

108th & 84th are very nice & clean stores. Both have a large selection of adult & child clothing. My biggest concern is that many, many of the items especially of clothing do not have price tags. That is unfortunate!!
