Lots of great deals. Kids clothes were $1-5 depending on the item. Lots of different selections of home goods and books and baby stuff. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I enjoy the new hope stores however I am very concerned about how they go about things. I'm aware that they throw away a magnificent amount of donated items daily. I'd like to have the things they throw away to open a place for people who have no money,had a house fire,left a abusive spouse etc to collect things to help them get by free of charge. New hope will not give anyone anything to help them In a bad situation,rather have u sign a IOU. I don't understand the harm of having something they are throwing away if it'd help someone else.......it's called empathy. I don't mean to start a debate but can I please get some feedback

New Hope-Carroll has slipped from what it use to be......about the time the remodeled, the store atmosphere just wasn't the same & that's a management issue. The mission is still good and every dime you spend here goes for good cause!!!

Not the best experience. They had no prices posted. When we went to check out they had three workers and only one was doing their job. The other two were talking to people not paying attention. We finally were getting checked out and I gave her $20 and she didn't give me correct change and said I only gave her $5. She argued with me then opened the register and realized she put my 20 in the 5 place thank God. Just not a good experience and it's a downer cuz we alway donate here.

Love New Hope! Lots of treasures to be found and the prices are amazing!I especially like the huge and cheap selection of stuffed animals. I run them through the washer a couple of times ( sometimes in a pillowcase ) 'with lots of hot, soapy water and dry with three or four clean towels to fluff and they are like new!Whether rich or poor, we should all be doing our part to reduce, reuse and recycle....rather than buying new, whenever possible.Thank you to the generous people who donate merchandise!It seems everyone working there is so nice and kind and joyful.

Very nice place with a good selection and fair prices. Layout is simple and signs are clear. Card is accepted here. Clean store and friendly staff. Purchased several fragile pieces and cashier insured that they were well protected. I will be returning here in the future.

I'm all for great prices, but the customer service needs some help. If you go shopping don't bring your kids, they will end up getting screamed at for a simple skip around the store! If it's a problem let's teach them a lesson by telling them, not screaming at them!I complained and put my foot down and was told well.. it's a simple freaking skip. Get over it!

I love this Bargain shop, new arrivals every day. I just moved to Carroll and got a lot for my new place. Now Customer Service needs a lot of help, more smiles and friendly staff would be helpful so people feel welcome.

If you're willing to dig around for awhile, the prices can't be beat. My main complaint is the cleanliness of items, everything just has a 'grubby' feel to it like a Goodwill would, which makes sense because it's all donated items. Nothing that can't be fixed with a turn in a washer and dryer! :)

Love to shop there, but not priced very well..often too high in my opinion. I mean a bottle of Suave Shampoo for $2 when you can buy it at WalMart for $1. Who is doing the pricing here? I think everyone..I mean everyone should keep complaining to the management to bring back the $5 punch on the cards in addition to the $10. I would go much more often if they did..at the rate now..everytime I go I get NO stamp! Uggghhh!! Makes me not want to go!

The prices are getting out of control. People go for a bargain, it's no longer a bargain. I was looking at worn out shoes marked $3. They belonged in the landfill. Free hotel shampoo and lotions for .50...half used. I'm all for what it's there for, but come on. They have things behind the counter, but never can get one to help. They have their "auction" items because its ebay as well now. And they probably spent a pretty penny on their coffee shop, which explains why the cost of everything is so high. I can not justify going anymore. Unless your after kids clothes. Skip this place.

I went to the Jefferson story first, I called to see how many kids and adults were allowed in the lady informed me that it was 1 kid 1 adult but that changed. I went in with my wife and 3 kids. I come out to the Carroll store wall around about 10 min then was informed only 1 kid per adult. I informed them that I was just in the jefferson store and that they said the rules changed. I am not sure who the lady was but she made it clear that she makes the rules and that the jefferson store has no say so. It just showes you that works make up there own rules when the head person is not there so I took my money else were.

A lot like a Goodwill or Salvation Army. New Hope is a not for profit which benefits severely handicapped people who live at New Hope Village. Recently expanded the store to another wing. Lots to choose from and reasonably priced on most items. Check the auction items at the front of the store as well.

For a 2nd hand store they have very reasonable prices. Can find almost anything here if you have a little time to browse an look around. Staff is very friendly also.
