Great little grocery store, honestly this place I would say is known for its Fresh meats , fruits and vegetables, today I picked up 2 bacon wrapped 8oz filet mignons for $28 which in my opinion as a steal as they came out Perfectly ! Tasted amazing and was probably the best cut of meat I've had in years !I also managed to find some mission figs here which were phenomenal , I would contest they're a hundred times better than raisins !Found some healthy snacks as well and picked up a very fresh fruit tray for $15.Let's not forget to mention their alcohol and spirits Section is VERY good ! You could probably find just about anything here for as small as this little place is, the staff are also VERY nice !During our checkout one of the cashier's noticed my girlfriend was pregnant and politely asked when she was due, chatted a bit and gave us some free coupons to discount our fresh fruit/vegetable purchases and wished us luck (: our groceries were also carried out by another nice employee!Great experience

Awesome store with great selection. We drive from the Southside of Des Moines to shop here. Store is clean and we'll lit. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable as well. We love the meat counter! We usually only buy Fareway meat.Keep up the good work and We'll keep coming back!

It is always clean, employees are friendly, and it feels like small town grocery. May not have all the brand you may be looking for, but they usually have something comparable. Be sure to check their meat counter where everything is wrapped to order

They purposely put up sale signs misleading customers on there prices then hoping they dont notice as it's being rung up and this isnt just my opinion the employees themselves and even a few managers have said it's ridiculous how the fareway corparation have them post signs that have huge prices showing a good deal and words you need a magnifying glass to read in the fine print.

Really clean store and laid out very well. Nice spacing and lots of room. Fruit selection looks amazing as far as quality. The Granny Smith green apples (one of my favorite items) looked picture perfect, way better than any other grocery store I've bought them from in the past.They don't have a huge selection of items. Some of the snacks such as Fruit Roll Ups and Reese''s Granola Bars are way more expensive than Walmart. But here you also are paying for the convenience of local shopping also, so....?

I'm truly hoping this was just an off day as i don't come to this location often. My shopping experience was typical of fareway which is why i love them. My groceries were not offered to be brought to my car and i happen to be handicap.

Being a small grocery store with a ton of people using it leads to it constantly being out of stock. The meat department is also smaller & has less of a selection than other stores. It is handy to have in town, has a friendly staff, & is a nice clean store.

It's a good neighborhood store. Sometimes the prices are competitive and sometimes they are not. I have requested my favorite flavor of coffee creamer numerous times to no avail. For quick, last minute trips it is convenient.

It's a great store, though it's not a big store. It's a great size for a small town like Carlisle and the store itself is a huge asset to the community. They have an awesome meat market, as you'd expect from Fareway, and almost all the groceries you need to pick up on your way home from work.

Not my favorite of the Fareway stores but still nice. The staff, for the most part is great. Selection is sort of limited which I don't care for but, I understand since is a smaller town. Overall it's good store in great location. Was much needed in Carlisle.

This Fareway has a very good selection of gluten-free items. Their produce is usually fresh and the meat counter has good prices and selection. The employees are friendly and the management is willing to order product if you need something they don't already carry.

I love the new Carlisle Fareway! Its always so nicely organized and clean! The gals and staff in there are friendly,but today there was red-headed young man, and someone needs to help teach some manners! He was just rude!

Sad choices for meat, bakery items and fresh produce. I was stunned at how expensive it was. Perhaps it’s the norm for Iowa but this southern girl was in sticker shock. Also bought several items that rang up more expensive than the posted price.

People are always friendly and helpful there. Only in and out quickly when I'm in a hurry. Meat department always is in stock. Great place to shop.

What you would expect from a small town grocer. Building and interior and very clean. Not a big grocery store, but they have the basics to cook almost anything. Staff always polite and friendly.

It's an okay store, my issue with it is:It claims on its sign that it is a full service store; yet it has no bakery the few they get comes from the Pleasant Hill store. It is too small and limited on selections; the area is growing, there should be a store in place ready for the influx of people. Just my opinion.
