The displays in the isles are annoying and make it extremely hard to get through with a cart and others in the aisles. Also, many unpacked boxes on dollies blocking the aisles. Heaven forbid if there were a fire it would be extremely difficult to get out! Major safety issue fyi.

I use Dollar General and coupon frequently. While there today they would not use a coupon for batteries because they did not know how to "override" it. The coupon was their own and on their app. They had zero interest in working to remedy the situation. Extremely poor customer service and were happy to lose the sale.

Employe was really nice. Disappointed that Pepsi had been there. And didn't leave any Pepsi zero. So when go back on mon it wont be on sale. My husband is a diabetic and can drink it.

THERES ALWAYS SOME UNEXPECTED BARGAINS HERE.THE 1ST TIME I WAS EVER IN A DOLLER GENERAL STORE WAS IN WAYNESBORO,TENN.WHENBI WENT IN WITH SOME OF MY TENN.FAMILY MEMBERS,I COULDNT BELIEVE MY EYES,,,LIKE BLUE JEANS WERE AROUND $6.00-7.00 A PAIR&THEY HAD LIKE NICE PULL OVER EVERY DAY SHIRTS FOR AROUND $5.00-6.00.YOU COULD GET A PAIR OF SHOES FOR AROUND $12.00.IT WAS JUST TO HARD TO BELIEVE ABOUT WHAT A STORE I WAS SHOPPING IN.IFELT LIKE A BIG KID AT CHRISTMAS TIME.I BEGGED THE CASHIER TO PLEASE TELL THE OWNERS TO GET A STORE IN BURLINGTON,IOWA.SHE STARTED LAUGHING AND SAID I WONDERED WHY YA ALL SOUNDED A LITTLE DIFFERENT.SOME 25-30YEARS LATER OR MORE THERE WAS IN BURLINGTON,FINALLY,OUR DOLLER GENERAL STORE.YA ALL DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING IF YA DONT GO TO DOLLER GENERAL.

Management really can make all the difference in the retail world! - One name: Sarah! - As someone who came from retail management - You've gotta give credit where credit is due, in lieu of sheer work ethic; at this location, at this time, in June 19' - things have "turned around" (had you been frustrated in the past), & - had you not (even been frustrated), they've Improved Immensely! & Here's why: It (work ethic & job commitment), reflects in her employees:Comprehensive if new to the area, ECT:- 1st: More seasoned Associates are exceptionally Professional, knowledge (product location, shipping dates, etc), &, first-name basis friendly! - All of which increase consumer retention! 💪👍👍- 2nd: Recent hire's quickly learn that they'll most likely be seeing the same faces, sometimes even multiple times/wk & - NOTE: EVERYONE has bad days, (*Associates & *Patrons), & that RESPECT is RECIPROCAL.Recommendation (s): The best way to find something; (as product expansion, & - inevitably, relocation, or if a you're NEW Patron 🙂 ... venturing in getting the feel for things - Is to ✋ wave down an employee who's "stocking"! ---> If you can locate an An Associate "stocking" in the aisle, (as it's very difficult for an Associate, *if alone @ the POS (point of sale, "Cashier"), to pull away), I can Assure you that the Associate stocking will pull away & give you a helping hand finding it! 👫👍I will add that: As someone who grew up learning how purchase/"buy", if you will, @: "scratch n' dents", flee markets, & the treat of a good barder at a Farmer's Market (local or afar)... Dollar General has become my weekly go to for several household products; you'd be surprised what you can find, & they're always adding more! ✔️

This is kind of a dusty DG. Floors are dirty, and the staff is never very friendly. It doesn't matter which time I go here it seems like they don't like their job (seems to be the culture of this location). I like the options and prices though.
