Made the drive to Janie's to get a slab of their smoked BBQ ribs. Can totally say it was worth it! First off, the staff there are friendly as can be. I loved meeting their "mascot", a wonderfully charming tripod doggo named "Rizz." After some nice conversation with the dog's owner, we took our ribs home to eat for dinner. They were some of the meatiest and most flavorful ribs I've ever had! Meat was cooked perfectly and came off the bone in mouthfuls. Great investment as the slab served as dinner for 2 evenings and lunch on a 3rd day. Can't recommend these highly enough!

Thought I'd get out of the QC and try Janie's Riverview Cafe. It was seat yourself. So, I pick the only table that was cleaned off. And the table was still wet. So, I asked them to wipe it off. I ordered my food and when it came it looked delicious. And it was. The real problem was it seemed the waitress wasn't very attentive. Maybe she was overwhelmed by the amount of customers. She seemed to be the only one waiting on tables. The food was a solid 5 out of 5. Service needs some work.

Delicious Chicken Parmesan Sandwich with Onion Rings. The chicken parm had 2 mozzarella sticks on it and I approve. Price point was average, would recommend!

The food was good. We waited an hour and a half for our breakfast on a late Sunday morning. There were 6 people in our group. We were told by the locals that this isn't the normal wait. We were not told of the reason for the delay. We were not offered any reduction in our bill for the inconvenience of our long wait. We probably won't ever go back to this establishment.

It was super busy only one waitress she was fantastic. Didn't let the rush bog her down she was still friendly and professional. The food was fantastic too. Small but delightful place. A little hard for my friend to get around with her walker but the busy waitress was more than accomodating helping to move things out of the way.

A lovely little diner. The staff are a joy and the food is classic. I enjoyed going down with my family for breakfast so much that I ended up working there. Great work experience, great food, great regulars.Vegetarian options: There's plenty of options for vegetarians, an active effort made to provide something for folk with dietary restrictions.Kid-friendliness: There's candy, toys, and coloring books for the little ones, and a treasure chest to pull a goodie from every time you come and go. Not to mention cups sized just for them and a chef who can make pancakes with Mickey Mouse ears. A great place for the kids.

I left a critical review here awhile back, but I decided to remove it because the owner responded so thoughtfully and graciously. I've ordered from Janie's since and the food is outstanding. You can tell that the owner is really trying to make her customers happy. If ever there is an issue, the owner is quick to apologize and make things right. The owner has integrity and it makes all of the difference.

This is a great place with friendly staff, fair prices, and good food. But please do me a favor and take the crackers out of the salt shakers and replace them with white rice. I understand why the crackers are there, rice will serve the same purpose and doesn't contain gluten. The party I was with has a gluten alergy and could have gotten very sick. It seems petty if you are not alergic but it can be very serious. Just looking out for others with the same allergies. Thanks.

We stopped today for breakfast and so glad we did. I got the biscuits and gravy and GIANT cinnamon roll. Best cinnamon roll I have ever had by far. Hubby got the chorizo breakfast burrito and said it was awesome. It was really good size also. By the way we shared the cinnamon roll.

Stopped on a cross country trek. One of the few places that makes a pancake correctly that I have found. Crisp edges. Browned webbed pattern. Fluffy center but cooked through. Eggs were plump and done right. Bacon crisp. Coffee good. And all at a too low price.

I had a chorizo burrito for breakfast . It was awesome ! The coffee hot and good . Great food and service . The river view is beautiful . I highly recommend making the drive , it’s totally worth it .
