A half gallon of Half & Half costs $7.99.A Half gallon of Half & Half costs $3.98 at Wackmart!This is a reflection of the price jumps to a large portion of their groceries, and it really bothers me because I really enjoy the people that work there.However, their plant selections are pretty cool!! They always change, and you don't really know what's coming next. Their plant section kinda reminds me of the movie,Little Shop Of Horrors; you never know what gem you will find sitting by itself.It makes you feel like you discovered something awesome when you come across it. I have a rare cactus from them, and it's been with me for 3 years now! 😁

The staff is extraordinarily friendly. I walked in and I was literally greeted with "Have a fun time!" It caught me off guard and put a smile on my face. I appreciate the helpfulness of all the staff.

This isn't my regular HyVee, but any time I am house sitting, it's right there in walking distance to stock up on snacks or groceries. Its layout is a bit different compared to the two Ames locations, but you can still find what you need.The attached restaurant is also very good even though I didn't indulge this time around.

I attempted to buy Jimmy Dean pork sausage patties. NONE available except for Maple flavored. I then saw every type of Jimmy Dean sausage was outdated. I attempted to buy Sarah Lee 45 calorie wheat and honey bread. All out, none available.

You know it's a shame that the pharmacy people are so rude,and downright nasty,except for a few older, and new "hires", they treat people like dog's, ( not the older ad new hires,), the ones that have been there a decade or two, they bash fat people, disabled and so much more terrible statements, after they have left, it's sad,because we along with our neighbors won't shop there anymore!

My office away from home. Good staff here. Jason does excellent cooking breakfast in the kitchen. Rated high because of staff, it would be much lower regarding the corporate brand. Corporate does not give enough recognition and flexibility to employees. I see the same hard working full time staff all the time. They never get a two day weekend or consecutive two days away from work. Overworking the best employees and running thru the rest like trading cards. Great employees deserve time with family and flexibility to have passions outside of work. It will only make the workplace better!

Today is the last day I will ever willingly step foot in Boone HyVee.First, the prices are extraordinarily high. A loaf of bread is 6.00. Everything in this hyvee typically runs around 50% higher than other grocers in the area.My real complaint is about the checker who checked me out.Her name is Deanne. When I arrived to check out, there were 2 lanes open. One lane had 3 people in it, the other one was empty.I became the 4th person in the full lane.The employees were busy chattering and laughing, and I was baffled that with so many of them there, why wasn't there a checker at the empty lane.After a couple of minutes, one of the employees caught my eye and said she would check me out. Clearly, it was her lane and she had been having too much fun to assist customers.I started to unload my cart ( I had about 15 cans of cat food, and 5 other items) and she slammed a "lane closed" sign down in front of me.I looked at her, thinking ok, I thought she said she would check me out. She giggled and said, "just put your stuff in front of the sign." I said "Okay", and started to unload.Then she started talking. "I was going to put it there anyway, it's for after you go, through. SSSsoooorrrryyyy."I was a little disconcerted. I get maybe she wanted to make sure I understood, that she actually just hadn't told me she would check me out, and then slammed a land closed sign right where I was about to set the milk.What I don't get is the tone of her voice, snotty, rude, sarcastic.I looked at her and said, "stop it, you do not get to talk to me that way."She gasped and said "Whaaaat waayy."Please. Does this woman drink on the job? Does she normally get away with open rudeness? She NEEDED me to explain to her that snarking at someone, is rude?I said you are being rude. Sarcasm is not ok.She denied it. She argued. Not only was she afk from her aisle, yukking it up with other employees, she acted like a jerk, then tried to deny it.What did I expect her to do? Her job, with basic courtesy.She is clearly used to acting this way. I told her, "just stop".She said I would never be sarcastic! Of course she would. She was, she did.I will be following this review up with a complaint to HyVee corporate.Thanks Deanne.

I frequent another town and also go to the HyVee there. While I enjoy that one too, the Boone hyvee seems like it has way more sales. I was recently thrilled to see my favorite frozen pizzas on sale, and recently a chip dip that is hard to find anywhere now was on sale four for five! I just moved to my first apartment here in town, and don't have a lot of cash, so finding groceries for good prices makes me happy. I definitely enjoy this location.

The last 2 times I have shopped there, my coupons AND the daily deals have NOT come off my bill. had I not paid attention, between both times, I would have lost about $30. They need to get that straightened out. asap!

Very good! Everything was perfect! Store was in very good shape. Bathroom was clean, shelves were stocked, everything appeared to be in order and they were quick to add a cashier when the line started to back up...

Shelves were empty, no help in the isles, meat and eggs over priced. And I don't need a minute by minute count down of the last 45 minutes the store was open. If their customer service was like the count down my visit would have been tolerable.

I have not been to this store in a while. They recently added a Starbucks. I hear it is not fun to work here. They have lots of groceries, but Walmart sells them for cheaper. The garden section here is good.

So who's bright idea was it to have Flora closed at 3pm , ON MOTHER'S DAY?????????...... Good job, that just brought you down to one Star 💫...The bakery needs work, they tend to over bake their cookies, if they were to pull them just a minute or two sooner they would be nice and soft, also bring back real donuts, otherwise there's no point in having a bakery you might as well just call it a place that makes cakes

I got a birthday cake for my daughter. There was no bakery person there today which I thought was odd! The pharmacist ( i think her name was Nikki) wrote Happy Birthday (my daughters name). She did such a great job! Thank you again!

I'm not sure what's happened to the Hy-Vee in Boone, but the changes in employee attitudes are both noticeable and significant. It wasn't that long ago that "A helpful smile in every aisle" was more than a slogan...it was real and customers experienced it on a regular basis. I visited the store today to find too many empty shelves, employees who treated me as an interruption, and an overall atmosphere of ... 'who cares'. As a customer, I experienced what it's like to be invisible! The only exception was the checkout clerk who actually thanked me for being there. Loss leaders and slick ads aren't the only reasons why people choose where to shop. Perhaps it's just the effect of the pandemic and isolated to this location, I hope so. But, the change is tangible and regrettable. Hy-Vee is better than that. Just saying.
