Don’t know much about breeds of chicks. They have black australorps and black copper marans in the same pen. Supposed to be black australorps. The marans have feathered feet.

They have a huge selection of clothing, hardware and tools, along with pet supplies, footwear and even baby chicks, if you are looking to raise poultry. Friendly Staff!

Having just discovered Bomgaars in Grimes I was eager to compare the Boone store. Except for the fact that their layouts mirror each other you will find the same amazing selection of quality goods at both stores. Lots of items well displayed in spacious aisles make shopping a pleasure. Toys for little kids and tools for big ones. Staff seems attentive but not pushy.

We are planning to move to Boone. We needed a lawn mower, but didn’t have a way to get it to our property. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The guy that delivered it did it right away! He checked everything out and made sure it was ready to mow before he left. We had a great experience with the Boone store.

They won't manually put in ebt cards if it doesn't swipe, my card is old and i couldn't get my items otherwise.They have awful cat treat selection.

I was so impressed until today. I was checking a Dewalt 20v 4ah and was told it would only last 15 min at a time. Who the eff would buy a battery that only lasts that long. Went to ACE and got reassurance that it should last 30 to 40 min. Disappointed.

They have a great selection of clothes and shoe's for the whole family. They also have lots of options on food and other supplies for your 4 legged fur babies and the animals that live outside. Nice selection of stuff for your kitchen and cleaning supplies!

Awesome store. Giant selection of power tools and clothing and work boots plus a huge assortment of dog and cat food. They have everything else you could possibly need from a farm/hardware store. Very price competitive and easy to shop.

Great farm et al store! Have all animal supplies large to small. Fun to look at cute chicks in the spring. Staff was helpful. Great cooking and plant items too!

Wow.. not sure where to start. Go to Menards or Harbor Frieght if you can. This place is way overpriced. Not even close to online prices. Looking at +$300 on larger purchases. Couldn't find a single person to ask about stuff. Then I got to checkout and no one would help me. Had to just walk out. Unbelievable. Go support higher quality stores.

It's a very handy store with a diverse inventory available for the handyman. Checks all the boxes when looking for a good farm/suburban shopping destination.

Would recommend going to Theisen's in Ames for better prices, particularly for hardware, fasteners and power tools.But for a quick run for a small purchase or just to avoid the drive, its very convenient to have a Bomgaar's just right around the corner! I just love farm/hardware stores!

Great help the staff was willing to go out of their way to help me find the things that I needed when it look like I was looking around for a while someone walked up to me and asked if they could be of help.....this person helped me look for what, we didn't find it, took the time to help me even look and call around to see if anyone else would know where else to look

This was a store I probably wouldn't have thought I'd shop at much during the times of Amazon, however the deals, customer service and selection is excellent and I get all my tools and welders from here versus online now.

There is nothing like the clearance racks at Bomgaars. We just bought a pair of. Catepillar work boots for $10.
