We adopted a 4-month old shihpoo from Providence Puppies in March 2024. We have never had a dog previously so truly didn't know what to expect. John was AMAZING to work with! He answered all of our questions (and we had a lot) and was incredibly accommodating. Our puppy has been so good! She is exactly what we were looking for. She has adjusted incredibly well to our home and is such a sweet and lovable pup! I highly recommend Providence Puppies!

The whole process of getting my teddy bear dog was great. He was very responsive at answering calls and he even let me FaceTime as we were from a different state and wanted to meet him virtual. He is willing to work with you to pick your dog up. I also thought it was the sweetest thing that he sent us with a blanket that smelled like home so he could get comfortable with us. Shows he really cares about the dogs well being.

I would 10/10 recommend Providence Puppies. I had the most wonderful experience and got the most amazing dog I could ever ask for. John the owner truly goes above and beyond when it comes to this process and really knows what he is doing. He was there to provide answers to all my questions and made me feel really prepared to take a brand new puppy home. He sends you home with little treats for the puppy and all the proper paper work needed. His response time is impeccable and he continues to follow up with you after you get the dog, which I found very helpful. I got Miss Mila, a mini black poodle, a few months ago and she is as healthy and happy as can be. A wonderful addition to my life and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I purchased 7 month old Toy Poodle Lotus, aka Gloria at Providence Puppies. All that was advertised was delivered. John was quite friendly and the other pups there appeared happy and healthy. Lotus is doing quite well. She follows me everywhere I go. She's eating well and getting plenty of exercise and sleep. She got a clean bill of health at her wellness check. It was between her and another pup at a different breeder who seemed a tad bit sketch. I no doubt made the right choice. Country life at Providence is different than city life but she's getting use to all the new sights and sounds and settling in well.

We got a male Teddy Bear in October 2022 and he is the best! I have 2 friends who have puppies from Providence and they referred me. It is obvious that John loves his animals in the care and training he provides! Since bringing our boy home I have peppered John with questions and he is always happy to help. I never feel like he gets annoyed with my questions. I would fully recommend Providence Puppies!

We brought home our beloved Teddy Bear puppy, Finn, from Providence Puppies in May 2020 and the whole experience was great! From the day we decided we wanted a puppy right up until we took him home. John was very responsive during the application process and allowed us to come and play with the available puppies in his litter so we could pick our future family member. He was patient with our questions and even allowed us to stay longer than he probably expected so we could feel like we really got our perfect match. He made sure Finn was ready to go to his forever home as well - not rushing to wean him from his mother and siblings. Finn is a beautiful puppy and we truly adore him. We purposely chose him even though he was the ‘runt’ of his litter because we loved how playful he was - you’d never know he was the littlest one with such a BIG personality! Thank you, John!! We’ve already recommended your puppies to our family members and anyone else that asks, without any reservations!

We got our sweet girl from John last winter. He is open to all questions, prior to, during, and after getting a pup. I appreciated that he keeps the pups until they're ready (week 11 in our case). They come vet checked and microchipped. If/when we decide to get a second pup, we will definitely go back to him. Here's a pic of our ShihPoo, now 9 months old.

Would highly recommend Providence Puppies. We purchased a toy poodle from John in December. Took me a month or two of searching to find a good reputable breeder here in Iowa (being transplants to the area). Growing up with poodles I knew they were great dogs. John was very quick to respond, called me within hours of filling out an inquiry. After chatting for quite some time I had a great feeling about it all. We were able to visit a puppy 2 days later and we fell in love… and brought her home! Our chocolate phantom toy poodle, Maggie, has the sweetest demeanor! She is so smart, lovable, well behaved! Feels like she’s been part of our family for forever. John takes such great care of his puppies and you can tell he really cares about what home they go to. He sent us home with a small handmade blanket, treats, and food. Couldn’t have had a better experience! We are now lifetime Providence Puppy buyers. If/when we need another puppy again, we won’t go to anyone else. Highly recommend! Don’t sleep on this and give John a call!

John arranged for all the transportation and our puppy arrived without a hitch. Our puppy, Enzo, arrived and was very healthy. He adjusted to our family quite easily. I recently got a Shih Tzu from John and grateful I came across his puppies online and facebook. Bentley is smart, learns commands quickly, excellent health check from my vet, adapted very well to a new home and is very playful. John was very quick in responses and thoroughly answered every question I had for him. Seeing the puppies all interact with each other playing and how well they are maintained was a plus. Will definitely get my next puppy from Providence Puppies and will highly recommend John to everyone I know that's looking for a pet!

I have to say my experience with John was even better than I expected.I had been researching and searching for the perfect breed for our family. We have very young grand children, so it was important to find a good fit for them and one that would also win over our 11 year old maltipoo.When I came across John’s site I studied the different breeds and read the feedback left from others. After that I knew we had found the right breeder for us.I reached out to John and he immediately responded. He encouraged me to call so he could answer any questions I had. I did and he was so helpful! He not only answered all of my questions, but he also had some for me.
