The smell was horrid when we picked up our girl and it was not clean. To make it worse, they were in another building and all the lights were off. We waited until my husband finally started calling. I see why they don't like to stay in that building from the smell. Not only that our girl had number 2 dried in her fur. Just.awful, our poor.girl was so traumatized

Been a customer for 6yrs but I will not be trusting my dogs to their care ever again. My last time boarding there were weeds overgrown everywhere, a terrible stench in the air and the building infested with biting flies. When I picked up my dogs all 3 had feces smeared on their legs so I know they weren't let out properly, they were covered in bites from the flies and while I can't prove it I highly suspect my male dog was hit. What I thought was a large bite at first glance was actually an even larger bruise once I gave him a bath and could see through his fur and his ribs were tender. During the pickup my dogs were released from the kennel and let run free to the lobby 🤦🏿‍♂️. There is normally a cat in the lobby that my dogs could have hurt, there could have been other dogs etc. Just extremely unsafe. I can't believe how far this place has fell and now to read that someone's dog died in their care around the same time. I'm so happy I left my heat sensitive dog with family that trip. Do not board here under the current ownership.

WOW- had an appointment to drop off my pet today & noone there ! Waited 1/2 hour, kept calling, nothing. Looked in window saw 7 black trash bags full on floor, window was open & stink blowing out. Walked toward kennels in back & saw about 10 cat litter pails oin 1, weeds growing out front and back. Saw 1 dog out in kennel & heard others barking from inside. This is not the same as when I used to board my pet & definitly wouldn't have left her there if someone would have showed up !!! DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET HERE !!!

This place is amazing, I've kenneled my two babies there twice now, and both times they came back very happy and healthy! I think they enjoy it, and I feel like the folks working there are taking great care of these pups. My dogs are like my children to me, so precious, its difficult for me to leave them, but now I feel much better having them kenneled at Bison Ridge. I feel like I don't have to worry about them, and that they are safe and happy!Also, there was a mix-up on the cost of my last stay, I was under the impression it would be for two days, but was charged for three. It actually should have been three days, the cashier explained to me how the billing works and I was perfectly happy with her explanation.Just checked my account, they only charged me for two days. Little things like that are what builds customer loyalty, and I will not be taking my dogs anywhere else! Great place, great folks. Highly recommended.

Do not take your dog here for boarding or to get groomed. Staff/ owner are rude and to add on top of that I just saw they neglected a dog while in their care. My dog would pull back and urinate when I took him for grooming. Changed places and he loves it.

They let my dog die while their care. Instead of calling me when they noticed she was having health issues (she was 5 and healthy) they sprayed her with a hose and left her to die, and she did. They could have called me and told me the evening before when she had issues and I could have had her to the emergency vet getting fluids and finding out what was wrong. Nope they sprayed her with a hose and put her in a cage and let her suffer and die ALL night long. Then they didnt call me for 2.5 hours after they found her dead the next morning. They tried to tell me she was only outside for 10 mins in the heat (it’s not shaded at all). But I don’t believe that for a second considering they let my children’s beloved dog suffer all night and waited for her to die before ever trying to reach me!

It's not really how much I like it..... it's about how much my dogs like it....and if tail wags are the judge I guess they like it! The employees have always been helpful and courteous and nice to my fur babies. The prices for kenneling and/or grooming are reasonable and comparable to other businesses in the area. And you can always take time to talk to the bison if they come up to the fence!

We have our dog Buddy Guy groomed here and he loves it!! They are wonderful people who care and love our dog just as much as we do! I mean he is a pretty calm easy dog but they always clean him up well, making him dapper. The facilities are nice and the service is always wonderful. Check out their prices too, pretty great in our opinion!

I love this place! Their staff are so wonderful and every time I pick up my dog I’m relieved to find him happy and so well taken care of! My dog has been shedding quite a bit lately so I opted to get him groomed. The groomer is AMAZING. He left looking so handsome and feeling the SOFTEST he’s ever felt. I would definitely recommend this place!

We LOVE Bison Ridge. Our dogs are well cared for so we dont have to worry about them while on vacation. For a last minute trip over a holiday weekend they were full so we had to look for another kennel. I was amazed that most other kennels post photos of their "guests" on social media and won't guarantee that our dogs will not be photographed. 1) We don't want it known that we're out of town or that these dogs are there (lots of dog snappers lately in our area). We will most likely change our travel plans so that we know our dogs are in safe and in good hands.

Bison Ridge Kennels is big, well organized, and clean. The kennel is completely separate from the buffalo operation.I was impressed with both of the Bison Ridge employees that I met. They were young, but focused on my dogs making sure that they knew what I wanted.My dogs were "between groomers" so their coats were in rough shape with oil, dirt, and mats. The groomer did the best they could with the situation. The dogs weren't beautiful but they were clean and groomed, which is all I could ask.

Rarely will I rate a place with five stars. There is usually room for improvement somewhere so I take my hat off to the staff at Bison Ridge! Wonderful alternative to your typical puppy jail. The heated floors, the set up of the kennels (allowing the dog freedom to go inside and outside add they please ), and the friendly staff made the selection process extremely easy. The prices steer very reasonable and I think I only paid an extra $4 per day more than I had at previous establishments.

We kenneled our dogs for 10 days for the duration of our recent trip. The kennel staff were incredibly kind, and I appreciated the fact that they had notes on how the dogs were doing and what happened. For instance, one of our dogs was having some tummy troubles, so they gave her a probiotic, which I appreciated. The dogs seemed to be in good spirits, so I think they at least had an ok time and they did not seem to be upset or anxious.All in all, a great kennel, and we will definitely use them again for our future trips!

Seemed to take good care of my dog. They seemed like nice people. The groomer was sick, he didn't get groomed. He came back smelling like a dog. He never smells like a dog.

The workers seem to be happy to work there and to love their jobs. My dog has had a better attitude after being there and has been more laid back... the workers are so nice and generous enough that they gave my dog a bath and clipped her nails even though I didn't pay for it. There is a doggy door that the dogs go through to go to a fenced in area where they do their business. I will continue to take my dog there they are so so nice and i am not worried to leave my dog in their hands.

Love the grooming...we tried so many places and were always disappointed. We have been going for at least 2 years and always a great experience! Tanker and Ruger love the staff they are excited to be dropped off. Also use kenneling occasionally. Highly recommend!

This is the best kennel to which I have ever taken my dogs. Everyone is kind, caring and attentive. One of my dogs did not have her rabies vaccination up to date, and I was told they charge $15 to take a pet to the local veterinarian. Upon pick-up, I was given her records from the local vet, her tag and a photo of her. They allow your pets to stay together; you're given the option of an indoor-only or indoor-outdoor kennel. If you forget blankets, they provide them. Grooming is available and at a really decent price. I completely trust Bison Ridge.

Monique spent hours bathing, brushing, and trimming my Great Pyrenees. He went in looking like a pauper and came out looking like a king. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. Thank you!

Bison Ridge has been grooming our two collies for years. They do a wonderful job as most groomers want to cut a lot out of a collie's coats because they are farm dogs and do get mats. They do not. They are very careful and do a wonderful job. They look like show dogs when we pick them up! The dogs love going there too!I recommend!

I have been taking my dogs here to be groomed for over 2 years. The staff is always friendly and my dogs always seem relaxed and happy when I pick them up. The prices are reasonable too.

I left my poodle at WBBRK when I went on RAGBRAI in 2016. I thought I had left a review here earlier but maybe not. Anyway, the place is clean. The staff and animals seemed OK until I realized the day after I got my dog that her ears were completely full of pus. The dog groomer cut the inside of her ears; scabs were on the inside ridges. My vet checked my dog before I left. Yet the groomer claimed I had done it. I complained to the Iowa Dept of Agri ... total waste as they did not agree with me. I visited three vets as I drove west; got anti-biotics, had my dog tested, etc. I would NEVER recommend this place for any grooming beyond a wash.

Great price and always seem to have availability - even at the last second. I'm holding off a star for the fact they are only open 1 hr on Sunday and they try to "trick" you into the more indoor/outdoor package which costs a bit more. Other than that it's been a great experience.

The best kennel we've ever used! Their staff is friendly and remembers our pups. Also they have indoor/outdoor kennels with a pool so my boys can stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

I have a 110+ pound dog and have had them board him while traveling several times and have had him groomed several times and they do an amazing job. You can not ask for a better place to take care of a family member.

Great Bison meat. Super lean and not strong flavored. Was treated very well, and they were happy to answer questions, will buy from again!
