A great little book store in downtown Bellevue, IA. The owner was sweet & very helpful. We found quite a few books for my soon to be first grandson. Highly recommend stopping by. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍

Sheila (the owner) is so friendly and happy to assist as is the other gal that works there. Her pup Brodie is a cutie and always fun to visit with them. She has so many different items. Wines, Dune Jewelry, kid's toys and items and more. Have never been disappointed stopping in and will make trip from Ames to see them and shop!!

I specifically drove out of there from DBQ (yea, not a long journey I know!) because I read so many good reviews. I was excited. The store was beautiful, even if it was a bit cluttered. Good selection of books, but to find what you want you literally have to sit down and move books from spot to spot to find what's behind the ones facing front. The store is more sign related and over-priced jewelry rather than " a lot of books". Also, I read that the lady of the place is super sweet and what not...I'm going to give her two stars. Other than greeting us and checking us out, she ignored us completely. Never once asking if we were doing okay or if she could help us find anything. Sadly, unless you're in the area - it's not worth a check out.

If you're a fan of wooden words, this place is filled with them. There are lots of gifts and toys and greeting cards, along with a variety of books. This is nothing like Books A Million; it is a small, charming shop with friendly owner and clerks. If you enjoy the little tourist areas like Galena, Illinois, Fort Des Moines, Iowa, and Salinas, California, you will enjoy Bellevue and its rows of little shops.

Such a cute little store with lots of different types of gifts including books, signs, wine, candies, jewelry, candles, toys and greeting cards. I would recommend making a day trip out to Bellevue, Iowa to check out this cute little store.

We love shopping local and supporting bookstores such as this one - but one thing that we don't like is rude service. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and were immediately greeted by the lady at the desk with a very disdainful stare and a curt "we're closing in twenty minutes". She immediately turned and barked at another customer with the same message. I could tell from the look on the other customer's face that she was as taken aback by the rude welcome as we were. On a side note, it's marketed as a bookstore but there's as much for sale here that isn't books as there are actual books. Sadly, can't recommend a stop here.

I just recently visited, and I have to say that I love it! It has a somewhat “Mom and Pop” vibe about it, and it houses many books about Iowa and many, many good and old children’s books. I will definitely visit again!
