I didn't get to stay here personally. My car broke down and your parking lot was the safest place I could see to hopefully park it overnight. You're front desk person, Samantha, was extremely welcoming and empathetic to the situation. Even knowing I wasn't going to be able to spend the night she offered me a complimentary tea or coffee and a safe place to wait for my cousin. Though it won't be this time I stay, people Iike Samantha are what will keep people stopping. I will be back! Thank you for you hospitality.

Cute,Friendly & Comfortable! Stopped for the night, driving from Chicago to Denver. Roberto, the nightshift manager, was 5 star friendly. Clean rooms, good breakfast, they love dogs and right off the highway next to a Flying J. Perfect mid spot for this drive. Morning crew was just as wonderful. This will be my new go-to for that Midwest trip. Great job, Cobblestone!

Stayed here passing through. It’s very close to the highway…easy on easy off. The hotel was extremely clean and updated. The front desk staff was so polite and helpful. Breakfast was hot and well stocked. Beds were comfortable although the sheets were a little scratchy. (That’s the only thing holding me back from 5 stars.) I would definitely stay here again!

Absolute wonderful place, with Tamara at the front desk making it hands down amazing. Long day on the road with my wife and looking for a place and found this gem right off of I-80. Rooms are clean and cozy with a great shower. Arrived and Ms. Tamara at the front desk was heart warming, checked us in, and then along with her front desk job made us dinner off of the menu they offer. Making me and my wife dinner while checking guests in, ladies and gentlemen do not think twice on this excellent place to stay while on the road

Stayed here to attended the graduation of my granddaughter. Upon arrival was informed that the city of Avoca was under a boil water order. Staff was very accommodating. Free water was provided to brush teeth and free cold bottles of water provided to drink and make coffee. Also a discount was given for the inconvenience. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Temperature was easy to adjust between air and heat. Yes there are trucks that are going in and out of truck stop all night but the noise was minimal. I will stay there again although I do feel they are a little pricey for the location.

For the most part it was a great stay. Booking through Expedia ended up being cheaper. The young gal that checked us in was great. Sammy was a delight, she was there for breakfast too. but another worker came up while in the middle of checking in and started talking in a very unprofessional way to the younger girl. Was very off putting and made my husband and I uncomfortable. Nice to have a bar there but the angry one wasnt very friendly there either. Otherwise, beautiful building. Pretty sunset as well.

I came in to see if there was any availability. It was 12am. The lady sitting at the desk asked us how many people, we’re 6. She told us that only 4 are allowed in a room. We said it was fine, that we would pay for two separate rooms, it wasn’t a problem for us. We just wanted a place to stay for the night regardless of the price. She continued to check us out. I had the cash in my hand to pay. She told me they didn’t take cash. I said that was fine so I gave her my card, it was a debit card. She then proceeded to tell me that they couldn’t take my card because they only take credit cards and the debit card wasn’t going through. She then started examining my card asking if it was a real card or fake. If the bank Wells Fargo is a real bank, I’m from NJ but even I know there’s Wells Fargo in Iowa. It’s really sad the amount of racism the lady from the front desk was showing us. I don’t get her name but she had circle glasses was white and old. I was ready to pay but because of that lady you lost many customers. You need to check on your workers because I may not be the only one that this has happened to. This truly hurt my heart. It’s sad that hotels like this accept dogs into the rooms but not Hispanics.

Right off I-80, this was a great find. We got off the interstate due to snow. This place has good reviews. It wasn't fancy but it had everything we could want. The clerk was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, had a mini fridge and microwave. There was a small bar in the hotel which served beer and wine and some snacks. They also served breakfast in the same room in the mornings.

$85 service charge for booking with the website the hotel directly uses. Not worth it in the least bit. We had a two room suite, it wasn’t clean, the TV didn’t work properly, the bed was mediocre, the fitness center is a joke, there’s no pool, the breakfast was lackluster (I mean who doesn’t have coffee or water?!). The staff was courteous (even made jokes about the poor nature of the hotel), we asked to have our TV fixed because we couldn’t turn it on even manually, then they get it to turn on but you can’t change the channel or turn it off without unplugging the thing.Honestly, save yourself the time and the money and if you can afford the extra 5 minute drive stay at the Baymont in Harlan.

I travel a lot for work and stay in many hotels and have never stayed in a Cobblestone. While I can’t speak for the others in the chain I will say this one in Avoca, Iowa was exceptionally nice, accommodating and clean. The rooms were fantastic, the staff were very polite and the breakfast was good!! I will definitely stay here again!!

We had the BEST experience at this hotel. Our big group was treated with top of the line service. Carrie went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. She and one of the housekeepers even brought in a bunch of toys for all of the kids in our group! An extremely clean and comfortable hotel and we would definitely stay here again! 10/10 recommend

Disabled room was better than most rooms for disabled people. The bathroom was definitely a 10, I wish all hotels had the disabled amenities in the bathrooms like this one! Breakfast bar was a 10. The room was exceedingly hot and the only controls let you think you were in control. I slowly reduced the heat until I got to 62 degrees and realized I was having zero effect. It was at least 76 in there, way too hot for me. The front doors were very hard to function. I tried going out with the valet and ended up literally fighting the door to get out. I brought the valet back and had to leave it in the foyer because I couldn't negotiate the FRONT door at all and my key card didn't help. I couldn't get in to check out, obviously, so I slid my cards through the crack in between the doors. The night staff was helpful and friendly.

I will never go back here again. They claim they are handicap accessible but after we booked the room we found out there was no elevator and I can't walk up stairs that good. We asked Cheyenne if there was an open room on the first floor. She continued to complain to us about her work schedule. My friend and I just drove 10 to get to a hotel and would like to not hear someone complain they are tired. There was a room with a king bed. My friend said she would pay the extra fee. Then the girl said she couldn't switch it because she couldn't give us a refund. We we not looking for a refund, we wanted a first floor room. We ended up on the second floor. We spoke with the manager but by then it was too late to change our opinion of this hotel.

Staff was very friendly. Nice big clean room. Stove, microwave and full size fridge. Came stocked with everything you need to make a dinner. Was pricey at 159.00 + taxes and fees. Worth it to sleep in a clean room.Food & drinks: Had a late dinner at the bar in the hotel and the cheeseburger was delicious. The only bad part was they only had Pepsi products 😭
