I never, ever, EVER want to go in this store again! The bathroom was the most disgusting restroom I have been in in my life. There was two bathrooms, one had no paper towels and no soap dispenser but it had a bag filled with soap with feces on it. The other bathroom had toilet paper all over the floor with blood on it. All products in the store were JUNK. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME IN THIS STORE!

Lots of miscommunication & issues every time I come here. One employee tells me one thing then another employee tells me another which lead to wasted time, unnecessary stress, & my belongings being recycled. This is like 4th or 5th time I’ve had an issue here, staff aren’t very helpful, she gave me 2 “free” black bags “only for this time” even though technically they were just returning the bags I turned in. What’s the point in giving two bags if you can only bring one bag at a time per account? They rather have you stop coming there than problem solve the issues they caused. So unorganized.

Stuff, Etc is such a unique consignment store in the way they sell such great furniture, household items and clothing. Having now moved out of state, it's not common to see such a business!! While living in IA, I sold and shopped from here for many years and can positively say this is a wonderful business. Specifically, the manager Shelby at the Ankeny is absolutely phenomenal!!

There's always something to be found at Stuff! I can't think of how many great things I've found here. The best find was a pair of vintage speakers. The cost was well below their worth!

Enjoy talking to a few of the older sales clerks here but the service continues to get worse in other ways. This morning went in just to pick up cash and waited in line and then went to the opposite side. Was told that I could not pick it up on that side so just left because as I told the clerk, I was unable to stand because of a spinal cord injury. Have been cosigning there for a least 4 years and have decided not to do anymore. because of the continued rules. And found many good items they refuse to take anyway. Many of their prices are higher than retail and find this disturbing.

I dropped off a full tote of high end clothes and shoes. I have called 3 times and no one seems to be able to find any of my items. All 3 times I was promised a return call and still nothing. I just moved back here and really needed that money. Very irritated.UPDATE. Received a call from Ariel and she found ALL my items. I cannot thank you enough for your assistance. You are much appreciated.

I don’t think I’ve ever had worst customer service anywhere!! i have yet to come across a friendly, happy employee yet at this location. The hours for donation drop off is not convenient at all for the average working person’s hours. I called on my way there to see if they are still taking donations and they said yes and when I got there and drug in my donations, the girl working In that area told me they stopped taking donations 3 minutes ago 😡 seriousy?! So over this place and the attitudes, I’ll just donate to a good cause instead.

I will never step foot in this store again. We have been selling and buying here for a long time but the management now are horrible. They think that they know what will sell when we are GIVING them stuff to sell but they won’t take it. They are rude and not not very respectful. Been there twice now in the last week and the so called manager denied our stuff. Sorry but will not step foot in the store again.

The prices may be a little higher then other thrift like stores but compared to the recent prices I have seen at Goodwill they definitely compare now. I can always find something here and the staff are always nice. I love that they have dressing rooms because Goodwill and Salvation Army don't so I end up not buying clothes their.

Highly over priced for used items!! For one pair of carters 4t used shorts you’re looking at around $8-$18 that’s a shame for a used clothing store. Never coming here again that’s just greedy!

Ridiculous wait times for a tote. Was told an hour. Hour and a half later was told another 30 minutes or more. Meanwhile you can't leave the store otherwise you lose your spot. This happened twice. I'll never be back the 3rd time. Better off donating to Goodwill or DAV. SAVE YOUR TIME!!! Totally not worth it.

Stuff is a fun place to spend an hour. If you're a thrifter they run flash sales on clearance items regularly. They get items on the floor quickly so there's something new to check out every day.

Its a nice place with something for everyone but its VERY EXPENSIVE! Especially for being used stuff. They have slowly gotten more pricey over the years. I understand how business works but it is still just a thrift store. Always have great service and always have lots of inventory just too expensive for me.

I have been a consignor at this store for several years. Lately, the store has become an unorganized mess with rude employees. I got there at 10:10 am and was already #6 on the wait list for a tote. I don't remember the name of the employee with the wait list, but she thought she had all the power. I did not leave the store and paid close attention to the names being called, but never heard my name. I walked back to the desk and found that my name was crossed off. She tried telling me they called it, but that is a lie. Then she said I would be next like she was doing me a favor. In the past, I have taken the tote to my car and loaded it. I have done it this way multiple times and seen others doing this as well. Today, she tells me the totes can't leave the store. I got my things from the car, came back in and she tossed the tote to me. Wow, seriously? I wished I would have gotten her name. She had a high and mighty attitude. I think I will drive out to the store in Clive from now on.

The last several times we have shopped here we have been very surprised at the empty shelves, high prices, and lower quality merchandise. As a consigner, I have noticed that fewer of my items are accepted and more end up selling after being marked way down (50% or 80%). Today we came in during their advertised time for consigners, brought in a tote to consign, and were told at the desk that they would not accept it because their pricers didn't come to work toninght. So I hauled the whole tote the 45 miles back home and wrote this store off. I will not be back.

I went to this store today! 1-15-21. I have to this store a couple times before. The last to visit were good. But when I went today. The staff was rude! The store is overpriced! They are putting new prices on some of the items that are used condition or poor condition! When I was checking out.I had a bought a doc McStuffins pet cart. There was a toy that CAME with the cart that was on it when I had grab the cart on the shelf in the first place. The lady that was checking me out at the Register” CHRIS (supervisor)” proceeded to say that that toy on top the Doc McStuffins pet cart did not go with it! I was like yes it does, then Chris responded no it doesn’t, And she looked at the toy and said well there is no TAG on it. I can not believe they will sit there and argue with a customer over a toy. If the toy did not go with it ,and was not on the toy I would’ve gladly paid for it. Due to this experience I will not be shopping back at the store! And another thing that was very rude. When a staff member is going to ask my daughter if she was getting a toy and then bringing her by me! I can’t remember her name.

First off, the employees were very nice.Now, the store.It is a huge mess.It's like shopping in a thrift store, but less organized and way more expensive. They don't mark anything down until it's been there for 60 days. The prices might be understandable in a nicer store. But not this one.Start 25% mark-downs at 30 days and clean up the store, it will make a big difference!

I am very sad to write this but I feel necessary to make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else. When the store has a promotion and takes unlimited items on certain days, you do not receive your givebacks. I believe the last one in February was called Wacky Wednesday. They recycled mine, and the worst part is I was there within 24 hours to pick up what was remaining in the tote. I have been a consignee in this location since shortly after they opened. I thought this to be a great concept for a much needed store in the Ankeny area. I have always enjoyed consigning and shopping here.This is very frustrating and I wanted to make sure it doesn't happen to someone else. I would like the ability to decide if I want the items back or for them to be recycled, and I missed the rules. Read the process thoroughly and pay attention to policies on promotional drop offs. I also called and asked where my other items were, I was told that they would check and someone would call me. I waited a couple days and called back, they said there were no notes in my account and informed me of the policy for unlimited drop offs. No call is also frustrating.It is unfortunate that one bad situation and lack of response can tarnish my feelings of a place that I have always been happy with. At this point I am not sure that I will return.

I love this store! There’s new merchandise put out daily, so there’s always something new to see each time you visit! The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The consignment process is so easy, and I love being able to use the money I make to purchase new things!

Thank you so much to Ariel for taking the time to help me get my table delivered personally. Very pleasant to speak toI bought a beautiful table over the weekend and I picked stuff etc because they offer free delivery if u spend more than $100. I’ve been waiting for my table to be delivered for days now. I was told 2 days ago that they would deliver yesterday between 10-12 they never showed so I contacted the delivery man and he replied around 2 saying he can’t make it he’ll have to come this afternoon. It’s now 3pm and I can’t get a response from the delivery man. I just want my table or a refund or at the very least a set time that we can stick with for delivery.Update: 08/11/20The owner/ delivery driver is now telling me I need to rent a truck from menards and get the table myself. Very unprofessional

Ok place to go shopping but just recently went to buy a shirt for my son. Tag is printed as for male medium and bought it, got home and found out shirt was for female. Final sales are not returnable but at least they should give you some sort of credit for their mistake. My son wasn't able to wear it. Not good place to shop there if they continue to making mistakes with their clothing. I don't recommend to spend your money there when they do their mistakes. If it was my mistake I understand not to return an item. Prices aren't cheap either. Staff are great but they need to label things correctly so people don't pay over priced items and not be able to return because of their mistakes.

This particular location does not have the best brands or follow its guideline of dated material (2 years for style). You'll see as far as clothing Target branded clothing fairly high priced from around $9-$10 while another Stuff store will barely except these brands and if they do it is priced $6. As another reviewer stated there is far more items in the back room yet to be put out. The people/staff are always very nice however there is usually a wait at the registers.

I love this store so much and I intend to continue to begrudgingly consign and shop there, but I constantly leave that store frustrated because of how poor their customer service is, particularly at the consignment desk. I frequently walk up to the desk and have to wait 2-3 minutes for the staff at the desk to finish their conversation before I'm even acknowledged. Consigners are treated like a bueden, almost like they're irritated that we're there, when we're the ones providing the inventory to fund their paychecks! I worked retail for 8 years and that would NEVER have been acceptable. A simple smile or an "I'll be right with you" would go a long way towards leaving a better impression with consigners and customers alike. Customers tend to get impatient when they are being ignored.It's a problem on the shopper side too. I was in the middle of checking out last week and one of the other employees walked over, interrupted the cashier while she was speaking with me, and had a long unrelated conversation that could have waited two minutes for me to check out. To the cashier's credit, she looked supremely uncomfortable at how the other employee was forcing her to ignore me in the middle of a transaction.I love the concept of the store - secondhand shopping is environmentally friendly and better for the bank account - but this store would benefit from getting back to customer service basics so their customers (and consigners) don't leave feeling insulted.

I will always love this place. The staff is nice and the place is well organized. I have noticed the pricing has changed and items are not as cheap as they used to be which is sad because as a mom on a budget I can't afford a lot for clothes.

Please if you have name brand clothing dont go here, I took my sons Nike shoes which were maybe worn 3 or 4 times in great condition. Supposedly they only took one pair a discarded the rest or ( donated them). Which when I went there I specifically check marked the box that I did not want my items they did not take donated. They came up with an excuse on why they did anyways. Your better selling your stuff through a garage sale, so you know know one stiffs you for your items.

Nice consignment store. Nice things than an average thrift shop, a bit more pricey though. And some thrift shops have great items too, just not the average places. This consignment shop is huge though. It has much to offer. The layout is well organized. The service is friendly.

Have dumb staff! I asked to have my items held for me, since my items weren't good enough, and I drive an hour to pick it up and get there and was told that my items were donated. And no notes were on the account. Just plain rude! I should be able to trust them when I called and asked to hold a extra day. If that wasn't an option I should have been informed. Very upsetting, because I had nice/name brand clothing that I could have still used!

this place is amazing! If you can't find what you need on one visit, come back and it might just be there then. The staff is very helpful and are happy to help. I really enjoy going here and I generally don't like to shop.
