The Ankeny Staples printing department is second to none. I needed some printing done for my sister in law's funeral the next day. Because of high demand for printing, I was not able to have my project completed the same day. When I explained my situation to Heather, she was able to print everything within an hour! I was extremely happy with her service. Heather is a rock star and Lily was there assisting. Thank you for awesome customer service! You went above and beyond!

This is my second time coming back to Staples to print things and also get them laminated. Because the impression was so profound, I have to say that John might be the most responsible and capable person I've encountered, managing to handle things perfectly. At the same time, it's also a testament to how well the store is run, thanks to having such an excellent manager to keep the entire team's workflow organized. From professionalism, responsibility, communication skills, to even satisfying customers, everything is impeccable. Today, while I was waiting in line, I overheard a conversation: a woman, quite arrogantly, stated her demands while disdainfully saying, "How easy and simple it must be to do this kind of work." Hearing such rubbish, I could only laugh. Where do you get the courage to think that the hard work of these people is easy and simple? Without understanding the expertise involved, you speak recklessly. Truly, ignorance is fearless. At the same time, I also deeply sympathize with the staff here (how many such people must they deal with every day?). To anyone reading my comment here, my hope is this: that we all can offer each other respect and understanding, rather than the toxic mentality of "I'm the customer, so I am god."

Ankeny Staples store is great. It's their staff that really makes an overall difference. They know where everything is inside the store, offer to escort you to that particular area, have great knowledge of the products, etc. thanks!

Went in for ink cartridge in Ankeny Iowa store... Stopped to look at laptops and an absolutely wonderful associate named Samantha came to assist us !! She deserves Kudos for being AWESOME!!!

Heather and Pat are amazing and hire great employees working on the floor! Organization seems an overwhelming task, and this Staples location has most everything I need, right when I need it! Combine that with “Amazon Price Match” and now “Amazon Return” drop location, easy access in and out, Copy & Print services, UPS/FEDEX pickup, and friendly staff- it goes “Above & Beyond” this retired sales reps expectations!

Well stocked with good variety of supplies and prices. Went in for a new office chair; they had a large variety of choices, on sale, and at numerous price points. Needed some office paper and again, they had lots of choices at different price points. It's difficult to find a brick and mortar office supply store that is well stocked with lots of choices in each category.

I'd recommend not advertising in printing jobs if your employees aren't confident they can do the job correctly, seem inconvenienced by the job, or have no options on the process of the printing job. I would also recommend customer service training.

If this would allow me to rate less than 1 star I would. I walked into the store at 8:30 p.m. tonight needing to print two documents to meet a tax deadline. They had to be emailed to the store. I advised the manager that was on duty this evening what I needed to do. I was then informed that she would not be able to do it tonight as she had an order she had to complete by morning. I'm a customer walking in the building with plenty of time to complete my request and I was turned away. Her lack of appropriate planning is pathetic. I will never shop at that store again and I will tell this story to everyone I speak to. Horrible customer service. The better business bureau will hear about this.

The people at the register were nice. But the lady associate, "Jordan" at the print desk was the rudest employee I've encountered. Look, I understand you have a lot of orders. You can't take 2 seconds to help me print a dang calendar? She also sold me paper to use the printer myself. Probably full well knowing there was already paper in it. She seemingly upset, rings up my paper (that i unknowingly didn't need). Doesn't say anything else. No Staples Rewards schtick, no reply as I said "Thanks". You can only do 28pt prints max? Please. I've had more polite people at a McDonald's Drive Through during rush hour.It only takes one time to ruin your experience, and being a graphic design student now, I'll be doing a lot of printing. But not here.Thanks Jordan.UPDATE: The manager was exceptionally helpful at helping me get the calendars printed the right way. Totally changed my opinion. :)

Ordered our holiday photo cards for printing here. Got a great deal on Groupon. Production & pickup was fast. Quality was great and they even had holiday postage stamps so I avoided a trip to the post office. Great service and staff was very friendly.

Love this place! Great store to find unique office supplies, pens and notebooks if you're an addict like me! I've been going to Staples for pens and notebooks for 20 years now. They also have a great clearance section, if you know where to look! Usually in the back of the store. Behind the actual office supplies, not the furniture side.

I have been very disappointed in the professionalism and customer service here. Every time I've been in staff has complained (about their day, other staff, or in helping me). Staff has been incredibly rude and short with not only me but other customers (when I've observed interaction). They are not educated in services, products or how to handle customers. When I've had items printed, staff working that area have not known how to operate the machines or how to layout/prepare documents, pdf's and so forth. Very disappointed in all of my experiences here.

The gal at the service center was very helpful. We had to copy things email things and fax thing that were very important in a timely manner. Super impressed with her level of customer service. Will be going back if I need anything else like this.

Then go on there for 4 years. I run a disabled veteran organization called logs for Heroes. Go there that blow up pictures for veterans the chainsaw car and wood carving. Never had any issues going on to get something blowing up. Sep for today today some lady with short hair and a blue shirt that was working behind the customer service was the most rudest person I've ever came across in that store. I walked in told her I needed something blowing up. She's stated all you can do it yourself over at the scanner. Told her I had no clue how to work the machine. She said the scan it and blow it up you can do it and walked away with a plate of food. She was more worried about feeding her face than actually help someone that actually helps veterans with PTSD. If she continues the work there my services will no longer be going there

Honestly, don't waste your time going here. Find somewhere else. They messed up my order on their end and somehow I got blamed for their bad staff not knowing their job. CJ in the printing section was rude to me multiple times and when I called to talk to a manager, Assistant Manager Eric made excuses for his awful employees and never once made up for their mistake. I regret even spending a penny here.

Staples lost my business a long time ago due to employee rudeness and disrespect. After 7 years, I decided to give them another chance. After this experience, I will not be shopping Staples again. The employee at the print counter refused to print out invitations that I purchased from Etsy for my son's birthday party. She claimed I needed a copyright release. Never have I ever been required to provide a copyright release in all the years I have purchased invitations on Etsy. The employee was simply lazy and uneducated.

Hit and miss. Do not try to call the store - they simply do not answer. I have called on multiple occasions. Staff do seem routinely disengaged but on the occasion I can get in the store, find exactly what I need and get through the checkout with a competent person, I consider it to be a success.

Not only is it next to impossible to find someone to help you, once you do find someone I can’t say the customer service is really service. To top it off, they sell product that in order for it to be functional, you have to order the parts and pieces online.

Long wait, but however happen to be next to office max and needing business cards, office max $50 for 500, Staples $25 for 1000, same card in color, next day service, worth the drive and wait.
