Tried calling local Ankeny IA store and phone just continues to ring for 20 some times... then someone picks up and and hangs up.... Wonder if COSCO will pick up. New employee work ethic sucks.

My family was driving back to Minnesota from Kansas City, MO. It was a Saturday evening that we found ourselves at this Sam's club in Ankeny. We were half way home but needed to find a dessert for an Easter Sunday gathering and grab dinner. Though the dessert selection was completely gone near the bakery, we were fortunate to find cheesecake in the frozen aisle and some sweet deals on vitamins. It was getting close to closing time as the cafe shuts its lights, so my wife went and washed up our children. The next morning, she remembered leaving her purse/phone 3.5 hours back in the women's restroom. We were fortunate to find out Monday morning that it was found safe. Sierra, Heather and Brittany were the best for aiding in getting the purse/phone back to us through the mail. They certainly didn't have to do that but it was super kind and above their protocols. Thank you Sam's Club staff!

Yea tried applying here for a job and they made me wait 1 hour and then I had to go back up to ask where the manager was, they “forgot” and then when the interview came she immediately asked me why I should get a “second chance”. Am I applying to stock items or fight in a war. THE most unprofessional environment

Give a three because for truck drivers it's cramped back here it says at 5:00 a.m. delivery but the store doesn't even open till 10:00 so who knows

Great addition to Ankeny. Very convenient location. Store is always clean and well stocked. The staff is helpful and willing to assist you when needed. They do a good job staying ahead of the curve on stocking seasonal items slightly ahead of schedule so you can stock up early.

Had issues with a gas payment, went inside to ask about it & the guy at the customer service desk looked at me like I was an idiot! Didn’t great me, smile, nothing. Just seemed like he was in a genuinely bad mood. Almost thinking of canceling my membership so I don’t have to deal with these rude employees anymore.

I enjoy shopping at Sam's club. It was great to take my wife there to shop, it's been to long due to all the covid-19 and all the havoc from something blown out of proportion. I think this place is doing a great job on health and safety isues for the people that shop there.

We stopped for a frozen yogurt and a pretzel, the yogurt was not a full cup only about 2/3rds. The store itself is not bad, some employees act like that are forced to work. We would always stop for a drink before leaving. There was not one seat that you could sit at and there was several no one would use. They were so filthy I'd rather eat off the floor.

Great member service!! I called the store yesterday and spoke to Lisa about an issue I had during my visit just a few days earlier. She said to come in the next day and she would take care of it. I showed up today, right as the store opened, and was headed back home just ten minutes later. Situation resolved, and she was amazing to deal with! Thank you so much to Lisa for all of her help!

This is a negative positive review. Went to sams yesterday to pick up a book that was supposed to be released. I checked online and it came up in the search results and said it was in stock. I spent 30 minutes looking for the book myself and then another 30 trying to find an associate for help. Finally got someone who was in charge of scan and go to help. She called 3 times and no one answered on the two way. She grabbed an associate on break. We went back to the books and the associate then said sometimes we send books back. That’s probably what happened. I then told her that the book was scheduled for release that day and she said the book publisher did not bring in shipments that day. I then spoke to Noah about my experiences by phone and he said the book publisher is a 3rd party issue but said if I came in he or another lead would give me a gift card. Went today and explained it to another lead even though there was no note of my call or note from the other lead Heather decided to give me a $20 gift card for the inconveniences. Thank you

This Sam's Club is much cleaner than the Sam's Club in West Des Moines. The layout was different but logical. I had no difficulty finding the items I needed.

Aug 2021 I don't use there sams app to check out that is way too slow and have to try to get the phone camera to focus on the bar code. Self check out for me takes less then half time with the hand scanner then the app.If you don't go here at least 2 times a month, you might no find the items on your list since they like to move sections of the warehouse around alot.Hrs are back to normal for now2020 No plus or business plus hours tell further notice.

Curbside pickup service has deteriorated a lot. I live out of town and schedule pick ups for multiple stores so can't always wait for them to contact me that my order is ready. Waiting an hour and a half for a pick up that was placed 4 hours ago. If they don't have the staff then they shouldn't be accepting orders. If they don't improve things they are going to loose customers with Costco opening up in town.

Was there 2 days ago in morning, one cashier, guy in front of my dad and I tried checking out using sams club card on phone, cashier wouldn't do it, asked if could use my card, ok cashier checked him out, I get up there cashier scans my card again, I can't check out? Really? First time ever being there in morning and he let's other guy check out but not me. Well I WILL NOT be renewing my card, I'm done there. Costco Ankeny here I come

The store is kind of in the middle of no where. Lots of commercial areas around. No trees, kind of barren environment. But the store is great, clean and you find what you need.

Many items missing a price tag, messy and unorganized, products don't seem of quality, and staff was unfriendly. I only paid $15 for my Sam's membership, but the $60 I spent for my costco membership is definitely a better value. Sadly I won't be renewing.
