this location used to be good but customer service is slipping lately. i had to stand in line at the register for ten minutes waiting to ask for live crickets, another ten minutes for the checker to call another associate to get them for me and, when she finally did, now there's a line of ten people waiting for service and the checker didnt even bother calling for another register, she just let us all stand there. eventually i gave up and just left without what i needed. i dont have all day 🙄

Large variety, clean store, clean aquariums. The staff at the Southside location (SE 14th St) is definitely the most attentive of the chain. If you have questions about a food or how to care for an animal PetSmart is definitely a good place to go.

Super rude cashier today in store. Can look at coworker and talk about the customer in front of the customer but too cowardly to speak up and say something to them. Guess we will order off of chewy from here on out, they have better deals anyways.

They have messed up my dog’s hair and hygiene several times, and now this time around they entered his records incorrectly. Wasting over an hour of my time and gas money without the service requested. I will never come to petsmart for dog care ever again.

Would have had 5 stars if it wasn't the sales person on the floor had an attitude in getting me a price it's a simple task not hard to do the cashier we had was really great he made it much better the store was not cluttered which is a surprise I've been in a few it had no room to move in it thank you Mr cashier for the great service!!!!

I was getting water filters for my cats fountain. Walmart, Target didn't have the one I needed. Then, at the local store of the other primary pet chain, an associate took meet to the cat area, selected the filter, and it did not fit the ddevice. After going to PetSmart, I went in, and was greeted immediately. I told the woman at the door the item I was looking for, and she took me right to them. I was able to find the correct filter right away. Within minutes, I was out the door and on my way home to get her water pump cleaned up and ready to go again.

The store was clean, the prices were all marked (at least on the items I looked at), associates we're all friendly. I made a purchase in in the store as well as picked up an online order.

I went in to get a fish today. I waited for 20 mins before they told me they wouldn’t let me get the fish I wanted even though they had it so I asked about a different fish that they had and the employee told me nope you can’t have that fish ether and left to go help someone else. I was like I am not done yet. And she’s like oh well I thought you were. I said no I wasn’t I was going to ask for some snails but no you go help them and I will wait because I have nothing else’s to do today so let’s just waste more of my time even though I was here first and they just got here. The employe said ok sounds good and left me pissed off and refused to speak to me after that. This is the worst store I have ever been to and I will never shop at pet smart ever agin. And I would say you should never shop here ether because they are the worst

The girls that helped us last night were absolutely amazing and had an incredible knowledge on the fish they were selling..... Any question that we had they had no problem answering and gave us helpful suggestions that truly make a difference!! I will never go to Petco again!!! Keep up the amazing work and thanks for truly caring!!!! Not only for your pets and product but for the customers!!!! It truly means more to me than you know.....

The staff did a great job with helping us find a tank mate for our Betta! We added a Jade Snail to the family and this little guy is perfect! He actually sits up to eat, our Betta swims around him, sits next to him and they eat together. They keep my son and me very entertained!

This is my preferred location of petsmart. The employees have been really friendly here and I really appreciate the switch to appropriate habitat enclosures for the rodents. Such as guinea pigs needing 7 square feet of space and now I've been seeing more enclosures that are actually 7 feet instead of the measly 2 foot enclosures that used to be sold. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is the animals themselves. I've tried getting betta fish from here and most died from genetic conditions which makes me question their breeder. And I got a guinea pig from here that infected my entire household with a zoonotic bacteria (streptococcus pneumoniae) which cost me hundreds of dollars in medical and vet bills. As my SO got pneumonia, and my guinea pigs all got eye infections even after a quarantine. And because the vet didn't know exactly what bacteria at the time, antibiotics didn't clear it all up originally, making 2 of my guinea pigs get abscesses, and another get a life threatening middle ear infection creating more vet trips, which are all things caused by this strain of streptococcus. Again making me question their breeder.

Grooming has told me multiple times that nail trimming is a "walk in" appointment and I don't need to call. Walked in twice now only to be told no walk in appointments today. The 2nd time the girls were sitting at the desk when I got there, and they hadn't moved an inch in the 10 minutes it took me to shop. They easily could have trimmed my dogs nails in that time. I put my purchases back on the shelf and won't be back.

I was buying stuff for my frog and a lady with tattoos helped me look at plants. I don’t remember her name but she was super super helpful and friendly. Definitely will keep coming for frog food.

This is a good pet smart the staff was vary helpful full here and it was a nice building..I went here for a fish a while back and found out that to buy an animal you have to be over 18 so if your looking to buy an animal and your under age make sure you bring some one older with you.. any way I’d give this store a solid 8/10..!!!!!👍👍✌️✌️

Made an appointment days in advance for the latest appointment (6pm) to get my dog groomed. The day of the appointment they called and asked if I could bring my dog in early, I said with where I work and have to pick up my dog I could bring him in about an hour earlier. They said okay we will have to cancel the appointment because the groomer doesn’t want to stay that late. What is the point of have later appointment if your just going to cancel them.

We visit a lot of PetSmarts in the country because we travel full time. This is the best experience we have had with dropping our dog off for a Grooming. We took advantage of their express service for an additional $15 and we were able to pick him up in an hour. The groomers, Mckenzie and Savannah were amazing. The cut was great and they were very attentive to what we wanted for him.

My dog and I visited this location. I was looking for a specific item. A male associate took me right to it. So far so good. However, the entire experience was ruined by the"mature" female associate atcheckout. She was the rudest person I have encountered in retail in a long time. This establishment will not be getting my pet purchase dollars again any time soon.
