I absolutely love this store. It is always clean and organized. The staff is incredible especially the store manager Jenn. She is always very helpful and professional. She is extremely proficient at keeping the store running very smoothly. This is the only store I will go to for party supplies. Party City in Ankeny.

Excellent Customer Service! I ordered a balloon bouquet to be delivered for my daughter’s birthday and due to a mix up, received the wrong balloons. The store understood and quickly resolved the issue by having the correct bouquet delivered. Mistakes happen, but they were professional and handled it well. Thank you!!!

This place had everything you could imagine for decorations, plus some.The only bad part was when it came to bowls and plates, a lot of the selections were out of stock on certain colors and sizes.Staff here is super helful and friendly.

While this is a good place to go for party supplies, they are often out of things. When they are well stocked, you can find most things here for a birthday party, graduation, or other event, presuming you're not looking at getting too fancy.The biggest issue we ran into here is that they carry no invitations at all. This seems like a fairly significant oversight for a party store.

I would rate this place with no stars if I could. I stood in line, waiting my turn in line. Once I got to the counter, they told me they couldn’t inflate my balloons. I only had maybe 4 to 5 balloons. It took us longer arguing than what it would have took him to just inflate them. Mind me there was five ladies working behind the counter.

Unfortunately, the balloons were not inflated all the way and they were not tied to the strings very strongly. One of the balloons we ordered flew away not long after leaving the store.

I love to host gatherings from big to small and Party City typically has what I’m looking for. The store in Ankeny is kept clean and I don’t feel crowded. They’ve been low on stock recently and pricing has been a little higher than the past but overall a good place to get the party stuff.

Stopped in to have one balloon blown up… one. Went in at 8am, minute the front door opened. Not one single customer there with two employees. I was told they couldn’t blow up one balloon until as early as 3:30pm due to so many orders. One balloon. I couldn’t not post. I had to spend at least a hundred dollars on other party supplies with that one balloon; however, that customer service just lost my business today and the multiple parties I have a year moving forward. Not to mention, the girl saying it was not friendly about it either.

This place is awesome they have everything you could ever need for a party, we shopped for Halloween the choices were awesome. I always wondered were people found all the little details of costumes, gloves, fishnet stockings, wigs choices were amazing.

Had what I was looking for but when I asked for 2 balloon bouquets the girl told me I would have to wait an hour because they had online orders to fulfill? It literally would have taken them 5 to 10 minutes to assist me. Probably won't go back to this location again due to lack of good customer service.

Nice variety of goods but the customer service was terrible. Sales staff acted like they wanted to be anywhere else. No smiles or appreciation of customers shopping at their store.

Showed up 15 minutes before close and doors were locked. Employee inside saw me but still would not unlock door. Called the phone, no answer (after listening first to message with store hours which indicated store should be open). Sign on door showing store hours indicated store should have still been open. It’s sad to think how much money we have spent at that store over the years. No more, I will buy party supplies on Amazon I guess.

I spent about 2 to 3 hours looking at all the creative ideas Party City has to offer. They have color coding team supplies, party colors and decorations to match the theme. They have birthday, wedding, baby shower decorations and gifts/prizes to purchase as well. The possibilities in creative party planning are endless. They have costumes for any age and balloons.-some are half my adult size.-My personal favorites, is the helpful staff, clean atmosphere and the little toys that help me create, creative gifts!

Party City is a nice store that does a decent job at providing all of your supplies for whatever party you may be throwing.For us it's just kind of fun to also stop in here and check out their selections of costumes and colorful little items like balloons and other knick-knacks.Only downside is that they are a little too expensive on some of the stuff they offer, but it'd be great for last minute party supplies.

The manager and a couple of staff members are extremely rude. I visited this location three times within one month. Today, a staff member told me, she was too busy to assist me. Me and two other customers I seem at the Ankeny location drove to the West Des Moines location.

Got up to the register where 3 workers were behind the counter all seeming to be working on balloons. One worker asked another to do my transaction to which her response was "No I dont want to" loud and clear for everyone standing in line to hear. Another worker took initiative and helped with my purchase so I guess that was fine but then the same worker who refused to do her job is talking about how later she was going to just sit on the floor on her phone making fun of another worker. Why is this kind of conversation even happening in front of customers. Was very let down as I have shopped at this location multiple times before today..

Went in to get a costume for my daughter and the Halloween section looked like a tornado had been through. They did have a picture on the wall of what looked like a great costume but couldn't find any on display or any associates to ask for help. So I went to the registers to ask for help. It seemed every employee in the store was filling balloons and when one broke free from her task to assist customers she bypassed me and helped the next customer behind me. I spoke up but was ignored by bother the employee and customer. Guess a dad can't buy a costume for his daughter at this store. Wasn't going to wait after the rude treatment.

Disappointed that I wasn’t notified of the Halloween policy at the time I purchased a Halloween costume online. I went to return it to the store and was told it was an exchange only item even though I was never informed at the time of purchase or even on my receipt. Certainly won’t be buying anymore Halloween items from here in the future!

Went to check out their Halloween decor, decent selection and friendly staff. Most prices about $5 lower than Spirit Halloween, I got 21' of wood fencing (for halloween) for $60 plus 20% off individual stuff so a total of $54

Didn't know if you order online and say you want balloons inflated, you have to pay extra money at store. Didn't save money, like the website made me believe. From now on, I'll just go in store to get items and not waste my time with website. I thought my bouquet of balloons would be ready, when I got there. No, it took at least 20 minutes to finish purchase. I was very disappointed.

Horrible service and cashier didn’t even try to help and was slow also didn’t ask if I needed a weight or anything. Plus the balloon I got was 9.99 but my totaled was 19.07 she then told me inflation cost that’s why my total was that high bs I never paid $10 to inflate a balloon at party city this is the one in Ankeny
