First off, the food was great and consistent as always. Never disappointed by the quality and taste. The staff didn’t smile much if any, just doing their job and that’s okay. But running a little slow. Probably the fries and onion rings, so be it.They need to start advertising more online and in social media, as it’s an elderly crowd of customers each time. Make it a hip place to go for the younger crowd who don’t know they still exist.

We had never heard of this food establishment before and decided to go through the drive thru since the kids wanted hot dogs. We were not aware that the loose meat is what they are known for, so we will try again and update the review! But we got the corn dog with onion rings, and two kids baskets with hot dogs. For the price of the single corn dog I was expecting a larger corn dog. I was not very impressed - just seemed like a corn dog I could get from the freezer section of the grocery store. The onion rings were good but a little heavy on the grease. The kids seemed to like the hot dogs fine but none of us cared for the fries. They weren’t very crispy and could have used a bit more salt. Once again, we didn’t know that the loose burgers were what they are known for so I will try again and update my review. The staff however was very nice and it did not take very long to get our food.

Maid Rite is known for their Maid rites aka loose meat sandwiches. When coming here with friends who raved over the quality and portions of food, I noticed that they were definitely RITE!Ordered the Maid Rite Salad and a maid rite, I swear they gave me a pound of meat in my salad. The chicken sandwich my friend had was also the juiciest tender sandwich both of us have had and i swear, he’s a chicken sandwich connoisseur. Large large portion and great for the money. Super fast service, super clean inside, nice friendly staff who were patient and knowledgeable to answer all my questions about menu items.If you need a quick and cheap bite, they do it RITE. Not greasy like most fast food places and the food tastes fresh. Only recommendations is maybe more seasoning on the meat, but it’s loose meat and we don’t want a sodium overload so it’s hard to mix in between.

Solid location with well-trained polite staff who really enjoy the product themselves. I got a super made right or whatever. They call it in a side of onion rings and share that with a buddy of mine who had never ever heard of Maid Rite but went with me to try it out and he loved it! I liked it so much I'm going to go back and buy me one of those t-shirts!

maid - rite more like Finessed - RiteMy problems is not with the food quality, its just as good/no better than any similar type of place around here.my problem is the price for what you get. $5 for mini ground meat sandwich (A half cup of meat Probably less, in a bun smaller than a your palm) is insane. compared to places around here you're getting the same for more money or less for the same price.if the quality is no better but I'm paying more... for those reasons i have no reason to ever eat here againfor comparison.. b bops makes a sloppy joe that is the exact same size for $1.

I wish I could give 6 stars. I didn't catch the name of the man that helped us, but the service was spectacular. Very helpful and seemed to actually want to help us, he was very friendly and even smiled! It was my daughter and I that stopped in to order some carry out maid rites. He was extremely helpful. We walked out without part of our order, and he chased us out to the parking lot with our drinks! He may have restored my faith in humanity! Thank you sir! And thank you Maid Rite for hiring quality people! The world is missing that right now.

I was quite disappointed when I passed through your establishment with my 32 ft trailer. I was excited to try a Maid-Rite sandwich, but unfortunately, I was unable to go through the drive-through, and the lobby was not open.

They call it Maid-Rite for a reason... terrific food served by a great team. I live in Dallas where we don't have any maid rites that I wish we did. Have you eaten here four times this week alone... Try the carb bowl or keto bowl...super low carb bowl... Whatever it is terrific and about as close as you can get to zero carbs with a fantastic taste. a real must see place. Give em a shot and you'll dig it...I sure do!

We love Maid Rites and can't get them at home. While this was definitely a special treat the service was slow and the prices a bit too much for a "loose meat" sandwich. Definitely worth a try if you haven't had one or haven't had one in a long time.

The rudest most RACIST fast food place in Ankeny! First they get our order wrong and when we called to get it corrected they called us liars and specifically referenced our race. Had to call corporate office to reach someone with sense and accountability. I would NEVER recommend this restaurant to any POC. I can just imagine what they do to your food based off their HORRIBLE service!

Service was great! The gentleman who took our order was delightful! He was also concerned we ordered too much food, we impressed him by eating it all:) Clean place. Tasty onion rings, burgers, and creamy coleslaw. Our first loose meat sandwich, we liked it. Jalapeno was the best at our table in my opinion. We would pass on the fries next time. Was great to try a local classic while passing through. Thanks!

Can be very greasy unless you ask for the Maid Rite to be “dry”. Fries are always hot & fresh. Be careful getting soda at the drive up though. Twice I’ve had the lids pop off as they were handing it to me and my car interior and I got soaked. They just don’t fit the cups well and the servers are having to get orders out & don’t check.

I ordered delivery by DD. My order included Mega-rite with onion rings. I paid $1.50 extra to get them. I only received "5" onion rings for that price.☹️. The better deal would be to select the fries and buy the onion rings separately. Hopefully you will get more than 5 on a full order. The rings were good in flavor, just not enough for the extra cost as a add-on. Mega-rite was very good. In the future, I will ask for the bun on the side. Because the bun was soaked in grease and the paper wrapper was too. It fell apart. No ketchup packet for rite or rings.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon had to ring the bell to get the kid behind the counter off his cellphone three feet away to even take our order. Food was room temp and the flavor lacking, the dining room needed cleaning. After eating there and the attitude the staff had we will not be back. This location is NOT handicap accessible or friendly.

Caught this place just driving through and we're glad we did. The nice lady at the register gave us some great suggestions since it was our first time getting to try a maid-rite. Ended up going with the maid right with cheese with all of the traditional toppings on how they were made and some onion rings. She brought us some of the dipping sauce for the onion rings which was fantastic. The maid rite hit the spot and was excellent. Onion rings were crispy and flavorful. Service was fast and very friendly. Dining room was clean and all of the food was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone stopping through Iowa.
