I lived in a smaller community and it was like a 20 minute visit every time you needed to go to the pharmacy at that store. It was crazy and if they had any issue with a prescriptions it took days to resolve… so I am very happy that they quickly resolved any issues and got me my prescription. Also, this store has a lot of great things about it. Always enjoy coming here but the pharmacy team is spot on.

As a Houstonian, it pains me to say that Hy-Vee not only rivals, but may even surpass HEB. It’s incredible. From the selection, particularly of high quality store-brand products, to the variety of shops within it (there’s a DSW and a Starbucks in this one), it’s pretty unbelievable. The prices are excellent. I was also impressed with their monthly magazine, available for free in the store. Great recipe ideas! They also have a great cart sanitizer that they actually use (compared to other groceries I’ve seen advertise but not actually use). Highly recommend!

We are at hyvee weekly love the Pharmacy. Went for Breakfast later prob 1030 it was awful potatoes not cooked well bacon wad old hard and greasy. Toast was really not toasted and cold what a disappointment the cook just didn't care I guess hope you can get it fixed thanks Mike Kirk

Me and my fiance normally use one cart and both have 12 or less items we go to the self check out cause. The cashiers are slow and I'm not waiting in line. Which brings up another issue waiting in line takes up the walk way so now am not only waiting longer at the other checkouts but I'm now having to dodge other people that are shopping. Back to the main reason I am here. So we have 12 items or less each of us but used the same cart. The lady was extremely rude about us having to have two separate carts to come through the self check out. It took more time for my fiance to move all his stuff to a separate check out then to let us just use the same. Honestly the most rude workers they have are the older works.

Excellent selection, clean, and well stocked in all departments. The main downside that I see is that prices for name-brand and even store-brand products are constantly higher than our other local supermarkets or grocery stores.

Fuel savers are always the days to shop here. Get all things done in one go! Plus the pick up and delivery is pretty cool! :)Seems like they're re shaping the store. But overall things at Hy-Vee have started to feel a bit too pricey compared to Aldi etc. Still a good place but just not my first choice anymore.

I want to give a HUGE KUDDOS to Quill, Austin and Andrew at the North Ankeny H-V!!! My debit card slip in a crack in the self checkout scanner. They all went BEYOND their duties to retrieve it for me. I was leaving for the Dominican Republic the next day at 5:00AM, so they understood how desperate I was. Their ingenuity and tenacity to resolve my dilemma was AMAZING! To often service like this goes unnoticed. Please let them know - they WERE NOTICED AND APPRECIATED! This occurred 2/5/24 at approximately 5:45 pm!

This location has some work to do. Parking is a nightmare, like at all Hy-Vees. This location suffers from limited product offerings and being out of products frequently. It's also ALWAYS busy. Pharmacy is also incredibly busy. Expect a 10-20 minute wait nearly anytime you go in the store. Hy-Vee South (South Ankeny) is superior.

I give this store 10 moldy, dead flowers, cause that is what they sold us.My husband always buys flowers for our late daughter on Thanksgiving. They looked alright to him, all wrapped in cellophane. I opened them and was so saddened to see most of the flowers dead and moldy, including the sad little tea roses. This store seems so busy and profitable. Am I safe to assume this is just a greed thing?

More Hyvee personal shoppers than customers in some areas. Can’t get down the isles because they are everywhere. Guy almost ran a lady over wasn’t even looking and she was actively trying to move. Can’t get to any end caps cause these carts are everywhere and the front check out is a cluster because the guy working it is flustered and not directly traffic to help so nobody can get through the front of the isles in some spots.

Do not order the whole hog promotion. It's all pre packaged Hormel garbage that you could pick up from the self serve counter. The ground pork was in plastic rolls. I had to wait three weeks for this? The pork steaks were scraps. They should call this a self serve bundle.

Signs posted that walk ins welcome for vaccines. Attempted to get a flu vaccine & was told no, to come back another time. False advertising. If walk in’s are not welcome signs should not show otherwise. Contradicting.

Truly a smile In every aisle. Had to make a quick run in to get some things. Cashier was fast and nice...had a great tasting tenderloin from deli. Great service

I was able to pick up my lunch (3 meals in this one container). Bought stamps and filled a prescription and out the door. The place wasn't overly busy but the flow was consistent. Staff are all FRIENDLY! One of the gals went to hunt down a bag of Sterging's because there wasn't any on the shelves. Then she found me in the store to let me know she found some! I felt important! Thank you Hy-VEE. You're my one-stop-shop!

Have most of what I go for but if it's a sale item don't count on it being available . Many times they are out of the item or it's just not restocked in a timely fashion. If returning bottles or cans for recycling the machines are all usually in working order and there is usually someone working in the area to empty full bins or help with stalls or any problems that co.e up. And that person will write you a slip for the little shooter return bottles or any cans or bottles the machine just won't accept. The worker is usually pleasant also but there is one heavier set man that is just a miserable person and isn't happy to be at that job and he isn't very good at keeping it to himself

We're moving to Ankeny and we wanted to know how to use the Hy Vee app to take advantage of sales, coupons, fuel savings, etc. The young man at customer service was not helpful at all. He was polite and friendly, but it was clear that he didn't know how to help us. We ended up leaving the store without any clue of how to utilize the above mentioned things. I'm not sure if I'll go back. I might try a different Hy Vee to see if it's any better.
