Fareway is a decent grocery store. Clean with nice produce. Wish they had grass-fed or organic meat. Love the new self checkouts & having a parcel helper bring out the groceries is lovely. Prices are the same or a bit less than Hy-Vee on some items.

Just left N.Ankeny FW. Our cashier(#156) had no people skills. Talked to his bagger thru entire transaction until he asked, "Want a reciept?" He never acknowledged me or my husband.

This store is quintessentially Iowan, in every good sense. No bragging. No fanfare. Simply the best, especially the best meat department, anywhere. And truly nice folks. What used to be called "Iowa nice." I love this place.

I love Fareway Grocery Store! They actually had really great prices on items that I wanted to buy! Their peaches were on sale and they were absolutely delicious! I wish that I would have bought more of them. Their meats are #1 in Iowa and to me, they're #1 compared to other States also.

Very nice grocery store. Really like the meat counter. I like how you can see the roast or the ribs you want to purchase from all sides. The grind there own blend of ground beef..Store is clean and employees are helpful and friendly.

I love Fareway. It has been quite awhile since I have shopped there. I shopped there today.I love the small town feel of the store yet having everything their competition does. I have forgotten how they carry out the groceries for you. The customer service is very friendly, warm and professional. It is better than some of their competitors.I definitely will be coming back more often. 🙃

Meat department 5 stars. You can ask them to adjust things to fix their sales. Cheap Example; boneless pork chops are on sale. They will send the. Through the tenderizer to make them perfect for a crockpot dish. They are so professional at the meat counter.I do love the rest of the store, but I cook exoctic sometimes and have to go somewhere else.Hate their closed on Sunday as some weeks unable to shop on Saturday. Fareway rocks.

Always a friendly service but limited stock that means you might not get all the items you enjoy under one roof. However, their butchery is a great option for any meats you may need. Seafood options limited and mostly from frozen. Overall, pretty good.

Love Fareway store, small space but have everything I need. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Wish they could keep Fairlife milk in stock. None on the shelf everytime I have been there in the last two months.

Small store. Clean. Limited selection of items and sizes of products. Good meat counter. Some of the employees are very friendly others are not. One of them consistently decides that I don’t need my groceries taken out even when there are 3-4 heavy bags. Helping customers to their car with groceries is supposed to be one of the perks they offer to Customers and it’s not supposed to be optional. I don’t receive that perk and it is one of the reasons I went there because I am handicapped. I now stop there only when I need a couple items that I can carry out myself. Poor customer service overall. A call to the store manager might help here but it seems like too much effort for the benefit of shopping there.

Having moved here just 2 months ago, I'm not sure how long this store has been around, however it seems fairly new. I'm still learning the setup, but getting there. The one thing that I wish could be changed would be to increase the amount of freezer sections. There is only one isle of frozen foods, which seems to limit the items available as well as limit the brands available as well.

Be careful buying meat there. This is the second time they sell me bad meat. I bought some today after work around 6 pm and when I got home and opened the "Frash meat package" a really bad smell came from the meat and it had a Slimy filling on the steak. Almost made me Throw up and made my house smell really bad 🤮🤢🤢🤢.

Our "go to" grocery store. Best meat department of all stores available. Occasionally limited food choices and unable to find a specific brand. However, prices are best and if not will match their competition. Always friendly and courteous workers.

A geat place to do grocery shopping. Just picked up some basic things tonight. However their meat can't be beat. It's fresh and the guys behind the counter are always helpful in giving their knowledge of cooking or grilling different cuts of meat. You can't go wrong with anything you buy. It's a great place to do shopping.

I’ve always liked Fareway it’s just a overall nice store but what really impressed me with Fareway is that they are closed on Sunday that saying a lot to me because they don’t have that greedy profile like all of the other stores. Sunday should be a day of rest not a day of filling CEO’S pockets.

Fareway prides itself for having a great meat counter. But when you ask the guys to make a rope sausage with their ground breakfast sausage they act like is the end of the world. I had several bad experiences at this store. If you want to have a good meat counter make sure the workers at the store know that.

Small, quiet, low low prices. Looking for everyday grocery shopping? This place still believes in old fashioned service, bag boys will escort you to your vehicle and put your bags in your vehicle for you (not optional, this is a required practice of the employees)
