Worker nearly trumped over me trying to watch me shop killed the holiday shopping vibe for me he almost ran into me once then as the aisles are filled with boxes had to squeeze by me two more times, thought he was a regular shopper due to him wearing a hoodie but my husband caught his green shirt and as we were checking out he made his way into the back room with another employee. Never shopping here again he annoyed me by invading my personal space on more than one account and what for? To lose a customer because that’s all he achieved

I’m not always happy with this particular store. Usually staff issues. Today however a staff member really went out of their way to help, checked for something in the back room when I couldn’t find it and noticed they had new freight they were working on. Found my items and brought them up. Very nice lady. Customer service is really everything. Thank you.

I stopped in here yesterday to get some soft food and drinks after having dental work done. My dentist is in Ankeny and I really only get to go to Ankeny then. Anyways I feel very faint and asked a young woman stocking shelf if they had a public restroom. She was very unfriendly and goes yeah down aisle six. I go okay thanks. 👌 I brought my food and drinks and a magazine that looked fun and went up to pay. A young man was up there and he literally had the worst personality. He didn't say hello did you find what you want anything. Their was a very pretty young girl ahead of me and she was the only one I saw him thank. How shallow. Anyways I got home after spending the night recuperating at my parents and when I went to get my stuff put away I saw that he'd put my food in with my magazine and it leaked all over it. I was really looking forward to looking at that while I recover. It's not a bad store if they had better staff. Oh my mom also said that young man working was unfriendly and rude and she likes everyone so... do better dollar tree.

Today I went in to the store to get a few things and the store appeared very clean and organized. Everything was well presented. I even heard someone behind me say “wow, this is the nicest Dollar Tree I’ve ever been in”. I will admit, sometimes when I go in there, it seems to be kind of a mess because the single staff member working can’t do it all. There’s usually a long check out line. But today it must have been the manager lady that was my cashier. I told her the store looked great today and there were several staff members working hard and they were doing a great job! She thanked me and said she has been working really hard to improve the store. If staffing weren’t an issue, other store would always be in this good of shape. You could really tell she was trying and she was very polite and made my visit very pleasant. I give kudos to the hard working staff in there!

Well stocked store that is typically busy with lines at checkout. They started charging $0.01 for each bag since I was last there. If they are going to charge me, couldn't they at least use better bags and not the thin tissue-like ones they have now!Update: They have discontinued charging for bags.

Good selection of cheap items. Staff is not always friendly and sometimes there are some questionable people here. Had someone called out for stealing twice when we went. Not sure I would bring kids here....

It's rough having less staffing issues, I get that. Being the person who let's you in or not between 4:30 and 5 because you have a hard stop at 5 also must suck. But what about those customers that show up at 4:50? They have the right to enter your store and not rejected life I have seen several times.Staff at this location expect to walk out the door at 5. Why not set your closing time to 4:45? That way your employees can actually work the last half hour of their shift and not worry about people knowing what time you close? They'll also be able to leave at 5 (depending if they are sticking around for counting the drawer).People who work during the hours you are open can't spend their hard earned money at your store. Is this not hurting your margins?

Slow as Molasses to check out. After waiting 10 minutes in line, and 1 person (Cashier and Customer) checking out, Just dropped my items and left. Try another location.

Friendly staff and shelves are stocked. Sometimes the wait in line can take awhile. The parking lot can be very busy in the evening times. Most drivers are polite to let customers walk across but it's still very busy with the side street connected to the parking lot. I enjoy the store with the convenience and friendly staff.

I love dollar tree but I had to stop in quick today at the Ankeny North Blvd location. It was approx 4:45 pm.i was rudely greeted at the door by a blonde with long hair saying we close at 5. I said I know.I just have to get something quick.I saw with my own eyes that same lady standing at the door holding it closed when another woman was trying to come in at 4:50pm. She was shouting from inside the door, we are closed and u cannot come in. This is completely unacceptable. If business hours are now going to be open from 9-5 then u stay open until 5 or you lock the doors or something, but holding a door shut for a potential paying customer and shouting at her? It was the most rude and unprofessional thing I have ever encountered at a store. I will be following up with the store manager. This happened on Sat April 23rd 2022.

Had the worst experience here on Thursday. Very rude female employee was holding the door shut and not letting people enter. I reminded her that it wasn't 5:00pm yet. She responded with she had too many people in the store. I made sure to get there in adequate time before closing. She needs some professional help.

Would be nice of the hours on the sign on the door match the hours they're actually open. I happened to pull up on a chance that they might have what I need at 8:30 at night. Sign said they're open till 9. I park and go to the store and the doors are locked. The lady inside tells me they close at 8. Would be nice if the sign said so. I didn't realize I had to ask Google if a store is open when I pull up.

The lady who's there every night so it seems. She must be a night manager she stocks and cleans and helps everyone. Knows the answer to everything she small skinny lady who is delightful everyday. Always running around working never stops and always polite. She is amazing she makes the place a 10 on a scale of 1-5 and that's no joke. She deserves a paid vacation and I mean a whole week paid off and trip to Bahamas.

It has been messy and boxes in the aisles everytime I'm there. Doesn't look like they've vacuumed or clean the floors ever. One of the dirtiest dollar trees I have seen. Cashiers are slow and not well trained. However they are pretty well stocked so I think that's where they spend their energy.

That one thing I love about this store is everything is a dollar or less and they have a very good selection and some very quality items as well as some kind of credit items for the $1 bill. The checkout lady was very nice but customer service with other store staff was not wonderful if you ask where an item was it was clear that you were bothering them or taking them away from what they were doing and they were not happy about that I would highly recommend that anybody in the area of a Dollar Tree go you can really find some great deals

I bet she is the responsible one that worked so hard on getting the store products ready for the public.You go girl......You rock.

I went to the dollar tree for the connivence it said it was open until 9pm and I went at 7:45pm the doors were both locked but all the lights where on. So I had to drive another 10 minutes out of my way the nearest dollar tree.

Staff sucks.. very judgmental and jumps to conclusions, especially the nasty blonde hair, orange skin old girl. and I dont really see how they can be judgemental when they work at DOLLAR TREE.. get over yourselves.. But whatever. I'd advise just going to dollar general and spend the extra dollar or 2.. plus the store is never clean.

Cheyenne so far is the best cashier I've seen there. This store struggles often w lines n cashiers that dont really care or pay attention to how long line gets b4 calling for assistance but she was on it

Rude manager to customers and very rude to employees, reprimanding them in front of customers which is very embarrassing to employees and extremely unprofessional..to me, the manager has no dignity at all for himself, his employees or that store. Filthy bathrooms, orders employees to do a job with unacceptable tools to do the job, it is messy store, cluttered, and it's NOT THE EMPLOYEES...THEY WORK HARD AND HE DOESN'T APPRECIATE THEM AT ALL! That particular store has to be a high volume store and Dollar Tree should be ashamed to open the doors to that mess. Goodwill is next to the store and is 100 times cleaner than Dollar Tree! If you want pictures, I'll gladly take them!!!!

This has to be the dirtiest dollar General I have ever been in. Boxes everywhere so 7 can not even get down the isles. Shelves are a disaster very unorganized. I try to avoid this dollar tree if at all possible. Not to mention very expensive and most things
