Made a quick stop at the Casey's on 1st Street in Ankeny Monday afternoon. Made myself a cup of fresh ground coffee and was out the door in a flash after checking out with an enthusiastic young lady behind the counter. Hey, I was the only person in the store at the time, but just the same she greeted me with a smile and sent me on my way. Good job Casey's! (Only wish I would have gotten her name so I could have mentioned it here.)

Not a lot of room to maneuver a trailer or RV but the prices are better than the other Casey's just down the street for some reason. Also a better convenience store inside.

I have always been fond of Casey's but in the last 5 years their pizza has gone downhill, the stores are often a mess, and I have noticed a number of issues with what they post for prices and what actually gets charged at the register. I have written emails to corporate on occasions in instances where the issue never gets corrected. At first I wasn't irritated by it because I thought it was a simple mistake and I was doing them a favor by letting them know. I now believe that this disconnect between posted prices and the price at the register is a strategy. That is the only explanation because it is so pervasive. This particular Casey's was the most recent offender. Posting a price for a product on their cooler door and then telling me at the register that the sale price that is posted on their product doesn't start until tomorrow. I do not remember the last time I went into a Casey's and did not have a discrepancy like this happen. I wanted desperately for Casey's to continue to do well with all of the other convenience stores popping up in the area, but I can no longer choose a Casey's over the other options because I have never had these kinds of issues anywhere else. A consistent error that always benefits the store is not a mistake.

I just watched somebody that cooks food in the dumpster of the Casey's dumpster diving and then making food afterwards. Never eating there again. Disgusting

Caseys, please! I've been loyal for decades, but I can no longer stand the slow gas pumps since you've started playing videos. My last visit was so painful, I stopped at $17 (I couldn't wait until $20 like I was trying to). I couldn't wait to leave!

Nice and clean. Friendly employees. Gas price was right with Fuel saver. (The only reason to still shop HyVee).

Great staff. Unlike most Casey's locations, actually has 91 octane (a good reason for some drivers to automatically go to the nearest Kum & Go). Pizza is consistent with or better than Casey's average, but hot sandwiches are often in short supply and not built well / low on the higher cost ingredients like bacon.

Love you Casey's. Always will. But at some point. A person gets sick of eating your food. So the next new place that pops up across the street they go to. They have options. They have also been popping up across the street from most of your stores. The same store. They have options.

This Casey's is right down the street from my house and I usually stop here on my way to work. The workers are always kind and efficient. Tonight I sent my brother and sister in with a hundred. Yes, a pain I know. I'm a server so I only try to use them at places that will have change. He said he didn't have change for a hundred. If you cannot accept a 100 then post a sign. I've worked gas stations, if your drawer doesn't have the change you ask a manager for the back up change. I didn't go in but my siblings say he was also rude. We went across the street and they broke 100 no problem.

This place is awesome in many ways. The staff is welcoming, the accommodations are excellent, and the facility is clean and well lit. The night staff is especially hospitable with the amount of race fans and concert goers visiting in the early hours of the morning. My family and I look forward to Casey’s every trip we make to Iowa!

I will never frequent this particular Casey’s again. All I needed was $3 of quarters so I can do just 1 load of laundry. There was a gal, long blonde hair, on the heavy side, said no when I asked (politely I want to add here) for some quarters. It wasn’t an apologetic no, or a no with an explanation; it was a matter of fact, kinda crazy, flat out. She was rude and has terrible customer service skills. As long a this woman is there, I will go the many other Casey’s in town.

I have been going to this store for a long time and I have to say the quality of the pizza has really gone down. The last three times I’ve ordered have not been good but yesterday I ordered 3 pizzas and they were all under cooked, very disappointed for what I had to pay. If you tell me 35 minutes my pizza should come at at 35 minutes, not sitting on top of the oven when I arrive.

Thank you to the delivery driver last night that came out to the campground because Polk City Casey's wasn't able to find us down the street. Driver was very friendly and the pizza was delicious.

WARNING: check your pizza crust for plastic wrap. Just on top of the base crust of the actual pizza. I had a 1/2 inch ring that followed the circumference. Wish I could attach photos here.
