I've been getting treats for my dog here since I moved to Iowa almost 3 years ago, and have been getting him groomed here for almost as long. I love the staff! Love the texting feature for booking appointments! The treats are great! I love all the variety and seasonal changes! This is the only place I recommend for a good, thorough groom!

This was Charlie’s first ever groom session in general. The groomers were very polite and personable to my dog. They were excellent on their communication and check marked everything I asked for!

Their staff is always super pleasant, and accommodating. I screwed up appointment dates and they worked magic to help me out. My dog always looks adorable after their caring team grooms him. Highly recommend!

It’s such a cute little cozy place for dog owners and anyone that would love to go and have a look at the variety products and TREATS that they carry! You can buy simple minimalist design cookie treats from their biscuit bar. Or ! You can get special design cookie treats up (such as gotcha day, happy birthday, Oreo design cookie, burger design cookie, donut design, cupcake design... you get the idea 😉) front right next to the register! They carry different size cookie treats from extra small to extra large.The service is excellent and Anna (cashier) was really nice. She even offer us gender design color cookie treats to make sure she can give us the prefer color design or certain cookie ! It’s shows that they do care about their customer and customer’s fur babies.The prices are pretty affordable and reasonable ! Taking into account that there are so many different variety of cookie treats to pick out too. They also carry a lot of other products from dry food to toy, you name it they have it. It’s also a place where you can bring your fur babies in for they bath and grooming. Basically everything you need in one place.I love the fact that I can get dog friendly diy ice cream or cake from this store too. It’s our first time here but we will be coming back for sure ! You don’t have to worry about parking as there are a lot of parking right out front the store.

We had our Australian Shepard in for the full groom. This was our first time here , I am so impressed great customer service,very friendly staff ! Our dog Toby looks amazing Alyssa did such a great job with him . Thank you so much Alyssa.

They are amazing people. They helped me pick out things for my new addition, Luna. We picked up some lick mats that are perfect for my anxious pups. I even got a lead/harness that’s perfect for pullers and escape artists.

I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for my dog Louie's 1st birthday. He's at hunting school with 22 other dogs and they all got a cupcake. I was so happy with my order and the dogs literally LOVED the cupcakes. Friendly staff and great products.

The staff is very kind and helpful. The other customers are also so kind, and real dog enthusiasts.I seriously love their snack bar. There is a variety of snacks that are low fat. At the snack bar, they list nutrition values. I have included picture of the low fat options. The cheese treats are like Charlie Bear's, and the dogs love them!!

Awesome place, you can bring your doggo in with you and have them help you pick out what treats and toys they want. Super friendly staff and I found out that some of their dog treats are actually delicious for human consumption too 😂🤷‍♂️. Seriously though.

I picked up a cake for my lovely Rita Heywoof's first birthday and it is adorable! Everyone I interacted with at Brown Dog was super nice and helpful. Ignore the pink underneath "Happy Birthday," I tried to write her name in gel frosting, it looked terrible, and then tried to wipe it off. The pink was my fault.

I've been a customer for years and I realized I've never written a review! We love Brown Dog Bakery! Even after being a customer for 5+ years, I am still treated like it's my first time visiting the store. The staff is always beyond helpful and so knowledgeable. They have a huge selection and there is always something new. I drive past several other pet stores every day and go out of my way to shop at Brown Dog. When I was sick, the owner personally delivered my dog food to my door. They even added some chews and a toy for my pups who were very bored during that time. I won't buy my pet products anywhere else!

I have to admit that I would pleasantly surprised as to the knowledge that the staff had of different breeds and how to care for them. I was surprised to find that many of the snacks and bakery items for the dogs were actually baked on site that morning. Some of the treats are rather expensive but if you love your animal as much as I love mine I find it well worth it. The treats are tasty as well as nutritious. The treats can be consumed by humans as well as your canine friends.

So it's a very nice quaint little shop. They definitely had a lot to offer for such a small shop. They even have some doggy baked goods that they make there. The reason for the 4 Stars instead of 5 is simply their prices are on the higher side for some of the simple things. Stuffed animals that their only purpose is to be tore up and destroyed by eager puppies might need to be purchased elsewhere. But other than that everything else is readily available. And if you have cats like I do as well, then they also have a section for your kitties.

My chihuahua who is 5 years old has never been able to eat dog food because his mouth is too small and he’s now missing half his teeth. I bought a bag of bixbi Liberty freeze dried beef recipe and I swear I gave him half a bowl and he ate every bit. Anna said he will like this because it’s so soft for him to eat and it’s all natural food. All his life I had to buy lean hamburger and scramble it or lean chicken. I have never seen my puppy eat dog food ever!!!!! Thank you Anna!! You’re an angel. I will never have to cook him food again! I didn’t think this would work BUT these girls proved me different. I’m coming in tomorrow and buying more. I can’t say thank you enough. I’m a customer for life!

Used their self serve dog washing station. Overall, it worked for my large dog. But it was a first time and really no introduction or instruction, just a "it's ready". Just one station to use, but didn't have to wait so that was nice. No reservations allowed, first come first serve. Room was small and also included a wire kennel where a dog was placed that barked loudly continuously. Water didn't warm much so kinda cool bath, however the water hose set up was easy to use. Website said everything included for professional bath - there were two half bottle of shampoo and two refilled bottle of other shampoo, didn't see label so didn't use. Clerk said it was written on top of lid. No conditioner (clerk said they were out ?) or deshedding shampoo. Dryer didn't work initially so had to leave dog in tub to go out in the store to ask why. He didn't jump but easily could have. Then airflow was very strong due to a directional nozzle but it fell off when I was halfway done which really helped. It also never warmed up. Handle got warm to hold but air wasnt warm like a hair dryer. Again, scared him but was just really too forceful against his skin. and he didn't like it so I was using my hand to diffuse it. I dried him in the tub as they recommended but I wasn't comfortable standing on a wet floor after the bath using an electrical appliance. There was a basket of a couple of brushes and combs available. Nice clean white big bath towels for drying. Overall, it was fine and got the job done. I was able to bathe him but I was soaked down the front when I left. Again, it was my first time. But I'd probably wear a rain jacket or bring an apron or something next time. It would be a nice addition to have an apron available. They were very nice, but would have liked a stop by to make sure it was going ok. Maybe my expectations were a bit high, too.

The staff here is amazing and so are their product selections. We love to buy the homemade baked treats and rawhide free bones. They also have treat lick pads for sale that are awesome distractions for working from home.We bring our dog in regularly for grooming and they always do such a great job with her style. Julie, Jaden and Carter do such a beautiful job with her fluffy coat and Keely was kind and helpful as always at the front desk. Anne the owner is super nice and always helpful too. This is a fantastic local business to support and we always look forward to visiting. Thank you for the great care! <3

This store is my favorite! The staff is wonderful! They are friendly, knowledgeable and treat your furbabies like their own. If you are looking to transition to or feed raw, this is the place to help you do so. If you are not wanting to feed raw, they have a selection of high quality kibble for your babies (dogs and cats). The groomers are fabulous and my babies always looks great after a grooming appointment.

So happy with Brown Dog Bakery! I went in originally to get birthday treats for my dog (Siberian Husky) she informed me about a "Doggy Blowout" and so having all this time available I thought why not, I've always wanted to take him somewhere. Today was his appointment and I was sooooo impressed with his coat afterwards. He smelled so great and looked amazing. I highly recommend their grooming service!

I am so happy to finally find a groomer who knows how to cut a schnauzer! The groomer took time to talk with me about how I wanted my dog groomed and when I picked her up she looked beautiful and exactly like what I requested. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. You can tell they love dogs.We bring our dog here for bones, treats, toys (and an occasional sweater) so she wasn’t nervous or scared when we entered the store. Highly recommend Brown Dog - for grooming and all things dog!
