Should rename Best Service! Came in to pick up a purchase. Alex immediately welcomed with positivity and lead me to the service counter. A coworker dashed from the floor to assist me with the purchase. Impressive. Keep the good vibes flowing. Thank you.(Upon departure, Alex continued to shower other customers with a great attitude)

Had not only the microwave I had researched online, but also the upgraded model as a floor model discounted down. Good deal! Also the staff was very kind in getting it off the bottom shelf for me and putting it in my car.

Had an appointment setup for auto installation only for them to cancel on me the week of the appointment due to a preplanned vacation! Leaving a bad review for this location, as they were the ones who booked it. Best Buy has the absolute worst customer service, the left hand never knows what the right hand is doing.

Luke was amazing!!! I went into Best Buy looking for a display cord for my monitor. He looked at pictures of my monitor and made sure I got exactly what I needed for my equipment. He was super courteous, knowledgeable, and willing to go over to customers.

I came in for a simple RAM installation and ended up coming back across town at least 6 times!! I spent more money in gas than I ever wanted to! Caleb installed two different types of RAM, which he should have known was a no-no from the beginning.There were no apologies, and the issue was treated with haste, like a whiz-bang cobbler.That’s not the worst part. Caleb used my custom built PC as a personal benchmark for another customer that was complaining about a 4080 super GPU overheating, and Caleb thought it would be a good idea to take my 4080 RTX out of my PC without my permission, and did stress tests on my computer with the other customer’s GPU just to show them that it’s not overheating and that it was “buyer’s remorse.”I’ve never heard a Best Buy employee ever talking about another customer behind that customers back, to another customer, until now. Was it because he was showing off? I really don’t understand why Caleb told me all of these stories about other customers.Regardless, he should have called me to get my express permission to remove my GPU and use my PC as a benchmark for someone else, and not even helping me with my issue. Of course, I would have said “absolutely not,” but Caleb didn’t take the time to think about that. He very well could have damaged my custom built PC, just to prove a point to another customer. He didn’t even put my RTX4080 GPU back correctly. Caleb also said that he would be installing “Blue” software for the new Yeti Nano microphone I bought from Best Buy. He did not install any software. There were several back slats that were not secured with the screws, or they were cross threaded, hastily and sloppily done. I had to fix the slats myself, when I got home, and then immediately bring it back to Best Buy because the new RAM wasn’t the proper type.That was just ONE of the six times that I had to come back to Best Buy geek squad over a RAM installation.Caleb also lied to me about my Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 16GBx2 RAM sticks that I wanted to order. He said that Corsair “discontinued” that model. I looked it up when I got home, et voilà, it’s for sale on Amazon.I made another trip back to Best Buy. When I got there, I told one of the workers, a female, that I wanted to speak to a manager. I had to ask twice. She got on the radio and said “I don’t know, he wants a manager for some reason.” Very rude manners and voice.I finally got a manager and he ordered the correct RAM that I needed. So it was never discontinued, I was just lied to by Caleb, resulting in me driving back to Best Buy again, to buy the correct RAM and have it shipped to my house. I had to drop off the RAM to Geek Squad the next day. That’s another trip.The next day they couldn’t get the new RAM installed without my PC crashing over and over. No one looked into why this would be happening. They were just more concerned that I was going to return the extra 32GB of RAM, which I did return just today, along with canceling my Best Buy total tech membership.The last straw for me was calling into Best Buy and having my call rerouted to India to some call center. I couldn’t understand any of them and I just wanted to speak to geek squad. Not being able to contact the place that is working on my PC was a major pain and an insult. Best Buy also never contacted me when my PC was ready for pick up, I had to do all of the guess work, and work through the call centers in order to get a status update, which I did opt for, but never received due to lack of care.What an absolute waste of money, time, and gas. I hope no one else ever has to go through what I went through with geek squad just for a simple RAM install. I am going to start learning how to do all of this myself. I simply cannot trust the geek squad or Best Buy after I’ve been treated like that and lied to. Good day.

Got a accer nitro 5. Got the advance warranty. And I had a problem with the systems. Screen was black. And would not stay on for more than 20 to 40 min. Then I took it back to have them repair it or replace the computer. The said to my face nahhhhh......not my problem.....then they reached out to me and said we can see you now and help. AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD EXPIRED. Zero stars don't buy form any best buy ever again....

Despite an overabundance of employees i could not get help purchasing some items locked in cabinets. They’d rather stand around, chatting amongst themselves & ignoring customers. I wanted to buy things that day for a project. Stood in the store for 20 minutes ordering all of it on amazon instead after realizing that the employee i asked for help was too distracted by social hour with his fellow employees to return with keys.

I hardly ever leave reviews anywhere I go unless I have an unparalleled experience that has truly wow’d me. This visit definitely warranted one of those reviews.I walked in without any idea of which specific items I was going to buy and was promptly greeted by Luke. Luke not only helped me but also educated me on the TV I was about to purchase. He also helped me find earlier items I could not locate.Bottom line, I could write paragraphs on how great my experience was here. To keep it short, Luke is an employee who truly has outstanding product knowledge and people skills! We appreciate everything you did for us today! 5 *****

Immediately hassled by the front door man when I walked in the front door, asking why I was there. It wasn’t a friendly welcome, how can I help you today but instead a questioning tone. I told him I was just browsing and he continued to question why I was in this location. He told me I needed to find an employee to walk around with. I have never heard of this in my life

Geek Squad is terrible. Asks for passcode to do a battery replacement even though Apple and their website says they don’t need it. Why would anyone give their passcode to a geek? Appointment was said to take 20, but the ‘Agent’ said that’s impossible it takes 2 hours. 😂

Waited for awhile to ask a question about a keyboard I wanted to buy. One salesman helping an older guy was doing a good job. Two others flirting with each other two aisles away ignored me. Three guys standing at the front door chatting. Walked out with no comment or even looking up at me. Happened last time too. Store was fairly empty, so it shouldn't have been an issue to check on customers standing at their computer station.

Today I went into Best Buy to buy the new x box.. already paid for online! Unfortunately, the representative Chase.. made my experience less exciting and more upsetting. He forcefully tried to convince me to re purchase my x-box, and get a credit line with Best Buy! After me and my fiancé told him several times we would wait until the “system” reboots! He finally settled on our decision! He was completely disrespectful and pushy! Terrible experience

Went in to look for a TV. Guy at the front says he'll hook me up with one of the five guys in back. I proceed to walk back straight towards them and I also here the radio tell them I'm coming. They proceed to ignore me and continue talking between themselves. I make a lap of the TV section and walk in front of them again. Nothing. No acknowledgement or questions. So, I head towards the door and left. You lost at least a $1000 sale. Great job

I have had multiple issues dealing with best buy online. Stopped in the store over the weekend and expressed my frustrations with Luke and Chase. They went well and beyond the Call of Duty and I am not talkimh about a video game. They listened to me and helped resolve the issues. Chase recognizes me every time I come in the store to shop. You don't see that at big box stores. Luke has helped me with resent issues as well. You want great service I would suggest the Ankeny Best Buy only.

A lot of great toys, too, more than some Best Buys (as a toy photographer, I'm always checking for game-inspired and movie/TV-inspired toys).But best of all are the staff. Very helpful. Knowledgeable and with useful insights for comparing similar products. Zac helped us today, and we chose a tablet based on his feedback. Thank you, Zac!

Stopped at Best Buy to discuss changing cellphone companies. Caleb and Luke were very helpful. Both took the time to go over everything with me. I will be doing more business at this particular Best Buy because of the customer service.
