All of the staff that I interacted with were great! Paige was patient and caring with my puppy’s first grooming experience. The two receptionists were terrific. We had two minor issues; one with immunizations and the second was a phone number issue. Both were resolved and they did an outstanding job.

Our puppy went in scruffy and came out like a new dog! I know she was probably hard to handle, because she is so curious about other dogs and people, and wants to meet them all, so she was probably ultra wiggly. So… great job!

These folks are fantastic. We've been taking our dogs here for a while. The doggie daycare, boarding, and grooming our fantastic. The monthly dog parties are also great. Highly recommend

Absolutely lovely people large building with multiple play areas inside and out side. Plenty of friendly staff. Our animals love to go there! It's $35 a day but you can get bundles. They do overnight boarding. I would recommend! Everything has been absolutely amazing and wonderful.

Brought my pup in for his first cut. Very friendly staff. Was shocked when I came to pick him up, didn’t expect that short of a cut but it looks really good and is starting to grow on me. Will definitely come back.

When my dog comes home from an extended 3 day visit and sleeps most of his first day home—I know he had fun and plenty of exercise. He was clean, too which was amazing! Thanks again BA!

Very welcoming, organized and clean! Dog play groups organized so that individuals match activity levels/size of the rest of the group. From the first day of daycare to the tenth and beyond! We have also grooming service which is excellent and very affordable. Drop offs/pickups are busy at peak times but not chaotic. Also have fun events from time to time! Photo from theSanta gift exchange was great!

My two Shih Tzu pups, Baxter and Sadie, and I were warmly welcomed on our initial visit today! Everything was thoroughly explained--thank you! The "puppy cuts" look so nice! Baxter and Sadie seemed quite happy throughout their appointment; I was told they behaved well (Who knows at 3 months, right?). Bark Avenue was a good decision; we scheduled there based on reviews and recommendations from others. VERY satisfied.

They were wonderful with our 90lb goofball. He stayed for 4 nights and got a bath and teeth brushing on his last day. He cam back happy, tired out, and looking and smelling way better. Would recommend to anyone boarding their pup.

We’ve gone to multiple groomers trying to find the right fit for our Whoodle. I believe we finally have and a large part of that was Paige. She understood how to work with our dog and his super active behavior. Looking forward to future visits and partaking in other activities hosted by the business.P.S.Everyone at the front desk was also very helpful and friendly!

Although my pup was groomed nicely my appointments were set up for 2 different dogs. One at 8:30and one at 1230 as they didn’t have time to do both in the am. When I arrived to pick the first one up and drop the second they said my appt was for 9. Which was not accurate. They would not do the groom as they said I was late. So disappointed I took the day off work to get them cared for.

First time boarding my dog here. He absolutely loved it. He got to socialize with other dogs and even got training while he was there. They bathed him the day we picked him up! And I love how they offer "Report cards" that tell you exactly what he did and includes pictures of him throughout the day! I will definitely be taking my dog back next time I need boarding again.

I understand that there was a surplus of pets staying for Thanksgiving weekend, however I did not receive the services described while booking. It was my pup's 1st visit. I was to receive an update approximately halfway through my trip on how her day was going. I never received a call, text or email. I even called in to check on her and I was told, "I think she's doing good." Not very reassuring. I have yet to get a call on whether or not her blanket is ready for me to pick up. They could not find it when I went to pick her up. I'm glad that they had availability at the time of reservation but I don't know if I will be using their services again.

My 5 month old puppy visited the Ankeny location for a bath and I added on a face trim to the service. I was super pleased with the results. The person who groomed him also stopped to talk with me and provided an update on how he did through the process, which I appreciated. We will be returning.

Amazing experience! They were so kind and caring! We signed up for daily report cards and received multiple videos and photos each day. Our dog looked so happy and that’s all we could ask for!

Casey is hands down the best groomer Piper has ever gone to! She is patient and gentle with Piper and her haircut is always on point!! We’ve gone to Casey for years and I’m so glad she’s back at Bark Avenue!!! While the other groomers at Bark Avenue are really good too, Casey is our favorite!! I don’t ever have to worry about Piper’s Care while she is at Bark Avenue or with Casey!! Piper goldendoodle and Casey always listens to how I want her cut (not the standard doodle/poodle cut) abs everyone always compliments her!! We love Casey!!

My dog went to Bark Avenue in Ankeny over the weekend for daycare and boarding. When I picked her up on Sunday, they told me she had been injured by another dog. The dog punctured her ear all the way through. They said they didn't call me because they were too busy. They also said the vet costs would be taken care of. When I brought the bill in they took care of the vet costs but they told me the incident wasn't documented at all. They also didn't contact the other dogs owners about the incident. The manager was very rude and said that it wasn't that big of a deal. She said my dogs ear wasn't bleeding and just had a scab. The employees the day before told me that it was bleeding all over and that's how they noticed something happened. The vet also told me it had to of bled a lot if there was a scab. I am appalled at the lack of communication and downplaying of what happened to my dog. I would be very cautious if you decide to take your dog there. I will never be back!
