Very very disappointed. Spent around 10 dollars on a manual car wash. Pre soap did not work. Once I switched to high pressure rinse the soap continued out for about another min not giving me enough time to rinse the car. Once I called to inform them of the issue. They offered me 4 dollars to start another wash. Will not be going back. Waste of time and money.

Save your $, go to any other wash in Ames. The auto wash is weak, its hard to know what youre paying for, the screen just has different priced packages with no description to what youre paying for. The underspray when pulling in only lasts a few seconds, hardly enough time to get your vehicle through, and the dryers dont really do much of anything.The self service stations work pretty good, and they need to because the autowash wont be able to complete the job. Although sometimes they smell like sewage? And their brushes are often in pretty bad shape (may leave swirls in the paint).Id reccomend Sudsational Car Wash in North Ames. Their automated system works great, is similarly priced and their self service bays are usually in better shape.

Most expensive car wash in ames. 4$ to start manual wash bay for 3 min. If you add 4$ to time while washing doesnt get you 3 min of time. So better off letting time run out and starting again. What a rip off

Used the self pet wash today. I love all the soaps provided, everything is clean, my only complaint would be the time provided. It’s $8 for 8 minutes. I got to wash my dog but would’ve had to spend another $8 to blow dry her and she has a short coat. I would recommend you bring you own towels just in case!

Really nice car wash! I do wish the dryer was a little longer. But overall this car wash does a great job of getting you car clean and is very well kept. We have used the dog wash as well. Works really well and keeps your own bath tub clean! I highly recommend stopping here. Only downside is one of the wash bays was broken.

I use the touchless Lynn Car Wash service at least once month. Although I could do better in terms of cleaning the car, the place where I live and the weather condition doesn't always supportive. They offer a couple type of cleaning along with vacuum and car fragrances.

The touchless car wash is great. The self serve bays are always clean and work well. Vacuums too. I use the subscription service and it’s my favorite car wash in town.

Banned from the membership after one week because I own more than one car. Hope you like to be on camera the creepy owner lives in the apartment over the car wash and has the entire place rigged with cameras watching you at all times.Service: Auto detailing

Great location and the machines (we used touchless, they offer self-serve) were in perfect working condition. We had a lot of salt on the car from winter driving along the highway and local streets. The pressure of the soaking, cleaning and rinsing turned out perfect. Even the blowers for drying the car were pretty decent. We selected the fully loaded option, which was about $20 and felt that it meet our expectations. You may want to have a towel available, for some quick touch-up drying afterwards, but definitely not mandatory. They also have a pet washing location (within an indoor room/booth) I would have loved to seen someone use that, looked pretty cool. Now seeing why the facility has been around 40 plus years with great reviews is not a surprise.Service: Car waxing

Friend dropped his phone in the dog wash n didn't notice til he got home. The owner found it right after he left and kept it safe til it was able to be picked up the next day. The dog wash was great.

Not happy with the self serve car wash. First, it was supposed to take credit cards but didn't. I put four ones in to start the wash. I was half way through when I needed to add more money, but the machine wouldn't take a $5 bill, even though it was supposed to, so I had to switch bays in the middle of my wash and pay an extra $4 just to start the second bay. The foam brush was flimsy and didn't work well. Air dryer not powerful. Won't be coming back.

Best place to go if you don't trust automatic car washes or just prefer to do it yourself. I always bring my own wash mitt because the brush they supply is guaranteed to scratch your car paint. Pressure washers are high-powered and their soap has never failed to clean even the dirtiest of wheels. A little pricey if you're slow to clean, but I enjoy the process so it's worth it to me.

I joined the membership here based on recommendation of a business owner in Ames but my membership was canceled because apparently different rules apply to me and not him. Oh my gosh. What a rip off. They charge you $16 to use the self serve sprayers. I thought it was an accident at first. Went back, nope $16 on my account. I've never seen a bigger scam in my life.

Car Wash is overpriced leaves wax streaks on your vehicle and then you have to finish drying it in their self-serving bay. Totally overpriced compared to other car washes in Ames. Especially when you have to go home and buff out all the wax streaks that they've left on it

Definitely the best carwash in Ames for results, but the price is outrageous. They need to offer a subscription service. I usually go to the carwash by Lowes because of value.Edit, since they responded to me: the prices have been too high since pre-pandemic. And no automatic carwash will ever beat a proper hand-wash.Edit 2, the most expensive wash at the carwash by Lowe's is $13.

Both automatic washbays are in need of service as they continually leak the red/blue cleaning solution well into the drying cycle of the wash which ends up covering both sides of the car.

Update: The response from the Owner makes NO sense and is not what was requested. I didn't request money for unused time. I asked for my money back as I didn't realize there was a $5 minimum. Owner's response was to put more money in up to the minimum. Not that same!Put $2 in then see there is a $5 minimum AFTER you start putting your money in. No sign prior! Talked with guy in office who refused to give me my money back. Told me to just put more money in. Didn't want entire wash only enough to rinse off my running boards. #worthless

First time issuing this place. I wished there were trash can in the bay areas. A little hard to find walking up near vacuum outside. While it's great to dry the exterior of the car in the bay area, I couldn't tell which one was the car dryer. I paid $5 and felt like it was a decent clean. I'll use this location again.

Decent car wash. We used the manual car wash, which you would assume would be cheaper, but wasn't. You don't get much time for the money you insert. Don't even bother using the hand dryer to dry anything. You couldn't blow leaves off of your driveway with that thing.

1st trip, machines didn't work, wouldn't turn on and kept my money... Left with a dirt ball of suds.. however, management didn't hesitate to make it right . . No problems with the machines this time . Everything was actually in very good working order.. no complaints.. definitely a 5 star

My preferred car wash due to its proximity to home. Usually visits are great. Occasionally there's a visit where you pay for the premium wash, but the wax container is empty and you don't get what you paid for. Kind of rare though, so still 4 stars.

Great, cheap carwashes with lots of different options. They also have high powered vacuums that work wonders for the carpets in your car. It costs $2 per 2 mins with the vacuum, so go fast. As soon as you enter your credit card it starts to be ready right when you pay.

Took my Tahoe through the automatic wash for $11 and thought it would clean it. Came out with of the wash and check it out to find it didn't clean it worth a crap. I tried to get ahold of the phone number that's posted on the website to inform them of this but I have not received an answer. I thought maybe they would take care of there customers a little better but I was wrong.I will say though, I Like the dog wash. My wife and I have used it many times to wash our two dogs but the price is pretty high.

After driving almost 1400 miles round-trip and successfully navigating through the worst winter storm I have ever been in, my car was in desperate need of a wash. Due to the cold temperatures right now, I decided to try a drive-thru wash and found this place. I was very impressed with how clean the outside of my car was afterwards. This wash was even able to get rid of all the ice stuck between my windshield and my hood as well as all the nasty stuff built up under the car and in the wheel wells. I will be washing my car here regularly and would recommend it to anyone! My only complaint is that I think they are grossly overpriced. But I am not from Iowa and have lived places where hand-wash car washes exist and are less than this automatic wash was. So my opinion may be skewed. It was worth it thought to not have to get out of my car in the 22° weather.

This is a very nice, clean self service car wash. The sprayer system has everything you could imagine from soaps to waxes. The brush works well though it is recomended not to use on nice paint. It also has an air dryer which is a rare find, though my car isnt nice enough to be that pampered. They accept cash and card as well. Very nice.
