I used this company once before and didn’t have the greatest experience, but tried again recently when my garage door stopped working. I called on a Friday morning (the lady answering the phone was incredibly nice) and they said they would be out the following week on Monday or Tuesday (which I thought was appropriate). They ended up showing up within two hours of me calling! They fixed the problem quickly. Thank you!

I got home to shut the garage and when it closed something seemed off, went to open it to take dog to vet and it wouldn't open. I noticed cables were loose from pulley system, I contacted landlord and she called these guys and they were here within 15 minutes and discovered the springs were busted. Both employees were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and accurate. I highly reccomend them!!

The 2020 derecho damaged my chain link fence and I decided it was time for an upgrade to a 6' wood privacy fence. Admittedly most of Ames needed fence repairs so it was awhile before they could get to me. I would say it was worth the wait though. The fence looks great and I was very pleased with the level of professionalism I received throughout the entire process from estimate, to tear-out, and through installation. Would highly recommend.

We had both of our garage doors replaced yesterday. The service team did a great job. They needed little to no attention from us. Got both doors updated nicely in one day. It did take longer than expected to get the new door delivered but I chalk that up to it being 2020.

If you're having residential garage doors installed go elsewhere. I had three replaced and two repaired after the derachio storm. The doors had dings in them from delivery and I had to hang around another day so they could send out a third technician to correct all the errors from the initial install. Errors included; out of plum vertical and overhead tracks, loose fasteners, loose mounting hardware, poor weather seal installation and misaligned doors. One year later I'm still adjusting them, they'll never be back on this property.

We have had such positive experiences with the Door & Fence store! On a recent call regarding a non-working garage door they sent staff out immediately to diagnose the problem and scheduled a replacement installation for the next day. Each staff member we interacted with was friendly, competent, and professional. What a great local business!

Quality work, had both doors installed in a few hours and cleaned up work area.The only thing that i did not like was communication. I did the online form to get a quote and didn't hear anything until a few days later. Until the guy was already on the way to my house and i was work. Luckily I was able to get off work, but it would have been nice to have it scheduled.

I called them and they were there the next day. Lady who answered the phone and took my order was most polite and professional. The service tech showed up when they said he would and I received a courtesey call right before they he came. He was very diligent and also very professional. He had our problem fixed in no time. We called about our crooked, stuck garage door at 8 am and it was fixed by 11 am. We didn't even need new parts, just an expert who knew how to make some apparently complicated adjustments. We always know we will get great service from the Door and Fence Store.

I my 6 year old door had a spring break on a Saturday morning. I called the 24 hour on call of the company that installed it 6 times. Saturday afternoon I called the Door and Fence Store and talked to their on call on the first try. We agreed that they would come out Monday morning and fix it. I got home Monday night and it works and was quieter than before. Great job, great response, fair price.

The Door & Fence Store really impressed me today! My garage door spring snapped so I did then next logical thing and I googled to find someone who could fix it. The Door & Fence Store came up as the 1st option so I sent a quote request online, and with in 10 minutes they called me! They had an installer at my house less then 2 hours later. He was friendly and helpful and had the job done in no time at all, and after he was finished he took the time to tell me what I need to do in the future to maintain the doors. The springs broke on my garage door and I was unable to get my car out. The Door & Fence Store squeezed me into the schedule and replaced both springs and a hinge that I didn't notice was broken. Also checked everything out and lubricated rollers and hinges. Very quick and professional.

I had a spring break on an overhead commercial door in one of our buildings. The Door & Fence Store was very prompt in getting here to measure for the spring and then to get it replaced. We were up and running again in a very acceptable amount of time! I would recommend them for repairs on your over head door!

I needed a safety sensor kit for my garage door; they were close by and I figured they do this all the time so they should get better prices for buying in volume - they had a different perspective - that the convenience of "right now" was worth over twice the going rate. I should have done a little homework first rather than making an assumption - could have gone down the road five minutes and picked it up for less than half the price ($35 less). I suppose I should thank them - now I know when purchasing bigger ticket items I should look else where as they seem to be opportunistic relative to their ethics in business practice.
