I absolutely love taking my dog to get groomed at Serenity. This is the third dog grooming place that I've taken my pup to in Ames and is by far my favorite. Not only is everyone here welcoming and friendly, but you can genuinely tell that they care for the furry friends that come to them. I can still remember my first call to make an appointment and how refreshed I was with the customer service over the phone. For me, that interaction translated to when I came in for the first time. My pup is 14 years old, has lumps and bumps, and can have dryer seizures, which are things I was very up front about. Immediately, they made me feel confident in the grooming they'd provide by responding with the measures that they take to accommodate our older furry friends. Caleb is the fantastic groomer who takes care of my dog, and he does wonderful. He's willing to listen and implement changes to the grooming if I ask, and he is always nice. Overall, Serenity Pet Spa makes the scheduling, drop-off, and pick-up process seamless. A bonus for me is that my pup comes home not only with a fresh haircut but also a sweet little bandana.

NEVER GO TO SERENITY PET SPA! My siblings brought their two dogs there to get groomed and refused to groom one of them because he bites when all other groomers do it. We ended up picking the dogs up with the one visibly crying and both of them not even really groomed. They paid full price for basically nothing. The place is very dirty and not worth the $155. Please, NEVER take your dogs there.

BEWARE OF THIS GROOMER!!! I only left Moni a 1 because -10 is not a choice! We got our Welsh terrier groomed before leaving to go out of state for Xmas, only to discover after leaving Iowa that he was bleeding from a large 3” x 2” cut under his chin on his neck. We discovered it because he was bleeding on everything he came in contact with. What is even worse, I think Moni used some type of powder to stop the bleeding. before sending him home, and she didn’t even have the decency or integrity to tell us when we picked him up!! I am so horrified by this that I don’t even have words to describe how I feel about it. Thank God it was no deeper or he could have bled to death! I am a nurse practitioner and there are blood vessels in the neck that can cause death if cut. Now our poor dog is suffering and we are worried about infection! We will never go back! Lyn Wilson

Moni does a wonderful job. My dog, Lulu, goes to Scerenity two days a week for some doggy socialization. Lulu is always so happy when we arrive at Serenity that I can barely contain her on the leash. Moni is also an outstanding groomer. I can't say enough good things about Moni and Serenity Pet Spa!

Highly recommend! 10/10 on QUALITY care and accommodations. My boyfriend and I left our rabbit for two weeks and when we came back he acted as if we were never gone! Moni took amazing care of our pet, he had his own night light and a small TV to keep him company. I called halfway through my vacation and Moni took time out of her busy schedule to talk with me, inform me of my rabbits mood, and which treats she was spoiling him with. This place is a HIDDEN GEM and more people need to know about it. I plan on boarding with her a few more times in the coming months!I also received photos of his setup as well. He had room to relax and play. The environment was clean and friendly!

Serenity watches my dogs frequently. The owner has been exceptionally responsive and accommodating to my needs, which is greatly appreciated. She was very understanding most recently when I was not able to make the pick up deadline.I never have to worry that my dogs will be taken care of when we drop them off at Serenity. I don't feel that I have a personal relationship with any businesses in town, except for Serenity Pet Spa.I read the negative review and sincerely don't agree with their assessment. I have no doubt that anyone can have a bad experience anywhere, but I can say with 100% sincerity that Serenity has been a blessing to my family, by helping us take care of our dogs when we leave town, and my dogs have always been well cared for.

This is a great place for your pupper. My toy poodle absolutely adores this place and is always so excited when we come over for daycare. The grooming is good quality, and I finally have a place to board my dog while I'm traveling knowing my doggo is well taken care of. The dogs are NOT just kenneled all the time while boarded but they get playtime at no extra charge. Moni goes above and beyond to make sure your and your pet's needs are met 100%. She even worked with my own work schedule to accomodate my dog for daycare. Best place in Ames for daycare, boarding, and grooming!

Our two pups love coming to Serenity Pet Spa for daycare and boarding. The owner and staff are very kind and they take great care of our pets. We've been using their service for several years and I can't imagine going anywhere else based on the quality of care provided to our pets.

Moni has been looking after my pups for over 20 years. After 20 years- and several pups, I appreciate the value she brings to grooming. If you're looking for a great-clips quick cut n'groom..run up the street, because she CARES for your pets as if they were her own and takes the time they need to do a thorough job. She runs a good business and I'm thankful for her services.

We have been taking our dog here for 3 years. They are great. Always friendly and courteous and always give our dog the best haircut. She loves going here and we love taking her. The shop is always clean and nice. THis is definitely the place to go to get a great groom for your pet.

If I could give Moni a ten star rating, I would and will! My dogs love coming in. They walk right in and do not fight to get out! they look absolutely amazing each time! YES SHE IS STILL IN BUSINESS!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! The office was discussing! There were dogs walking around with POOP on the floor both fresh and old. The grooming areas looked as if they had never been cleaned. Dog hair, dandruff, stains all over. To top it off there were a few TASERS laying around. I asked to see where my dog was staying and she said I couldn't. I'm sure it was because it was such a great looking place where the dogs were staying(NOT)! So if all of this is okay with you by all means take your dog. But if not you might not want to take them.

My lab loves to go visit, and get his bath and blow dry. . Helps so much with the shedding .. Moni is one of the friendliest people I have met in Ames.. Fantastic service!!!!
