Can't say enough positive things about the auto/tire center. Whoever was working today 04/19/24 during my 9AM appt rocked. They accommodated my need for a quick appt due to a last minute trip I had and were very friendly about it. I also needed my old tires and they bagged them up and placed them in my car for me. The appointment was very quick and they even fixed a tire sensor light I've had on for months. Will be back!

It is a popular wholesale supply chain in the US. Similar to Costco, you can find almost everything here, but in bulk packaging. Which makes it a good option for families as the prices are quite cheaper as compared to buying the same products in retail shops. But you have a have their membership to buy products, otherwise you can’t shop here. You can always get their membership in store incase you don’t have it already. They have a wide selection if products ranging from grocery, fruits, vegetables, bakery, dairy, poultry, and meat to clothes, electronics, car tires, cosmetics, and medicine. They also have a small restaurant inside where you can grab snacks like pizza, ice cream, and hotdogs etc.

Stopped here on our way back home to mn for a pot pie but they were out.. and out of a lot of pre made items ... picked up some of their sushi instead.. we were impressed for the price ... very tasty and fresh .... store was clean and well organized.

An online order updated to have canceled items in my basket. There is no way to make substitutions and the help center lies about there being a cancel order button.I have been on hold trying to contact this store and the delivery department for 30 minutes.Absolutely awful customer service. I would rate lower than 1 star if I could. Just worthless.

Store is very clean and nicely organized. Prices are very reasonable. Some items are lacking compared to a traditional Walmart. Overall, I do believe I will make use of my new membership, even if I only shop here once a month or so.Included a few pics I snapped along the way to remind myself what to order potentially for when I wasn't enjoying a walk in the 70° "Indian Summer" Iowa weather we had today during my first visit. 🙂

Ordered a new refrigerator. It was supposed to be delivered on 01/15/2024, but the terrible delivery company they used would not take it out of the truck and bring it up my driveway because there was still a small amount of snow down the middle of the driveway. However, there were clear areas on either side, big enough for a furniture dolly. Now I have no refrigerator and I'm getting the runaround about my refund. I am not impressed with this company at all.

For the past two years I have been purchasing various products and overall they have been good. However, the yellow onions I bought recently were disappointing, out of each bag with around 12 onions, 8 were spoiled due to fungus development. This was unexpected as I usually buy sweet onions. When I contacted customer care, they advised me to visit the club for a return but it wasn't helpful.

I always choose email and print option for my receipt at the cash register. The cashier has the question to ask if I want to upgrade and if I don't answer my receipt choice quick, and they don't ask if I want to upgrade, then there is no way to get my receipt emailed to me. So annoyed. You also need a printed copy to get out the door.

I walked in the door at approximately 9:59am unbeknownst of the approximate times this location was open. I was immediately halted by the door greeter who requested my papers and I promptly provided. She stated I was not allowed to enter unless I upgraded my membership as the store did not open to regular members till 10am.If the goal of the employees were to be as inhospitable as possible and reduce sales, they certainly succeeded.

I have had a membership at this club for many, many years. It used to be all about the customer service and providing friendly, helpful service.I picked up an order and of course I am thankful to be able to do it this way so that I do not have to come into the club, however, this also means I dont see my product until I get home. I purchased a package of aluminum banquet trays and the entire package of them was smashed in. I called the store and of course, I was placed on hold and after waiting on hold and nobody picking up and getting an attitude I hung up.I decided to contact Sams Club via Twitter and spoke to a nice representative there who provided me with a case number and said someone from the local store would be in touch with me about my product. That was on Sept. 1st. As of Sept. 15th, nobody had been in contact so I did the online chat. That rep said he could not look at the case number and the best thing I could do is just to contacf the store directly about a replacement item.What kind of customer service is this?!Not only that, on the 15th of September I placed an order for an item. The website said it was in stock. However when my husband went to get the order, that item had been cancelled off and was told that it was out of stock. However. When I went back and looked at the website, it again said it was in stock. This is a great disservice. I understand that things go out of stock but this happens on a very regular business.Sams Club, I am VERY disappointed in you. Do better. Get back to good customer service and not just worry about making money. Your loyal customers who spend alot if money there deserve at least that.

They threw away the cord to my Oxygen Tank insted of putting it in the lost and found. It was so hard to find a replacement without bying a new machine.

Cashiers aren't very friendly. Regularly see young people standing up front talking, which I was always chastised for at my previous retail job. If you come across any employee they don't even look at you, let alone say hello. No, I don't want to upgrade my membership just to shop before 10am. I shouldn't have to- all I wanted was to go to the bakery. 10am is so late to open up to people who pay to have a membership.

Scan and go makes it so much faster and you always know the price as you put it on your cart. Pretty busy but as long as you want large sizes is great. Produce selection is great too

I'm not sure at what point they started routing calls through a call center, but that is a huge mistake. You only find out by calling ahead how busy Tire and Battery is, and that can only be answered by someone in the club. No one in a call center looking at the schedule can possibly know how many people actually showed up for work. I even tried calling the main number (Member Services), no answer! You have basically taken away any member interaction besides checking my receipt at the door.

Worst experience I’ve ever had trying to buy tires. They didn’t have my tire size in stock, so I had to wait a week for delivery. After that, I made an appointment nearly a month in advance for installation. They said they would text/call me with a reminder, that never happened. I called to double check my appointment time, they said it had already passed. They tried to say I made my appointment for a day that I was completely unavailable for. When I tried to make another appointment, they tried to push me out another 15 days. I called the dealership next door, after ordering the tires, at the a lower price than sams, they are able to order them in and install them in just two days, not 45. Worst service ever.

Had an appointment for a tire rotation today. I made the appointment 2 weeks ago through a call center. I get there today, the computer says the appointment is next Friday, wrong. Three employees standing around looking at each other, doing nothing but can't take 5 minutes to do some wotk.

The Ames location struggles. Cafe is closed nearly all the time now- even during prime meal times. They say they only have 1 part time cafe worker, yet have 4-5 people standing around watching us all do self check out. Countless times I’ve gone in and there’s no rotisserie chickens available or even close to being done. Tonight they were out of 36pack eggs and tortillas. Lack of sales is no excuse because it’s always full of customers with carts overflowing. Ankeny location does not have these issues.

I usually don't leave bad reviews as sometimes mistakes happen and it doesn't necessarily reflect the business but this Sam's Club is horrible. We ordered tires and were told we could not make an appointment at that time, that they wanted to wait for the tires. What they didn't tell me is that appointments were 2 to 3 weeks out so there's no reason why they couldn't have set an appointment as tires only take a few days to get in. That was mistake one.Mistake 2 after the tires came in we went in to make an appointment for which we were told it was 2 to 3 weeks. So we asked about walk in and we were told we needed to be there between 8 and 9 but the earlier the better. We went in for a walk in not once, but twice only to be told they could not take us to come back another day and when we would come back the day they recommended they would tell us we need to come back another day. I usually go to the car dealership for my tires but was told how easy it was to get the tires done at Sams and we've been members for 30 years so we figured, why not. Moral of the story is I should have stuck to the car dealership and got tires there.

Ames Sam's continues to disappoint. We maintain 2 shopping lists - Sam's and grocery; so I know the items that are REGULAR Sam's items. I can say that there is always an 80-90% chance that they won't have one of our normal items; today it was sliced salami and sliced cheese. Everytime I ask myself why I'm not getting a Costco membership and making the trip to Ankeny.

I love Sam's club. Easy shopping inside. And great pickup service, too. The attendant at the cashier was very helpful. And the associate that bring my groceries out to my car are always nice and polite.

Aside from products coming and going that I like. People wait for the pumps to be turned on at this place. Like you have 6 people waiting for 6am to come around when a lady has been sitting in the booth with the sign on open for 10min. Why can't you turn them on earlier? Why can't you open this place earlier? It's your busiest spot in the parking lot everyday.

Everyone waiting at checkouts waiting for approvals and one customer actually called the store from checkout..was on hold for 3 min. To request help. Poor little cal that was called came running to help...she said...there's only 3 people working today...seriously pay better and offer benefits so people will work there.

Shopping at Sam's is normally a good experience. Today though, three employees couldn't figure out how to issue me a credit for an overcharge. After waiting 10-15 minutes, frustrated, I finally gave up and left without receiving my credit.

Sam's club consistently had good prices on tires, however they consistently have issues with service. It's hard to find a time to get your car in, they rarely have enough staff available to help and the quality of service the last year or so has been lacking.
