My dorm mates were on a hunt to build a few gingerbread houses and we were excited to find all the supplies we were missing. Items are well laid out within the store. Needless to say, it was pretty busy as we get closer to the holidays, but all of the associates remained cheerful and helpful. The parking was no problem and check out was as painless as could be.

Great selection. Would be nice to have a floor plan as to where things are located. They keep moving things to keep a fresh look around the place. Never enough open check out lanes.

The woman who helped with a frame and glass was very helpful. Knowledgeable friendly and gave options without pushing her own preferences. We went from good-better-perfect! The store is just a fun place to go. The merchandise is positive cute funny and/or beautiful and Christian feeling. Everywhere you look there us an uplifting message. Need to relax? This is the perfect place to go!

I went to the salvation army it was really nice inside and found a lot of good finds. Have fixing rooms and everything is separate in gender and size and color.

Oh, how my grocery store has changed. Bags are smaller and flimsier, not good to reuse. Young male manager type really tries hard and female young lady manager excellent, but chattering checkout woman makes experience annoying. The old crew is basically gone, it's not terribly easy to find help. Definitely not a friendly smile in every isle.

Did a grocery pick up and ordered $300 worth of party trays. Wish they would have all been in the pick up area, so that was a little bit of an inconvenience when setting up the pick up time, I also called and they said I would pick them all up there. Not a huge deal, I went in and picked them up….but then I got the wrong tray and didn’t know until I got back to my home town. Whoops, luckily the only thing the one I got was missing was grapes. I opted to not go back and exchange them, hopefully whoever got mine enjoyed grapes. 😊. The party trays were fantastic, cookies were great, and dinner rolls were amazing as well. Hyvee always does a great job with their quality of product they put out!

The young new management is trying very hard, but this store is a SHADOW of what it used to be like. It used to be beautiful with food displays and products. Customers were everywhere as were young workers, now it's nearly empty and abandoned 😕 not the beautiful, cheerful place as in the past! Oh, and they turned the dining room into a dingy bar that is empty. It used to be filled with families and friends laughing and spending time together! It's really sad! I sure miss the old Grand Hy-Vee, very fond memories of spending time there! Lord only knows what happened at Corporate! Oh, and during Thanksgiving, they had some rubbish about giving thanks to the employees instead of God and for our country!? Globalist "WOKE" Garbage! This will NOT end well, Hy-Vee ! Go woke, go broke!

Some days are fantastic and others not so great. Hy-Vee shoppers are generally rude and do not move out of the way for paying customers. Some of the cashiers are friendly and helpful, but not many. Meat department is the friendliest.

I was craving a chocolate cake with butter cream frosting. They didn't have one in the display area, so I was going to leave..but the lady from behind the counter asked me what I needed. I told her and she brought 3 out from the freezer!! So delicious!!

This parking lot needs immediate help! It is almost dangerous to push a cart through.The staff is super polite and the center is clean and well kept. They could use more attention to the produce area. You have to really really watch as there is so much displayed that has molded and should be removed.

Had a great experience with Jackson in the Floral Dept this morning. He started my day off so great with his friendliness and by being so helpful! The Bakery staff was prompt and helpful too! Great job to this Hy-Vee store today for outstanding service all around!

This place you wanna go if you do it right you can do what I did you can fill your tank up for less than 4 bucks if you do all the fuel savers that you can manage to do it's worth it I save anywhere from $40 to $60 a week with my fuel saver at hy-vee. One big tip is you use their catalog so you can get 50 cents off for every $60 you spend you can also even some of the fuel or weight powders you can get a dollar off per gallon by 3 of those that's $3 off a gallon.. Again that's per gallon that's why my gas only cost me 53 cents to fill up per gallon.

Rent a cops with guns in Ames. I feel less safe with the rent a cop than by any customer there. Hy vee has a terrible history with rent a cops. Planning on going to Hy vee much less now. Walburgers is unbelievably slow. Their rush is 5 tables with requires an hour and a half wait for simple food. First and last time eating at a walburgers.

Went to Eyemart, then Salvation Army Thrift Store, then HyVee. Great service at all three places. Plus there's way more than that: pizza, haircuts, fabric store, and a hobby and craft store to name a few.

Wide variety of groceries. Yet, not my favorite store. Fir cheaper prices on food staples, aldi is better. For meats, fareway is preferred. For huge array of groceries and home goods I prefer Walmart super center

I like this little shopping center. It has a nice variety of stores to choose from and the ability to grab food. The items sitting outside of the Salvation Army did make it more difficult to walk on the sidewalk there but it's understandable. The snow removal could be better too.

Staff was nice and friendly My girlfriend and I were out for the day on our Harley, when coming through Ames we started having trouble with our bike . So the closest place to pull over was Havee gas at LincolnWay and Grand Ave. . And we had to call dealer ship in Des Moines to come pick up the and us. Thanks for letting us hang out for a little bit.

Pretty clean place. Usually it's well stocked. Employees are always nice. Coffee is generally fresh. Plenty of parking. Pumps are well kept and clean as well.Pumps are 24/7.

Small variety of stores including the Salvation Army with the grocery store HyVee being the largest. There is a large free parking lot that has easy access from multiple streets. One does have to be careful driving and parking in it because of the flow from many directions and pedestrians walking across a major driveway.

Newly remodeled, it is like a whole different place. One of the best places to eat in Ames. Variety to suit any taste, magnificent salad and fresh fruit bar. Speaking of bars, there is now a full fledged BAR in the deli eating area. And, get this, they have like 60 different beers on tap at the same time! The only drawback is the price, which is anywhere from 5% to 20% higher than other local grocery stores. Otherwise, it is awesome!

Really disappointed in this hyvee store. I shop very little there anymore. I'm not sure if it's an organizational issue in management. Let's just say I wasn't to fond of CUSTOMER SERVICE closing at 8pm now. I didn't even bother to shop.

The Hy-Vee has station is a great addition paired with the store. It typically has amongst the lower gas prices in town, and there is a nice selection of essentials you can quickly grab at store prices rather than convenience store prices. Free air hose for the car, with the ability to set the desired PSI and it fills until reached. Very convenient and handy.

I have said previously I work at HyVee at Webster City, Ia.My store sends me out to other HyVee stores to pick up supplies from time to time.I am always impressed with the bigger stores. Lots of specialized departments to get whatever you want to eat.
