The pharmacy here is not as great as it seems to be there are always long lines and you have yo wait between 15 to 30 mins if they have your prescription. They also will give you run arounds on your prescription this place really needs help.

Want to kill 20-30 minutes of your time? Have a prescription you need to pick up? Hopefully you’re not in a rush and don’t have anywhere to be. You can count on these guys making you wait 20-30 minutes every single time.Give them a full 24 hours to get it filled and you’ll still show up and be asked to wait 20-30 minutes. So if you enjoy wasting your time and have low expectations, this is the pharmacy for you.

My complaints are all surrounding the horrible, pathetic job the pharmacy at this particular location is. I’ve had nothing but mistakes from their pharmacy staff. Today I received a text that my prescription was ready for pickup. After waiting in a line of 2 cars 25 minutes (the West hyvee takes a matter of minutes per car by the way) they told me no pharmacist had labeled my prescription and It would take another 20 minutes and I would have to go to the back of a now 5 car line. Extremely displeased with the service and if I were managing the pharmacy here there would be a complete clean out of their current staff. Waiting in the pharmacy line for an hour is just plain unacceptable. Ridiculous

This pharmacy is probably the worst. Had prescription sent in by doctor. 8 hours later still hadn’t been filled. Said would be filled next fay followed by the question of do you need it now?? Hope they don’t kill someone for lack of proper planning.

Would not recommend this location. Employees severely lack people skills and will allow you to go without needed medication over a 3 day period when the medication clearly states to not immediately stop. Mental health is their last concern especially regarding your medications. Find a place that takes this seriously, my family will be.

Everytime that I have gone here they have been very patient and helpful. It always seems my doctor changes perscriptions with out me know and the pharmacists help me out.

Best pharmacy in Story county. Will only come here. They are always very helpful, friendly and quick to resolve any issues. They definitely go above and beyond to meet anyones needs.

I had a doctor's appointment at 11am, my prescription was put in at the end of it around 1130am. I came to the pharmacy at 6pm and they said they were not planning to fill it until the next day but if I wanted it today, I could wait 30 minutes. I decided to wait and I left the store to go to the carwash near by. I came back, more than 30 minutes had passed and they hadn't even started my prescription because they said they needed my insurance. I don't know why I wasn't asked about this the first time but okay. Then they said it would be a few minutes, so I sat and waited. Another 20 minutes had passed and I finally went up to the counter and they had forgotten I was waiting. I understand that mistakes happen but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I'll take my prescriptions elsewhere for now on.

The slowest pharmacy in the lower 48! They blame anyone and everyone for not putting orders in. Don't expect your prescription to be filled in a timely manner. Terrible

Prescription not ready when I arrived. No display of empathy when I explained I drove across town to pick up the rx. Was told I would have to wait or come back. Not sure how hard it is to put a few pills in a bottle but it must be rocket science

Had been seen at urgent care in north Ames found out I had bronchitis, went straight to the pharmacy and they had just closed. Honestly I don’t know weather to be mad at my doctor or the pharmacy for their lack of help. Should have just went to CVS

This pharmacy is the place I received my first COVID-19 Vaccine and I'm so appreciative for their help and support! The staff were wonderful and friendly, Judy the person who administered the Vaccine was so kind and helpful, and I'm just so grateful for this!Thank you to Hy-Vee in Ames for getting me this Vaccine and for keeping ourselves safe!😁💉

Should probably change there’s hours on sundays to “closes 5 minutes before we say we’re going to”. Yes I could have come a little bit more before they were closing - unfortunately due to prior commitments I could. At 4:54 I pulled into the drive up and sat for 4 minutes - hitting the call button twice before hightailing it inside to try and pick up a prescription - only to have them close the gate and not even acknowledge my presence.Pretty disappointed especially since I have always LOVED this hyvee. :(
