Such a well-kept Hy-Vee grocery store. Beautiful, clean displays. Tons of options! Make fresh sushi daily, has an awesome candy selection, attached liquor store...honestly, anything you can think of is provided at this location.

Updated postThe food service manager contacted me and asked me about my experience at Hy-Vee and why I had scored our visit so low. She apologized profusely not only did she give us our money back but she gave me double our money back! We went back again and had the best meal the best service that we could have asked for everybody has an off day I would most certainly recommend Heidi's deli for anything especially their fried chicken!!Hands down THE WORST dinner I've had in ages! Beef and broccoli that tasted old and reheat d and General chicken with hair in it....thank you HyVee for killing my appetite and my $20. What about the 2entree deals you had online? They don't count? Thanks again

Just visited this HyVee recently, my first grocery place since i came to US in 1998. I got teary when i walked in, so many memories i had in this exact location. Thank you for the memories HyVee and thank you for looking so good now!

Hy-Vee is our go to during our travels. We not only do groceries, but many times do take out do to the extensive and very delicious food options.

Great store definitely feel like they have more variety of things then west side hyvee. Wish they had a bigger one up here like one of the bigger ones in Des Moines. Overall we have two decent hyvees up here.

I do not like self-checkout I tried to pay with cash it would not take $100 bill I went over to a young lady on a checkout line she refused to take my hundred dollar bill this was the 4th Street South in Ames Hy-Vee this world is going cashless some of us still choose to use cash it's an American currency and still needs to be accepted it is something that will pay American debts it is still a current form of payment it needs to be accepted and that is all I have to say about that and I don't appreciate the fact that you hire people that cannot count money back from 100.00 bills money back from 100.00 Bill it's not that hard

Another grocery store that decided to fire a bunch of people so they could save some money. It would have been nice if they were open for the people that needed them. It's not a coincidence Hy-Vee followed Walmart.

Always has good sales or coupon items, which draw me in. Every year for Valentine's Day I find the Brach's cinnamon jelly hearts there!

Extremely plentiful grocery store, if you can't find a product here, it may not be available anywhere. In addition to food products, there is a pharmacy, connected liquor store, and a Wahlberg restaurant onsite.The associates are extremely helpful and friendly. The cleanliness of the store was wonderful. Parking is plentiful.

I just wanted to thank the super super sweet girl who made my drinks today at the east hyvee Starbucks. She deserves a raise for being so cool and nice and making the best dragon fruit drinks! Definitely made my day :)

An hour behind on hyvee aisles online pickup and others got helped before me as they arrived later than I did. They told me they were a little behind... but 1 HOUR?! Its a good thing I had that time to waste sitting in the lot. I even ordered 24 hours in advance to assure they had time to get my order ready... which was 3 small bags.NOT doing this again.Update: didn't even get half my order!Update again: Manager was super nice and I am very appreciative of him handling the situation.

Seems like a very toxic environment. Managers are rude and dismissive and quite frankly just seem to have an attitude problem. I have never had this thought about any other grocery store but it’s apparent just from shopping that this store doesn’t know how to treat people and its coming from the top down. Very sad!

AT LIncoln HyVee. In line and was getting last of groceries out when cashier behind me suddenly began leaving her spot, and quickly bumping into me swiftly said excuse me while .my head hit window at counter. Very rude, no apology. I will watch and make sure I never get into her line.

EDIT: 2 Years after my first review. Dropped ANOTHER star.. all the same reasons.I've dropped a star for several reasons: the Aisles Online shoppers love to shove past you in a busy store, they rarely complete a list and/or substitutions as well as Instacart shoppers. I'm almost never able to fully complete shopping online or in person due to short inventory (used to be great), and while self checkout is sometimes handy, if you're going to staff that light on front end help, I want a discount for doing it myself.
