We have been in the drive thru for 20 minutes and there is a car in front of us that has been there for about 30 to 40 minutes and my family and I we just ordered one small shake, one small blizzard, and a fountain drink this is absolutely ridiculous. The car ahead of us left without getting their food or anything. Pathetic Dairy Queen. Other Dairy Queen goes faster with getting us food or ice cream

Went through the drive up for 2 large blizzards, placed my order and proceeded to wait about 10 minutes. 3 cars ahead, not moving. No one behind me so I thought I’d just go in and grab them. I was sure they probably had them ready by now. I go in and said hey I was in the driveThrough but the line wasn’t moving so I thought I’d come in and grab the blizzards. I’m met with snooty attitude, refusal to serve me, and told I have to wait my turn. I’m like whatever… proceeded to wait and be ignored, then when my “turn” came up, she blinked excessively and said my total. I handed her my card as I was ready to go.. she TURNS AROUND. Grabs them all ready made from the freezer and hands them to me. Basically made me wait to feel in control of something but she was unreasonably out of line with her attitude and unwilling to provide customer service. She could have just said “oh that’s fine, we already have them made anyways. I’ll grab your total”. Nope. 👎🏼 miserable employees with desperate need of attitude adjustments. I would give 0 ⭐️ if I could.

Service was nice and friendly. My daughter's chicken strips taste pretty good but when I bit into my burger I got a mouthful of raw meat. It's pink and definitely undercooked. I also got a mango slushie and it's way too sweet. It doesn't taste like mango. It's a mouthful of pure sugar. Very disappointed. I had to eat something else when I got home because my meal wasn't any good.

To be up front, the highest I would give any DQ is a 3. I have been to this particular store a few times over about 5 years. It's never been great. It's not the cleanest, they are typically slow (we spent over 20 minutes in the drive through and there were only 3 cars ahead of us), and on this particular visit I got about 5 spoons into my blizzard when I had to pull a hair out of my mouth (see these picture). I looked and there was another one sticking up waiting to be eaten. I threw the rest of it away.

We went on a Sunday around supper time. Place was fairly empty in the dinning area and the atmosphere showed just as much. There was no energy there. The workers, albeit probably high schoolers had no energy to show. Had the atmosphere of a dying restaurant. The prices did not match the quality of the food at all. Really sad to see such a giant in my childhood fall so far from grace.

Great service and excellent food. Meal was hot and delicious. There are 2 young girls who are working and they are hustling and doing a great job keeping up. Friendly and fast service!

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!Food was awful! I can’t believe how bad this place has gotten. I used to come here all the time because the food was fresh and the staff was friendly, but that’s not the case anymore.I got the pork loin sandwich, which was bland beyond belief, cold, and the worst part was the onions. They were completely green and not even remotely ready to be served. They were stringy and utterly raw. I used to love the onions and the sandwich in general, and was shocked to bite in and taste a disgusting green onion.I also got cheese balls which used to be my favorite item on the menu. I was beyond disappointed to find them cold, overpriced and worst of all: completely bland.The woman working the drive thru window was rude and sarcastic when I asked her about the new item; the flamethrower. I remember when the staff used to be very nice and pleasant.Overall I couldn’t believe how this place has changed. I certainly won’t be trying this place again unless they make serious changes. Waste of money for overpriced, nasty food. I will be letting my friends and family to stay from this place.Thoroughly disappointing experience!

Always takes a minute to get your ice cream. It seems the prices are getting higher but the quantity of food is getting smaller. Every time I get the same thing it's always different either I have to pay for a sauce or you get one free or they don't give you the bread that comes with the basket or you get your food put in a box one time or in a fry container the next.Dietary restrictions: They have nothing for lacto intolerant people which is pretty disappointing

I went through the drive through on a motorcycle and kindly asked them for everything in a to go bag or box. Got to the window and they tried handing me the drinks with no lids or bag. I kindly asked again for a bag. they took a few minutes but put it all in a bag, then tried giving me the chicken tenders on a styrofoam plate. I asked AGAIN for it to be in a bag. A few minutes later I get a bag, and everything is dumped into two cups, way too overfilled, but I feel too bad to ask them to rebag it in a simpler way, so I leave and it immediately breaks through the bottom and half my meal spills. I give up, this is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Dairy Queen.

My grandson talked me into getting the app.The weekly deals were great for us. Keyword, were. Unfortunately after using the app for awhile, it stopped sending the weekly deals & couldn't sign in. We don't go very much now.

I tasted different types of ice creams, blizzards and cheeseburgers here. Loved almost everything here. Also the ice cream cakes are really good. One more good thing is it is open upto 10.30 at night. One can get a meal here also at a very low price. The behavior of the staffs are good.

Delicious treats. My kids love the chicken strips, my hubby and I prefer the cheese burger 😀. Best part... you can have a whole meal and dessert for a good price. 😃

Unable to order inside and read the menu items and prices. Drive thru was open, but not able to understand the menu, therefore it was difficult to order. For the 2 of us, it cost $37.17. I was shocked!

The ice cream and food have always been good in our experience! The staff is very nice and they are quick with their service to get you your order! I would recommend this location in Ames over the other locations when looking for a DQ

Bit overpriced and underwhelming. Only way it is worth it is to get coupons. I'm not a penny pincher, but when they have a 10% + markup on even their own web prices and the sizes seem to shrink all the time...I bought my own blender and items, mainly because the customer service is equally as non-personal.

I have to rate 4 stars , cause bathroom was gross, floor looked like it hasn't been clean in years with dried up pee all over the bottom of toilet. Paper towel on floor. Smelled ugly. Pick up paper towels and left vent fan on, on way out. The rest of store looked alright. I ordered two large drinks and it was $5.33 yikes.

Payed for a 6 piece to share with my toddle and only got a 3 piece. If I wanted a 3 piece I would have payed for the 5$ lunch box... not pay for the more expensive meal to get ripped off!
