Brekkes Town and Country is not only a great place to get your animal supplies, it is a place where the staff is extremely knowledgeable about animal needs. Brekkes Town and Country is also a place with extremely friendly and kind staff. When I go in to get my supplies, it is like going home. Everyone knows you and what I normally get (especially when I forget what kind of cat food I normally get). Brekkes Town and Country is the place to be!!

Every time I go here, they are just absolutely amazing. The Friendliness of everyone there is outstanding. They're always so welcoming and super friendly. I spilled Guinea Pig Food in my trunk this week, and Mr. Brekke came outside just to help me clean it up. He even offered me another bag of food to replace it. I didn't spill enough to justify taking it but the simple fact that he not only helped but offered another bag was awesome. I will always recommend this store and shop here for my pets necessities.

Great location for farm animal needs. Chicken seed, dog food, cat food, wild bird seed, just about everything. Fantastic options. Privately owned, which really comes through in the helpful and cheerful service. Don't know anything about options outside of what I mentioned. I would only assume them to be equally great. Final, the product will be brought to your vehicle, making this a 10 out of 10.

I really like a lot of my bulk items they can order and at a reasonable price. I have also started buying a few of my dog foods in large bags at a reasonable price. I am however a bit disappointed in the cat food options. I spent a good amount on a cat food only to find out a cheaper and larger bag at Walmart was better food.

I've only been here to shop for grain but I can't believe how nice everyone is! Super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. It's very genuine too, it doesn't seem like a retail store with fake niceness. I only wish they carried crickets! I hate going to Petco.

From dog or cat food to your yard needs there always there to help full of the expertise and want to make sure you get exactly what your looking for. Also if they don't have but can get they will order it for you.

This family owned store is more than a farm animal feed store, Brekke's Town and Country has products (food, toys, snacks, bully sticks...) for my dogs and cats plus small animals (exotic or common) and birds. Soon I will get my seeds for my garden and yard and baby chicks ordered!!! The great thing is, if they don't have what I am looking for, I ask and many times they order it! I will go to Brekke's Town and Country before any Theisens or Fleet Farm Store and my puppy agrees!!!

The staff are very kind and helpful. The prices are less than similar pet stores in the area for dog and cat items. You cannot beat free popcorn, either.

Ever since I found out about Brekke's, I've been a fan. We've been customers for almost 10 years. They are the only ones in ames who carry our preferred size of cat food bag. We are getting a puppy soon, and they're willing to work with us to hopefully get us our preferred puppy food for one of the brands they carry. No one else in Ames carries the food we want, and we love that Brekke's is willing to order this for us!

Ever since I discovered Brekke's - nothing else compares. Service is always so helpful & friendly. They are HAPPY to discuss nutrition and the right kibble choices for you pets. They are one of the ONLY places that carries holistic dog food, and great treats & toys too! WAYYY better than petco or petsmart - it's the difference the great people make!
