This RV park is perfect for every aspect of hosting events. This is my 3rd year hosting a Winnebago Compact Coach Meetups event here, and we'll be coming back. They have several buildings to reserve (dependent upon what size you need and their availability) with basics like table/chairs, trash cans, fridge/freezers, stoves, etc. provided. All of the park staff goes over/above to help hosts, for instance giving me access to our event building a day early since it happened to be unused that day. They are AWESOME!For the ratings/comments talking about the RV sites -- you need to adjust your expectations. This is what it is... A nice flat Iowa property (that was probably a corn field in days gone by) setup to optimize the number of RVs that can have FHU sites to attend events. It's also a fine RV Park to overnight for a few days, but it's NOT like a state park with lots of trees (although it does have some) and big spaces between RV sites. And yes if you're the first one to get to a site two-fer then you can pull through but otherwise you have to back-in as RV sites are back to back and you're relatively close to the one next to you as the electric pole serves 4 RV sites. Works especially GREAT for events. :-)

We stopped at the Amana RV park on our first trip out in our RV. It was perfection! From check-in to check out, we were treated so well. The facilities are immaculately, clean and well lit. Since we are new to RVing, Marv drove us directly to our site and helped us set up. He also taught us how to “dump” and drove us back to our site. You just can’t ask for this kind of hospitality. We highly recommend Amana RV park!

Nice big open spots, clean and well maintained grassy area. Plenty of room for big rigs. A bit far from the freeway but easy to get to.Town was a huge disappointment but would stay at the RV campground againNearby activities: Amana colonies are very near. Mostly very commercial. gift and food shops not authentic, lots of made in China gifts. Highly overpriced

We were attending a FROG meet up at this campground and to join in on the Octoberfest in Amana. The campgrounds itself was not perfect. Our site had issues with the septic system and we had to move to another site, the say before we were leaving. I agree that the closeness of the site were rather strange, but I researched the sites and already knew that. I didn't mind the back to back and felt bad for the ones stuck on our business side. Overall it was our base camp. We would go back. Only if we can pick our site.Nearby activities: Amana Colony was a bike ride away. Super close.

We stayed here for a week while attending an RV rally. There are 3 entrances to the park; in most cases you'll enter through Gate 2, which leads to the office building. We checked in, received a campground map as well as a book of coupons for the shops in Amana, and were guided to our site. The campground is laid out in a grid pattern. Most of the roads are gravel. Most of the RV sites are back-to-back back-ins with no divider in-between, so if the spot behind you is empty you'll be able to pull through. The sites are also arranged in groups of four, with a large amount of space between each group. So if you're lucky enough to be in the left site of the two facing the same direction, your driver-side neighbor will be close but you'll have a sizeable front yard. All of the hookups are in the back: you have your own sewer hookup, but the power pole is shared with your next-door neighbor and all four sites attach to individual spigots at the water hookup. All of the sites are pretty long, with gravel pads, grass yards, and picnic tables. A limited number of fire rings are available upon request, first-come, first-served. There are some trees but most sites are open to the skies. Our site (L14) was nice and level. There are a few amenities outside of the event buildings. There is one easy to overlook swing set for kids, and one set of cans for recyclables besides one of the several dumpsters scattered throughout the park. They have a propane refill station that large rigs can easily drive up to, though refills weren't available during our stay. Bags of ice are sold at the office, and there is a small laundry room and library in the small community building. The event buildings have bathrooms accessible from the outside, and one also has showers though I didn't personally see them. The building we used for our rally, the Pioneer building, has a large collection of collapsible chairs and tables as well as a kitchen area with a fridge. There are no enclosed dog parks, but there is plenty of open grass space to walk dogs on-leash.In terms of cell service, I saw speeds of 194Mbps down and 27Mbps up on my Verizon hotspot with MIMO antenna, so we had no trouble streaming video. The speed test on my 5G AT&T phone showed 96Mbps down and 8 up.We would stay here again if we were in the area.

Well, the description states it is the #1 RV Park in Iowa….so, so WRONG!!It’s large but that’s it. The sites are back-in two campers back to back which is HORRIBLE! Had our door opening 2ft from neighbors sewer. Sites can be deceptively unlevel, mostly grass sites. We will never come back here. The only reason we stayed this time was for a FROG Rally.

I am from Ontario Canada and my 1st time here, Iowa has so far been wonderful to visit. In site P-15 it was a long way to walk to the Monroe building for public shower and the laundry area. I have a class C and no vehicle, l therefore had to carry everything in hands.I wish I could have had a quiet site near the back which is by the Monroe building. The staff are amazing and so friendly and supportive. A special Thank you to Julie, Keith and Lisa. I hope to return again.

Comfortable and clean quarters for a family event. We went to the facility on the northeast corner of the campus. Adequate parking. Plenty of room to sit and eat with tables and chairs. Lovely setting to walk around. Lots of bird life!Stove works. And the Amanas are a place we love to visit.Disadvantages: only one sink in the kitchen area. This creates a bottleneck when cleaning up after a very large family meal, we're talking 65 to 70 people for our gathering. Precious little counter space and what there is is not adjacent to the sink. Unhandy. Keep that in mind when planning something like a family reunion or event if you're doing your own catering.Could use more restrooms in the building. There are two individual bathrooms, and one doesn't lock, which is adjacent to the one kitchen sink. So while cleaning up, people were coming and going to use the bathroom.Overall, our group was happy with the facility. It would be wonderful if the management could rearrange the kitchen area to be more accommodating to a crowd that likes to cook and cleans up good.Safety: We felt very safe.Walkability: Okay to walk around the venue. Too far to walk to a grocery store etc.

This is the perfect location for an RV Rally! The park itself offers plenty of 30/50 amp full hook up sites, well maintained air conditioned buildings and an exceptional and responsive staff. Their experience with hosting staff allows them to connect coordinators to community resource that enhance the success of your rally including the Amana Historical Society, Amana Visitors Center, Amana Farms and all the local welcoming businesses and restaurants in the Seven Colonies! I cannot recommend them highly enough.Nearby activities: Exceptional golf course, walking trails, shops, restaurants all within a couple miles. Van tours of the colonies are highly recommended. Easy drive to museums in Cedar Rapids, Field of Dreams Movie set and Dyersville attractions, University of Iowa, Matchstick Marvel, Devonian Fossil Gorge and much more!Safety: Very low crime rate.Walkability: Walking trails adjacent to the parkNoteworthy details: Convenient access to the Historic Amana Colonies, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City

This was a nice place. Clean and peaceful plus pet friendly. We had a firepit and picnic table at the site when we arrived and were placed near friends upon request. We purchased wood and ice right from the registration office. The wood was cheaper there than at Casey's down the road. Loved that we were right down the road from the event we were going to. Nice area to visit.Noteworthy details: Pet friendly and no excessive constant barking even though there were a bunch of dogs there.Clean and stocked bathrooms plus showers available.Little library type thing going on in community building.Meeting/event spaces available.Walking path down the road a short distance.

Clean spacious Rv park with multiple amenities available for large events etc. Sites are level and long but are back to back and gravel. Make sure you have long water hose. Sites are pretty plain without concrete patio but grass is well maintained. Laundry room is equipped with top notch washers and dryers. Staff is kind, friendly, and visible. We lost power briefly but was restored within 30 min. Wi-Fi is basic but upgrade is available for purchase. Our Verizon worked great for cell and streaming.

Stop there for just one night and great site, kind reception and well maintined campground. A bit disappointed that showers were closed for unknown reasons (an event was in preparation I think). Close enough to walk to visit the local Amana museum but it was horribly hot, nothing that the campground can do about though! We were in transit but we could have stayed there longer. I recommend a stop there.

We had camped at a state park that we didn't realize does not have an RV dump station. We were able to pay a small service charge ($5) and use the one at the Amana RV park. Hopefully, we are never in the situation again, but it's good to know you can stop at Amana and use theirs.

The park itself gets 5 stars. The reason for 4 stars is the entrance road. You need to drive very slow. We're in a 5th wheel and there was a lot of Huckle Buckling ( that's the wife's saying). We slow to 10 mph. The road is about 1/4 mile long.OK, now for the good stuff. Staff was great. Large level lots with gravel drive and well keep grass sites. Roads inside the park were well maintained gravel.

Large RV sites with full hook ups. Laundry room and showers centrally located. Friendly helpful staff. Room rating reflects RV site.Nearby activities: There is lots to see in Amana. We go for Oktoberfest. It's always a great experience. Center offers free shuttle service to town during the festival. Near Amish communities for additional exploring.

Great place to stay when in the area! Camp hosts are very nice and the grounds are constantly being kept up. Lots of events going on here and in a great location! We stayed a little over a month and will be back I am sure! Starlink worked great, and 4g was good. All hookups worked perfectly also.

Amazing place rv spot in Iowa! We've been living full time for a bit now and this place is an absolute hidden gem. The nicest owners, workers and people around at this park.We booked a layover night while getting to the east coast and expected nothing more than hookups and a place to sleep. What we found was a beautiful, green amazing place to enjoy a night. We didn't have a 30 -> 50 amp adapter. One was happily loaned to us no charge and we had a great night. If you need a place to stay for a night or a month. I'd recommend this place hands down. Keep doing what you're doing ya'll!

We camped here for three nights, the perfect place to be if you plan on visiting the close by Amana Colonies. Check in was a breeze with the very helpful and friendly staff. We were escorted to our site, all of which are full hookup with 50 amp service (bring a 30 to 50 amp dog bone to hook up, they have some available if you forget yours), back in on label gravel pads with picnic table, fire pit and free fire wood available at a central location. There are large trees scattered about the campground and the access roads are gravel and wide. Large grass area between the sites. They have a nice laundry facility.

Always something to do and close to town. There's a lily pond and hiking trail within walking distance (no bathrooms, have to go back to campground). A Casey's is also very close for ice, gas, etc. Town shops close up at 5 pm, so go early. They had things going on at the campground too (concert, etc) and have a library that the kids loved. The bathrooms and showers were clean and big. The camper spaces were long and big so we weren't squished. Plenty of dumpsters within walking distance (maybe 10-20 ft to your right or left).Only "downside" was when we went to the lake about 30 mins away, but it's NOT a beach. There's a tiny sandbar and boat launch. The lake is not deep AT ALL and is sludge at the bottom. We fell off our jet skis at one point and were able to stand up and get back on. Careful to stay in the VERY center of the lake and don't go too far down either end.Would definitely go again and happy we spent our 4th here!

Update 05.08.2023These folks are always so accommodating. Thanks for that. Place was good as always. Stayed just a couple nights this time as we are on our way home. Will be back in September. Didn't get bugged by the little flies so much this time. Which was nice but didn't spend a lot of time at the campsite this time. Nice tv reception. No cable needed. Nor satellite. Level lot. Water pressure good. Easy in and out for big rigs. Ours is 44 ft and flat tow.Update 10/4/22: nice place would go again! Enjoyed ourselves.Update: still LOTS of flies. Flat and easy to park. Again folks there nice. Huge place. Not next shade but yes are growing. Very convenient to the village.Folks there very nice. Grass pads. No pull through.. but if no one else is in the space before you, you can pull thru to the one you are assigned. Lots of flies and little gnats.

What an incredible facility and staff. This was our first time visiting this park and we’ll definitely be back.First, I need to express our sincere gratitude to facility hosts, Guy and Sue. My wife and I had planned on spending 5 days at the park and then returning to Sioux Falls. We had towed our motorcycle behind the motorhome because it’s a great area to tour around on a motorcycle. Unfortunately, my wife suddenly became ill and had to be transported to the University of Iowa medical center via ambulance. Of course motorcycles are not well suited for this job. Because deer are so plentiful in the area, and the hospital was about 20 miles away, suddenly Guy and Sue show up to drive me to the hospital in their personal vehicle. How’s that for customer service ???Not wanting to inconvenience Guy and Sue further, I took Uber back to the campground and then arranged for a rental car. My wife ended up spending 6 days at the medical center, during which time other park hosts, Maureen, Jessica, and manager Jamie, worked with me to ensure I could retain my current site in the campground, and would be able to stay as long as we needed until my wife was discharged. What a wonderful group of people, and if I forgot anyone, it was purely accidental and I sincerely apologize. If you are every planning a visit to the Amana Colonies, be sure to look up these kind folks and spend a few days there. There’s plenty of wonderful things to see in the area, and plenty of great food to try.
