amazon returns. Customer service was rather mediocre and slow. More customer service training needed to ensure a flawless return.The older customer service lady at rhe front was short and was not friendly. To be at the front of the company, total customer service is a must.

I have shopped here since it opened. I've never had a bad experience. Today (Easter Sunday) I needed to return an Amazon package and buy a computer. I looked at computers for all of 5 seconds when a guy came to ask if I needed help. I did, he helped and my Amazon return took about a minute. Great service and thank you to the computer guy. Apologies for not getting his name.

I had an horrible UPS drop off to accomplish with giant boxes nearing shipping limits; but they were packed and ready. One of the employees saw the struggle and immediately got things scanned, moved, and lined up all without interrupting all of the other customers' business in line.This is the Staples service I remember.

Made Amazon return much less effective.1. They used to scan the code and take the product to package up when there wasn't a line of people in the que. It was very efficient.2. Now they have you stand there. Place all loose items in separate bags, seal, scan scan scan.Package boxed items in boxes and scan, scan, scanAll the while, the line backs up.I think you need to revamp your process.

I need a Canon CLI-226 Cyan ink cartridge. Always bought at Staples before. This time they are out of stock. How nice, though, there's a sign on the wall that says:"Always in stock. Find your ink or toner or get $10 off and free shipping."So I asked an employee how to get that deal. He simply said, "That doesn't apply to the cartridge you want." And he walked away. Huh? What a scam. Will not purchase my printer ink at Staples anymore after that stunt. Amazon is cheaper anyway.

Was here to return an Amazon delivery and had the most rude and unhelpful associates. Will never come back. Date was September 30, 2023 Time was 3:45 PM so hopefully management can track the experience. The guy who was on his phone in the printing center wearing the wire in his ear was by far the main reason I’ll never come back. Bryce was just not very helpful.

Worst experience in 20 years. Ask for help printing something off my phone. Rude lady told me just go there and follow the instructions.No instructions to follow for what I needed, she was upset I ask again, walked over to printer, said " here on these cards" me, " oh the ones way in the corner covered by paper!I finally got it to word but the shipping label as it printed split the bar code tracking #, I ask for help again , was basically told to figure it out as she walked away.Also the whole time I was there she had food in her month and was chewing it as we talked.Won't ever come again.She is the poster child of why you can't get good help anymore

I only use this store for its 'UPS Drop-Off' location. So my rating is based just on a very limited amount of time spent in other areas of the store.Everytime I have been in to drop off a package, the employees have always been very friendly and helpful. They always knew exactly what they were doing. I've very rarely had to wait more than 2 or 3 minutes while another customer was being helped. I'm usually in and out super quick, its a very convenient location and great staff.

WOW. A lot can change in 5 years. The store used to be messy and the customer service was terrible, I thought. NOW, they greeted me when I came in, they had everything I needed and the print services are phenomenal. If you have something to prin, I highly suggest that you use this store and ask for Mary Ann, she knows what she's doing and went above and beyond to help me

I went to recycle my laptop and it literally took 20 minutes, the staff had no idea of the process and each person had to ask someone else. One person told me that I get $10 in rewards for recycling but in order to get the $10 i needed to sign up for the rewards program. I signed up and come to find out there is no reward. Horrible service, the guy helping me was brand new and the other staff watched him suffer. Will never go there again!

Spent $10 on copies because the lady assumed I wanted color. Was rude when we requested same day printing and it took less than 5 minutes... Probably wont be returning honestly. Incredibly off putting that I had to pay so much for something I didnt ask for.

OMG I love this place!! Just stopped in for a peek at some art stuff for my daughter and was welcomed as soon as I entered. Then was even walked to the aisle I needed and he was very friendly and gave me his opinion on this and that. Then I found so much more lol. Miranda was one of the best customer service people I've come across in a long time. Everyone there was great but she truly made my experience amazing. She went above and beyond and I honestly will stop in there Everytime I'm in the area just to see her smiling face. Thank you Miranda for going out of your way. Staples don't let her go she is a huge asset. And this Staples store smaller or not has some of the nicest people working there and definitely worth shopping at.

I wish i could give it 0 stars. Worst service ever.. or i really can't say service because there was NONE!!! I drove to the store after getting an email saying my print are done. Third time this week i have gotten there and been treated horribly by a lady working the printing area. Dark hair, very dark complexion. She is extremely rude and has looked so miserable every time i have been there. I called the staples to make a compaint and the lady was not sorry at all and laughed about the matter. I will NEVER set my foot in any staples again. Very disappointed. Will be supporting local printing businesses from now on.

Try to make a copy of my document paper help by name Johnson wasn’t sure what her name was over charge and she know it’ but she didn’t fix the problem and still charge !!! And all she said was sorry And we count through all the paper but didn’t count the one was messed up on printing how would she know the price was right ‘ four months ago I did the same amount of printing it only cost six dollars and some change this time it cost me $24 and some change .

Don’t go into this empty store without a mask. The staff is so bored since they have no customers they will follow you and cause a scene to put on a mask. If you don’t comply with them they will call the police, and waste our tax money. They are also way overpriced it’s no wonder the store was empty.

Worst Staples ever! I've been there before and have asked if I could email them a document and have them print it. They do it, but act like it's a big hassle.This afternoon I asked Petra for help..Could I email a one page document and print it here. Her reply.....I can't do it because there are several orders ahead of yours and you just can't push your way to the front. My reply...okay I'll come back later. Petra....I won't be able to do itthen either. Bottom line they don't want your business or their jobs.Hy-Vee did it!! Thanks Hy-Vee for being awesome!

I absolutely love Staples and their selection of unique office supplies. This location had less of a selection than the other one in the area. They had a whole aisle of phone cases.. for iPhones only. Really didn't appreciate the favoritism there, especially when they carry charging cords for Android products.

Received horrible service at Altoona location. Asked employee for product. He said there was 2 somewhere in the store but he did not want to look for it. So I should buy online and have shipped to me. Asked if I could buy online and do the pick up in 2 hours deal. He said that would not work. Horrible. Definitely go to Ankeny if you need anything. That location has employees that know what they are doing.

I just want to say the true. I went to staples in altoona make some copies. I saw the ladies have black long hair, she look like mexican and working at the copy center, she is not nice service with customers. one of customers asked her for help. she did not talk back or answer to customer, and other people waiting for her to help but she didn't say anything.I also had been waiting 15 minutes but no body come to help,Any time I came staples I seen her unhappy service with customers.I don't recommend anyone come to her for help. I want staples Management need talk with her about customers service or let's her go take classes forbcustomers service.Thank you to read my message.

Called the Ankeny Staples, they were out of laminate. Went to Merle Hay, out of laminate. Asked what it would cost to get a poster laminated and how long it would take. Told me it'd take a day and I could pick it up the next day... Went to the Altoona store, told me the poster would be a day long wait once again.It takes literally 30-60 seconds to laminate something. You wipe the poster off with a dry microfiber to ensure there's no dust on it, then you put it in the machine which automatically laminates it for you. Apparently that takes an entire day at Staples. Not at all impressed with the service at the Merle Hay, or Altoona stores and won't be bringing my business to either one anytime in the near future.

Tried taking back ink cartridges for recycling and they had no sign on their door stating that they wouldn't take any back due to the pandemic. When I asked why no sign they said it was on their website. We return cartridges each month, we shouldn't have to check the website each time before we return items.

I am a big believer in customer service. It should be something that is fairly simple and not much to ask in an employee. This store does not provide good customer service which is very disappointing. Will not be returning to this Staples in the future.

Don't ever go here!!! Horrible customer service! I was the only one in the store and I needed 9 sheets of paper copied. They told me I would either have to wait an hour or be charged a "rush" fee. Obviously, they exist to serve corporate bureaucracy, not customers...
