We love Dr. Jeff and the techs! We currently have three pets overseen by them and it has always been a great experience. Even when our older dog started having health complications, Dr. Jeff cared so deeply about getting it figured out. He was great at explaining everything he was doing and prescribing. When it extended beyond his expertise and procedures, he gave us a referral to an amazing clinic. He continued to check in on our dog to see how things were going. He has done a dog neuter and cat spay for our animals and everything went great! I'd say pricing is decent and they have been flexible with us when we need to break up payments.

Staying at the campground near the vet clinic and thought I would get my dogs nails trimmed. Figured a small town vet would be good but he made 6 or her nails bleed. I could have done that for free myself

Dr. Jeff is great! He is always straightforward about what is needed. We live in Omaha but still bring our dogs here because the staff are always a delight and the prices are affordable.

Called last Saturday and made the hard decision to have my oldest baby put to sleep. My husband and I took him down and Dr Jeff was the best! He was polite, caring and very sympathetic to our situation and feelings. Not only was he comforting to my husband who was so attached to our cat he was also comforting to my baby and stroked and petted him him through it all. Thank you again for helping us to do what we knew needed to be done ~Otis

If I could give 0 stars I would. Brought a cat here because our usual clinic was booked full and we needed to get a feral cat neutered. It’s 1 of many cats we’ve gotten neutered and spayed- so I guess you could say we know exactly what to expect bringing them home.Well we brought our cat here and he came home practically comatose, stiff, couldn’t eat/drink for 3 days. He was COVERED in urine. I mean COVERED. I could NOT believe how terrible his condition was for a simple neutering. In all my years of dealing with getting cats spayed or neutered I have NEVER experienced such a horrific sight. Never going back ever again and warning everyone I know to never bring their pets there for any sort of surgery. It was shocking and the sight of this poor cat is ingrained into my brain. We honestly thought he was dead for the first 24 hours as we tried to clean and warm him up. The office called a few days after the procedure and laughed off the situation

First time coming here and I felt the vibe that all they wanted to do is help my Pug out and see what was wrong with him. I was given medicine and to top it off was so convenient for my budget. Thank you Akron Vet Clinic for Helping me get my Pug medical attention. Will definitely be changing vets and definitely recommending.

Went in and got our kitten fixed and basic shots. Was overall a pleasant visit they just are not very good at communicating we had set an appointment weeks ahead of time but couldn't be found in the computer log. They were still able to fit us in which was great because the kitten is getting close to the "spraying age" and we really needed it done soon. When it was all said and done the vet gave us directions on how to take care of him for a few days and the they used glue instead of stitches and that there would be no follow up. Then 3 days later we get a call saying our follow up appointment to get his stitches removed is in 2 weeks. 😂

Would give them zero stars if that were an option. Brought our cat in for neutering, shots, deworming (we Rescued him). Brought him home, he never came completely out of the sedative. Vomiting and diarrhea with blood in it.. No answering machine to leave a message. Took him to the emergency pet hospital in S.F. He went into a seizure. Vet said he was critical. Had him put to sleep so he wouldn't suffer. Should not have happened after a simple neutering.Their vet 'services' are irresponsible at best. To not have even an emergency phone messaging service set up is bad medicine, and heartless. If you value quality care for your animals, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE.

Everyone was very nice and even with the pandemic they took the time to give excellent customer service and took great care of our pups. Their price are also more than affordable! They have definitely made a new customer!

I have learned over time that this vet is fine for farm animals and basic stuff for cats like shots, but he is not good with administering anesthesia to cats. Two of my cats died during surgery at the Akron clinic, and I have never taken my pets there for any kind of surgery again. Please take seriously the posts here warning about cats having serious problems after surgery. Dr. Jeff needs re-training on how to give anesthesia to small animals.

I've taken both my cats here for routine checkups, shots, and spay/neuter. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Van't Hof has always been up to speed on my cats' history, and even some of my personal details that we've talked about. I would definitely recommend this clinic!

The best vet in the area in my opinion, have always given great care to my animals. Can usually get you in very quickly and are by far more affordable than other options in the Siouxland area. Added bonus of attending to large livestock type animals.

Absolutely the best care I could of asked for! Katlyn was amazing with my Gemma! Also they were the only vet that would see our puppy after hours.... everyone else told us that since she hadn't been seen at their clinic they wouldn't do an emergency visit for her...... thank you again akron veterinary you guys are amazing!

The staff was very rude. Didn’t seem to care about the animals. I came here to pick up my cremated cat, and they lost the remains. They only seem to be friendly with other staff, but none of their customers. Plus when I walked in, the smell was horrendous and they were doing nothing to make it smell any better.

Outdated knowledge on dogs and cats. They spay and neuter dogs and cats too early, compared to any other vet in the area. They specialize as farm vets, not household pets.
