We recently stayed at this KOA for a week, attracted by its good reviews, spacious sites, and ample amenities including a dog park, playground, and laundry facilities. However, one morning, our LEASHED dog was attacked by a rogue dog from the neighboring area that wandered onto the campground. The attack was unprovoked and left our dog anxious the rest of our stay. Shockingly, when we reported this incident to the campground office, their response was both casual and insensitive. They acknowledged the aggressive dog, describing it as "Oh yeah, the orange one that looks like an Akita? He's a neighbor's dog that sometimes wanders over here," and admitted it was a recurring issue.Plus, the absolute lack of follow-up or any semblance of concern from the owner of the KOA was disappointing. There was no follow-up, no attempt to rectify the situation, or even the basic courtesy of checking in on us (and our pet) after the incident.

We love coming here. We try to come at least once every year! We absolutely love it! The cabins and campgrounds are very clean and the staff is always amazing! If you go, try their pizza at least once, so food and not frozen! Also, try their ice cream! It’s the best! This campground is so kid friendly. They seem to always have deals going on. It’s so worth it!

Beautifully, well maintained campground. Staff was wonderful. Pizza and wings were great too. We were in site 122 which was a corner patio site and was huge! One of the nicest patio sites we've stayed in. Large enough for our 42 foot fifth wheel and toe vehicle. Lots of activities, nice lake for fishing. Pool was nice, just a little small.Nearby activities: John Wayne museumBridges of Madison CountyRaccoon River Valley bike trail

I have stayed at this location 3 or 4 times over the past two summers. It’s always great! I sleep in the bed of my truck on cross country road trips. So, the cheap and safe option is awesome! The tent sites keep improving too!Pizza on site that is delivered to your camp spot is awesome!Immaculate service with a smile as well!

Second overnight for us, clean and handy o Highway. KOA, ya know what you are getting.Tight sites with amenities, pool was refreshing and clean. We used laundry BUTon one machine was usable because of smells in both washer and dryers. Little vinegar goes long way😉People are super nice, campground is clean and well maintained. We would stay a third time

We had 26 people from 7 different states come together for our stay. Many were 1st time "campers", so the cabins were perfect! One thing that the KOA could not control was the high temps that occurred that week, BUT the pool, bounce pillow, movie night and cool cabins made it very enjoyable that we nearly forgot about the heat!!All of the workers were very happy to be there and it showed!!

Okay this is my grandson's with the young girl kalie who was an awesome helper. She was so sweet and very helpful with my grandchildren. We were at the tie-dye activity. The boys enjoy their self so much.$10 for that activity for child which I thought was pretty awesome. The staff at KOA at this location where super duper such as a guy named Bill that my husband had received a lot of help with stuff at the park also the ladies up in the office we're just awesome too. I highly recommend this location very clean bathrooms ,pool area , very clean camping. 10 STARS!!!!!!!!Walkability: You can walk to all the activities in the park. All activities are at the front of the park. K9 Park fenced in for dogs.Food & drinks: They have hunts Pizza. It was pretty good. We ordered a combo and half cheese. Also they will deliver the pizza to your Rv. I thought that was pretty cool that they delivered the Pizza. Also they have slushies and much more.Noteworthy details: Okay this this place is definitely worth taking your family too!!! This has all the activities you could ever want on a weekend for your kids.Let's start out with the free activities .Heated pool, water balloon target game, playground basketball court, horseshoes, huge trampolines to bounce on. Also a basketball bouncy trampoline . Movie night on Friday. Karaoke on Saturday night. And more. Here are some of the activities that you can pay for what are worth money. They had a tie-dye T-shirt event that was $10Rent a pedal go-kart for $8 a half an hourRent a paddle boat boat by the half an hour I think it's $8.They also have a sleuth with running water to pan for gems and fool's Gold. You buy the Saint Kitts in the office take him to the sleuth and your child will have lots of fun. Price per bag $8.00 and up. They also have had a fishing contest too. So this is how I look at it I think it's a great deal you don't have to leave the place and there are many activities for your kids.

We stayed here for two nights and out of all of the campsites we’ve stayed in this summer during our cross country move from AK to NY, this was the nicest place. The staff are all so friendly and helpful, bathroom/showers are super clean, dog park was clean and well maintained. We spent most of our time at the pool, our pup loved the kamp k9. The kids even loved the movies they played in the pavilion both days. Close to west Des Moines too where there are lots of shops/restaurants.

This is a great camping experience. Stayed here for a couple days in a 5th wheel and had no issues with the lovely site. Had a really nice patio, was a level gravel site, and really nice staff. The facilities like the kids stuff - jumping pillow, bikes, playground are great and pool was nice. Fishing pond needs some clean up (maybe add a fountain/bubblerto keep water fresher). Our only issue was the dog run on the left side the gate where the lawn mowers go in has a gap which is large enough for smaller dogs to get right out. Minor issue.

This campground has “sister spaces”. They are actually 2 sites in one site space. You are literally one to two feet away from the camper next to you. Close enough to hear the neighbors private conversations within their camper. I’m not exaggerating. If they are up at 5am so are you. Even more frustrating are the empty sites on the other side of you. Another example of profit before people. The campground seems nice as far as amenities they have a pool. I’m sure the staff was friendly but being on top of my neighbor and hearing their toilet flush among other things I didn’t want to experience at 5:30am made for an unpleasant stay. Would not recommend.

Holly answered the phone and from that point on our experience was FIvE STAR! She was professional; friendly; and went out of her way to give us the best price and the best location for our stay! From the golf cart guide to our spot; to the amazing Veterans discount; to the TREATED patio spot just because; to Theresa coming by to tell us of a possible storm and sharing where the shelter is … AND THE AMENITIES are amazing … the place is set in the countryside and is so pretty.Looks like lots of kids stuff. Cabins are darling. AMERICAN FLAGS on all the cabins!!Can’t say enough. Spotless.Had the BEST EXPERIENCE. Thank you. It was our second time here and we will be back!

Stayed there a few times now in the cabins and each time it has been a wonderful experience. The grounds are very well tended to. My kids love all the activities and new bounce pad. Pool is clean. And most importantly the staff is so accommodating and welcoming. I would HIGHLY recommend stopping by and adding this to your trip itinerary or just for a quick weekend get away!!!

There are so many things for kids to do at this campground. They had a pool, basketball, inflated jump pad, peddle carts, and more. The wifi was great! We were able to stream shows at night without any buffering. They delivered pizza and firewood to your site. The staff was super friendly. If you have a slideout, make sure you don't have a buddy site. They are too small for both campers to have slideouts.

Definitely the best KOA I have ever been in. Service is outstanding, people are great, restrooms are immaculate, this is the only place that has a lock on the dog park that my white shepherd can't open. Pizza on site and they deliver, literally cannot say anything bad about the campground. Neighbors could have been less noisy after 10, but that isn't the campgrounds fault.

The staff was super helpful and very nice. The bathrooms were clean and so was the pool. The sites were very level, great WiFi and the place was really quiet at night. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this park.Walkability: Great walking trails

What a pleasant place to stop if you are traveling across E/W Iowa. Lots of amenities, including ice cream and pizza in the store, supermarket not too far away. The sites are huge and level. We were in one of the newer huge patio sites on the lower section- unfortunately no trees / shade in that area, but the whole place is surrounded by lots of greenspace and beautiful shade trees in the other sections. Great size dog park too!

First time at this KOA. Was only a mile or so north of I-80. Be sure and enter at the pool. Large park with many RV sites, cabins, and play ground for kids. A catch and release pond too. The park was neat and tidey. The cable wire was loose in the box and prevented a good reception. Longest RV site was 65 feet which was just long enough for our RV and toad.
