It's definitely one of the better vet clinics I have used. Everyone is friendly. The doctors all know what they are doing. The entire team is comprised of animal lovers and pet owners. My cat gets excellent treatment, whether for an exam or boarding. 100% recommend.

Staff is great to work with. Got my Spud in same day when he was ill. Dr. Was fantastic and explained everything and charges before anything was done. Would highly recommend to anyone for the care of their fur babies!!!!

the vet was nice and understanding when I met with her. She had me convinced she would get this taken care of. Looking back, I think the dog was more a part of an experiment to see what their medicine would do, more for testing purposes. The problem is when you call in, you are just talking through the receptionist so it’s like playing the game telephone . They were going to make us pay for a 3rd visit before the ear infection went away, so now we are off to see a different vet all together after spending hundreds at this vet with no solution. Very disappointing, especially since we already knew it was an ear infection. They clearly just want the money. First time going to a city vet, and the last. I fought my husband on bringing the dog here, thinking they would be understanding of an old country hunting dog and the country life, I hate it when I’m wrong. 😑

This is by far the absolute best veterinary practice I have been to in 30 years of owning dogs. I recently brought my doggos in for dental cleanings and was blown away by the level of care, outstanding customer service and the way they kept me informed with texts and pics before, during and after the procedure! They treated my pups like they were their own. If you are looking for a new vet or are just considering other options, make this your new home, you will NOT be disappointed. Love love love these guys!

We have used this vet clinic for several things. Most recently, our dog was acting pretty sick. They could have recommended several hundred dollars in tests that might not have given us results. Instead they gave great recommendations and advised us to wait before spending extra. Our dog pulled out of his illness and all is well. I value honesty and I feel like that was what was provided.

You could not find a better vet clinic! The vets here and staff are absolutely amazing. My dog can be worried about strangers and they are so great with him to make sure he feels comfortable and safe. I was in the process of changing vet clinics when my dog ripped his dew claw and I called at 8 AM when they opened and they had an appointment available at 2:30. They were very kind attentive and caring to my dog. Even sent me a report card via email with everything that was done. No more shopping for a great vet - Adel Vet clinic is the one!!! Thank you!!!

I waited to review, as my only prior interaction had been a fraught boarding experience during a holiday.After a proper check-up, I can see how they have earned their glowing recommendations. I've visited a couple of the more prominent West Des Moines veterinary clinics and did not receive anywhere near the attention to detail and regard for my pet's well-being as I did at the Adel Veterinary Clinic.If the next boarding experience goes well, this will likely move to five stars.

Dr Holland provided excellent care to my old friend, taking a multifaceted approach to arthritis pain management and even trying experimental treatments with him. She got us 12-18 more months of quality life together. She also worked hard to connect with me, thus provided medical care for a dog and some mental health services to his owner. The clinic staff are wonderful and we always got loving, personal and professional care. CANNOT recommend this clinic more highly.

I was recommended to this vet clinic and I’m not sure why! Horrible customer service and the vet treated me like I was an idiot for asking questions. When I first arrived 5 mins before the appointment time the front desk wouldn’t even open up the door to let us in and made us wait outside until the doors were unlocked. Once inside neither of the girls at the front desk said hello or asked my name. The vet tech who came into the exam room didn’t introduce herself at all nor did the vet when she came in, which later I found out was Dr Kilgore. She acted so put out & disgusted to touch and exam my puppy whom I rescued from living in a barn and was severely itchy, but yet she had wrinkly clothes and greasy hair. The whole experience was very unprofessional and I felt no one cared for my dog not acted like they wanted to interact with her. I also had two charges to my card that I wasn’t told about before hand. I definitely will not return to this clinic and if you do, make sure you know exactly what and when things will be charged.

Dr. Holland is spectacular. She is a true professional that is talented, passionate and thorough in everything she does. It is obvious that she truly cares for the patients and their owners. She actively listens to your concerns and spends as much time as needed discussing options, all while simultaneously ensuring your pet is comfortable and content during the entire visit. I trust her with my furry kids 200%!! And if you know me, that says a lot!!

Adel vet clinic is hands down the best Vet I've ever been to. My old dog was attacked by a big brutish dog and they mended him back to full health and were very responsive to his urgent needs.Our other old dog needed serious teeth surgery to take care of her rotted out mouth and gums. She started to bleed from her mouth but was still a week away from her surgery. They got us in a week early and did amazing work! She has had an amazing recovery and I accredit it to the Vets at Adel Vet Clinic. They are knowledgeable and caring. They always follow up and keep you informed of upcoming reccomendattions.In short they are trusted and the best! Thank you!

Dr. Holland is the most amazing, kind and patient doctor. We've had many great vets over the years, but Dr. Holland goes above and beyond. One of my dogs is very afraid of going to the vet. Dr. Holland took it upon herself to spend extra time with him to help him gain his confidence back. On our last visit we could see the difference in him due to the extra time Dr. Holland spent with him. I think she is a very special person.
