I am staying here one night-tonight due to a family emergency on the interstate. Great experience until a young male knocked on my window about 45 mins ago at 12:40 a.m. after I felt safe enough to leave my curtain open. It’s freezing cold also yet here is a guy knocking on my window making a smoking motion as if asking for a cigarette. I shook my head no. Then he points to a beer I’m drinking and does a drinking motion as if asking for a beer. At that point I said no again and walked over to close the blinds.I am a single female and not from here so it kind of scares me. I tried to call the front desk but the phone does not work. It was not even hooked up , so I hooked it up and it still didn’t work. It has a different room number than mine also. So, I had to call 911 from my cell phone and the police took a report. The officer said that the guy would not come back and that he knew the guy so he must be a local person. The owners of this hotel need to make sure this does not happen. Then I called the hotel from my cell and told them what happened and that the room phone does not work. The room itself is clean and the bed is extremely comfortable with microwave and small refrigerator. Dollar General and Casey’s are next door which is nice. But, that guy coming to my window is very creepy and gave me a very bad feeling about the hotel. I would be wary of that when staying here. Room 202 is my number.Rooms: Clean, comfortable, direct tv, nice shower/bath with good water flow. No stopper in tub so used a washcloth in it to take bath and it worked fine. Microwave and fridge but no coffee pot. That is in the lobby.Safety: Please read my review. I recommend leaving your curtain closed unfortunately even though it is a nice view. Owners need to stop non guests from coming on their property.

We didn't stay here but there couple running the place was very friendly and helpful when we locked out keys in our car. The lobby looked very clean and nicely decorated.

Older motel right off I80. Clean updated room, plenty of hot water, fluffy towels, comfy beds. The nicest mattress in the last 10 places we’ve stayed this trip. Pet friendly. No in room coffee and minimal breakfast. Only cold cereal, muffin and coffee. Good restaurant in the same parking lot, also old fashioned ice cream shop next door. Gas, parts, dollar general and park within easy walking distance.Safety: Older couple with dog, we felt safe and at ease

Perfect spot right off the highway to catch some sleep. Nothing “luxurious” but definitely comfortable and CLEAN! Plenty of channels on the TV, plenty of hot water, comfortable but firm mattress, and the front desk was nice and accommodated us when we got there late in the night.Side note: the gas stations by the hotel were not open late at night.

The receptionist was very nice. We have stayed before and thought it was convenient for us. The beds were soft, rooms were clean, the pillows are not that great. The only thing I could complain about was the noise right outside our window. I believe it was one of their workers drinking beer with a patron that was staying there that night. He was playing music and his phone and being loud laughing and talking.

Rooms was clean for the most part. Lots of TV channels and bed was comfortable. Bathroom wasn't that great rusty brown water came out multiple times but it cleared up. Ask for a room on the 2nd floor. I stayed on the 1st floor and could hear every step and when they did anything in the bathroom it sounded like a waterfall coming down my wall.

We stayed there at the last minute on a Friday night. Only place that had a king size bed in a handicap room for miles.The owners were kind and friendly. Only coffee and a wrapped blueberry muffin from Walmart was available for breakfast, so not fancy but something.We heard from another local business owner that they bought the place a year ago and have invested a lot into it to fix it up. The decor is outdated and floor is strange to walk on/roll over, but our TV worked, the satellite TV worked, and the plumbing seemed ok.For being a handicap room, the room was huge and on the first floor. Plenty of room to turn around. The bathroom was pretty small. Two grab bars instead of just one by the toilet would have made transferring a lot easier.

BEWARE when you make a reservation at this motel!! When I made my reservation 2 days prior to our arrival, I WAS NOT asked to confirm/hold the room with a credit card. I was merely told it would be $85 + tax, we could check in by 2:00 p.m. and the lady that handled my call gave me a confirmation number over the phone. We were unable to make this reservation due to a family emergency, I called on the day of our reservation, and was told we would still have to pay because the cancellation was not 24 hrs in advance. Ok - I felt confident I would not be paying for the room as I DID NOT give them any of that information. Well, by God, the next day $82.50 was taken out of my bank account???!!!!! HOW???!!!!! There is no other way to explain this transaction but by a fraudulent practice. The very next thing to stealing in my opinion. I argued with the 'manager', and ask that he refund the money, and he said No. So BEWARE if you are going to have to cancel a room reservation with this motel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were in Adair on Sept 11, 2020 for a funeral, rented 2 queen rooms & a king suite for the family. The hotel is older and a bit "out of date" in appearance but clean and comfortable if you're looking for a shower and a good night's sleep this works fine. The people there were were more than accommodating, trying to insure we had a good stay. Which I feel is pretty much what most of us are looking for in Adair, Iowa. We didn't check out the free breakfast at the hotel because there's a restaurant called the "Chuck Wagon in walking distance (in the same parking lot) They serve lunch & dinner as well but the breakfast was fantastic - bacon & sausage like you'd have from a farm. The grandsons LOVED it. I also purchased a great scented candle there, lots of fun decor type stuff for sale there. The kids had ice cream on Friday night when we arrived as there is a little ice cream shop right there as well. Overall a very good experience.

Old but well maintained hotel. Not too many hotels like that left. It’s family run one. Clean and quiet rooms, friendly staff, free breakfast. It’s definitely worth every penny

The king bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Luxury sheets and the very quiet, large room added up to a great night's sleep!
