Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Good people. There was a mixup with the booking site, which was solved easily. The room was a bit aged, but very clean. Overall a great experience, and a charming small town motel, with a personal touch. There are 2 gas stations with convenience stores just next door and it's a short walk across the Adair viaduct into town.Rooms: Clean and spacious.Walkability: Convenience stores and town center just a short walk away.

Coach roach hotel woke up to these guys crawling around the room, bathroom who knows where else.We had a couple of rooms every room had 1 roll of tokiet paper 2 towels no bed spreads & poor cleaning jobs. The bathroom on the main floor was disgusting. My advice if you want quality over convince stay somewhere else this place is a dump. It's cheap & next to a 24 hour gas station & subway dollar general. Not impressed at all

At $50 (almost $60 with fees & taxes) for the night I really wasn't expecting much, but I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The lady at the desk was nice enough, albeit a bit condescending. The room itself was clean, but certainly not spotless or sterile by any means. I also don't believe that the linens were changed or cleaned between me and the previous guest as on one of the beds I found a rather large erm...lovestain on the sheets. On the corner of the same bed I also saw what appeared to be insect flecking, possibly from bed bugs, although after I further investigated it did not seem like there was an active infestation. The utilities in the room worked fairly well (fridge, heating, toilet, etc.) and the shower had good water pressure with plenty of hot water. If you plan on staying here bring your own linens (towels, pillows, blankets, etc.) and sleep on top of the bed rather than in it which is what I ended up doing. I'd also recommend wearing shower shoes or something similar if you plan on using the shower.Overall not a great experience, but far from the worst. Would've given this place more stars if the linens were cleaned.

Checked in at 6:30 pm on Tuesday. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. Walk into the room and it's very out dated and very hot (87). Turned the air on and continued looking around. No outlets by the bed, carpeting on the walls, disgusting and the shower was filthy even tho some updates had been done in the bathroom. Didn't see any signs of wildlife so finished unpacking and ran to the store while it cooled down. Came back and it was still 78. Took the cover off the AC to check the filter and I could barely see through it, the coils were just as bad. Cleaned the filter and took a shower. The hair catcher in the drain was so plugged up with a black crust that it wouldn't drain soI took it out. Next day I get back about 4pm. the room hadn't been touched. I bought some shower cleaner and scrubbed it pretty descent. Went back into the other room and found 2 bugs in the bed. Picked up the room phone to call the front desk and the phone doesn't work so I called on my cell phone. Went to check out at 4:50 and he was charging me for 1 1/2 days! Less than 24 hours and bugs in your bed and that's what you get!

The budget price doesn't allow for fancy upgrades and decorations but the Front Desk check-in in the middle of the night made up for it. Who can be friendly and smiling at that hour? She was, and immediately made me feel welcome, although I had to get her out of bed. Fast and courteous service. Not fancy, but the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I could smell the fresh linen as I fell asleep.A real bargain for the price👍

Found bed bugs in one of the beds after finding bumps from being bitten by them. Told the front desk about it and she accused us of bringing them in and would not acknowledge that they had them. Prior to finding the bed bugs they would clean the room and make the bed but never change the sheets. If you are in town working on wind turbines I highly recommend staying somewhere else and driving the extra distance.

I'm traveling from Seattle to Indianapolis and I called to inquire about a room. The lady was very rude and demanded that I give her $100 non-refundable deposit and also stated that if I didn't like it I could look elsewhere. I then inquired about parking in the parking lot just to take a nap for a couple hours as I called at 6:00 a.m. local time and was told absolutely not and if she found out that I was in the parking lot she would be calling the police for trespassing. I'm not a local to the area even though I grew up in indiana, I would not stay here just based off of the service alone. Very disrespectful and short-tempered.

Three outlets in the room, only one worked. The place is definitely outdated. Towels were yellow (originally white) with uh...."hair" all over them. Bathroom and sink area looked as if it was wiped down with just a dry paper towel. If it was cleaner....I probably would have given three stars, regardless of the rest of my review.Breakfast was two types of cereal. No coffee in the room.If you're looking for a bed for a night, go for it. The price is right on. Anymore than one night, I'm looking elsewhere. The staff, owners, or whoever....were very nice and the location was perfect.

We stopped for just one night to sleep. For such a cheap price- it was better then I expected. We arrived late but had no problem checking in. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. In the morning there was coffee, juice, cereal and muffins ( nothing fancy but for 40$ we were even expecting any breakfast) The lady working was very nice and overall we can't say anything bad about this place.

Room was dated but clean and tidy. The woman at the front desk was very nice and even called after we got into our room to make sure that we were satisfied with the room. Nothing fancy but room was large and clean and the shower was hot - both very much appreciated after driving 18 hours!

Excellent.. my work crew and I were on a long trip from PA to S. D. Traveling down I-80. We called ahead on a Sat night and was quoted 2 rooms at $39 each. As we stay in lots of hotels, motels and such, er were not expecting much. But, after 14 hours on the road, with 5 left to go, we took a chance. The parking lot was nice and clean. The lady that checked us in was pleasant, the rooms were as clean as any we have stayed in. And cleaner that most at twice the price. Sheets and pillows were clean and fresh. Flat screen TV, was a name brand. ( Phillips, I believe). Water pressure was good. Water was hot and beds were comfortable enough. Fridge and microwave in the room. Don't hesitate to stay here and don't be scared off by the price. We took a chance and were very happy we did. FYI, there is no breakfast here, but there is a subway across the street that serves breakfast and that lady was nice too.

Fair price and quiet after the other guests were settled. The toilet in our room was small and so tight in the corner that it was difficult to use. The toilet seat was broken either before or during its use. Then the toilet became plugged and would not flush. A plunger would have been handy to have in the room. Upon checkout the manager said she would have moved us to a different room. Overall, worth the money. Unfortunately the toilet problem was a great inconvenience.

This is the best budget motel I’ve ever stayed in, as well as the cheapest. The rooms are a little dated (they have flat screen TVs, mini fridges and microwaves though), but they are kept pretty clean and the staff is great. They also have great cable with loads of channels witch is refreshing for a budget motel. For $50 a night all said and done I don’t think I’ll ever find one better. I will always stay here when going through Iowa.

Spacious and clean. No smokey nor musky odors.Wifi and fridge, but no desk. Small round table, two night stands, three chairs, wall heat, outlets near nothing, unless you move the small round table and/or chairs.Queen bed with three layers of linen. Not the place to plug in, but a great place to rest. And, a great price. Good value for a good night's sleep.

This place is an absolute Gem! While most other accomodations in this price range give me an uneasy sleezy feeling that I just have to tolerate, here it felt safe, homey and comfortable. The decor is very dated, but the place is kept immaculately. Like staying at my grandma's house as a kid, but cleaner. All the promised basics are supplied, and at an actual $50 flat including tax, no tricks or ad ons. I was just stopping through, but I would have happily stayed here much longer!

Great little hotel for the price. And I've stayed in some real crapholes.I had zero issues, and the woman at the front desk was really nice.Such a positive review is a stretch for me. If I like it, and you don't, that means you're a picky tool.

We arrived to a sign on the door of the motel office that said they were closed and gave us a number to call. Half an hour later our call was returned and they apologized and said we could come anytime. My husband asked if we could look at the room before checking in but was told we had to pay before we looked and if it wasn’t satisfactory they would refund our money. There was only one electrical outlet in the room and it was on the opposite side of the room from the bed. My husband has a C Pap machine that needs to be right beside the bed. When my husband said that wouldn’t work he was told she couldn’t refund our money since we’d used Expedia so we spent much time on the phone with Expedia straightening it out. Expedia was very accommodating but I would not recommend the hotel based on listed above reasons.

The Adair Budget Inn is a good value for the price. The room was clean and comfortable, although we wished there were more than just 2 flat pillows. The lady at the front desk was very kind and, although we didn't stay and eat, we noticed a simple breakfast spread of cereal, pastries, etc. the following morning when we checked out. The Adair Budget Inn is definitely worth the price and a nice place for an overnight stay.

Im a truck driver one of my runs led me to renting a room overnight. When checking out for next pick up had to waiting period of 1 hr where I was in lobby I was kicked in 16* weather . Even tho I rented a room I was told to go across the highway with my luggage to wait for taxi. I will never rent a room from them again. The room was dirty very flat pillows refrigerator smelled moldy . Rude employees.

Normally I'd complain, but for $45 there's a microwave, refridgerator, heater/AC and TV. No it's not the Ritz, but it's clean, comfortable, and plenty of room.Oh yeah! The TV works great.

I now know never to stay at a motel for only $44 per night. If it is too good to be true, it is. Initially stayed in room 103 on July 23 2015. Smell of mold hit me right when I walked in to room 103, I didn't think much of it. As I was laying in the bed watching the the poor quality sd TV, a blood red bug ran across me - I then looked near where the headboard was and saw many clear bed bugs. I went down to the office and the woman assured me the critters I caught under the clear plastic cup on the bed were not bedbugs. She moved me 2 doors down to room 105 and it had a bed frame, an hd TV, it didn't smell, and leather chairs. Had I worn a nice Pendleton suit and done combed my hair nice they probably would have placed me in room 105, but I was profiled otherwise. Do yourself a favor and stay at the other motel in Adair. Room 103 - is a public health concern.

Not a great experience. Bring extension chords and power strips. Two outlets in room. None by the bed so no lamps or places to recharge your phone by the bed. Of the two outlets, one is used up by the hotel with Tv, lamp and clock. So if you need an outlet, choose what you'd like to sacrifice. That leaves one outlet for use. Three devices to charge so you do the math! And I'm traveling alone, add another person and you do the math. The outlet but the sink area for hair dryer, etc is way above the mirror. I needed a chair to reach it. At 8:00 AM I hear elephants on the roof. Roofers came to do tear-off and there was no notice given at check in. People might choose a different place if they like to sleep in, but I suppose that's why we weren't told. Kinda selfish of them. Most places tell you how to access the wi-fi at check in or in the room. Here, they wait for you to ask if they have it. Again, maybe hoping you won't use it??
