Laurie is amazing. I came in on a Friday night because we are getting our first puppy on Sunday and we needed everything from a collar to food/water bowls. Laurie led me around the whole store for the right things to get for our puppy. She helped me make the right choices for our new mini dachshund and we couldn’t be happier. You could tell she really cared about helping us find the right things and sizing that would fit a mini dachshund. We will forever recommend her and her store. Have always loved uncle bills.

We really wanted to like this place, given how nice it looks from the outside. However, the inside is not quite as nice, and they have less product than it would seem. They do have a good selection of dog food (a little better than petco). However, some of the comparable food prices seemed more expensive (than Petco). They do not have a treat station, which seems odd given the size of this place. The cash register was not working properly and it took the cashier some time to get it working. The casher was very nice, but was not very knowledgeable (and I couldn't find any other employee). They do sell dogs there- and a lot of people were there looking at them and playing with them in the little booths they have for that. If seeing dogs in little wall pens is going to bother you, be warned. I personally dont like those little pens. However, they are cute, and still, checking out the dogs was a highlight for us.We likely will not come back unless there is a specialty food we need or we want to play with some puppies.My advice to them would be to try to have slightly lower prices than the competition (and yes, I know that's hard for a smaller business) and perhaps to emphasizes being a pet store first, and a supply store second given the large number of people who where playing with the pups, and the lack of places to buy puppies around here.

Nicest Uncle Bills I’ve been to date. Well organized, clean. Fish room is very nice all though not the best selection. Was told to go to the Fishers location for many of the things I asked if were in stock. Kind of disappointing for a brand new store.

While I'm not a proponent of pet shops that hold puppies in store, I will say that Uncle Bill's keeps them in better conditions than many other pet shops I have seen. Beyond that they are a one stop shop for anything you could need for a pet. They have an extraordinary selection of unique animals.

This store is brand-spanking-new and lovely! Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and wore genuine smiles! I'm owned by a senior Shih Tzu, so most of the pics I shared are dog-related, but there's also plenty of supplies/goodies for kitties, fish and reptiles too. Special shout-out to Lori and Paula for being so welcoming and informative - I'm excited to see how my boy likes the free sample of the in-house, Made In The USA brand of food by Nutri Source and will definitely be back to get "Welcome To Your New Furever Home" gifts and Training Treats for all the new pups in my neighborhood! Please do note - Google Maps had a hard time finding the current entrance for this strip of stores, as the plaza has a little bit more construction to finish. Look for the backside entrance northeast of 421/Michigan Road.

Brooke was very helpful by suggesting a chew bone for our 2 large dogs (Golden and English cream retrievers - 90lbs ea.). They love them! It's the same bones, or chews, the dogs have in the store. Thank you for the suggestion Brooke!!

The only thing I would suggest is to have employees know what animals can go together and what they can't, as well as what their habitsare to contain. We have serial tortoises. I keep seeing the Russian and Redfoot together. The Russian is a desert dweller, and the Redfoot is tropical. Russian tortoises are known to carry a specific virus that is fatal for other tortoises. These species need separate enclosures.*Edit 7-1-2023*You guys rock and I am very happy to have seen your little tortoises all enjoying their own area. Thank you 😊

We go into Uncle Bills a couple times a month to see the wide variety of animals they have. From puppies to hedgehogs to stingrays! We also spoil our fur babies and get toys and treats while we are there.

I don’t know where some of these people where but it wasn’t at Uncle Bills . I’ve been to several locations over the years I’ve been down here and haven’t seen anything but nice animals and fish. They have better care than most animals who have to stay In a cage all day then out for an hour or two then backin a cage. No place is perfect all the time. They must be doing some right to stay in business. The bad reviews are people with another agenda.

I was in this store once and I don’t ever want to go back. Not because of what they did but due to their animal husbandry.The fish tanks looked good, though it seems they are being taken care of by someone that doesn’t really care either way.The dogs and small animals are in such small enclosures it’s pitiful with almost no to little time to run around, play and stretch out.Then, I saw they had A sugar glider....a single glider, in a cage with dangerous materials to sleep in and climb on, a wheel that could maim or even kill the poor thing and the poor thing got ZERO bonding time with anyone!!! She was a stressed out, nervous little fluffy wreck!!! They are colony animals and need to be in pairs at the very least!!! That wheel will kill a glider, if not deglove their tails or break a leg!!The Only reason I gave this place a 2 star rating is because one of the employees, whether he was just putting up with me or not, took time to stop and listen to what that glider needed to thrive and be in a glider safe environment.

We just visited this location and left with heavy hearts. I've always felt iffy about Uncle Bill's animal care standards, to the point where I actively try to avoid this chain, but we had a cricket emergency. The reptile habitats were filthy. The crested gecko diet was dried and crusty, who knows when those geckos were last fed. There was significant algae growth in some of the water dishes. Many of the reptiles were too large for their habitats. Nothing had temperature or humidity gages and I can only imagine that the temperature in every habitat was wrong. There was a full grown rabbit living in a small wirecgcage that neither employee knew anything about. At least two rabbits had no food. The parakeets were out of seed. Their water was disgusting. The puppy available for adoption at the store was sitting in a cart and at least rice i watched the employee leave him unattended. Not sure what the employees were doing, one was clearly on her phone when we came in.

I was upset to find out that all the cats and dogs are from breeders, not from rescue programs. This was according to a staff member at the Zionsville location that we visited.

Thank y'all so much! We just adopted our Siberian Husky Who was found as a stray, under weight and in need of a lot of love. We have been struggling to find any food he will eat, UNTIL TODAY!!! The ladies working today loved on our goofball, explained the different diatary information on a few different brands that would help put healthy weight on our boy, and even provided samples since he has been such a picky eater. Once we got home I followed their instructions and he ate all the food! I can't wait to see him grow into a healthy happy dog. Thanks everyone for being so kind, I will be sure to bring in Niko and send updates!!!

Went to store and parked in front of it. Called on line number listed. After 10 rings girl told me she couldn’t help me. Asked if I went on line and ordered right there.. no couldn’t help me.Have been spending money regularly there for a long time. Will be taking my money somewhere else. Rude help‼️

Had some questions but no one is answering the phone, I know I picked a time when they are not busy but I never been to this location before, and it already on my bad side. I called 3 times, it ring until someone just answered the phone and hung up the phone. All 3 times. Don’t respond with a “What can we do to make this better”. Just fix your problem. I will take my business to another location or another pet store.

Staff is unprofessional and not willing to provide satisfactory customer service. Two visits and two disappointing experiences. From staff approaching my dog “looking him straight in the eye” to returning a collar and unable to be accommodated for a difference of change. Will not visit again.

This location is in need of someone who cares, shelfs in shambles, multiple piles of animal excrement on the floor, and dirty cages/ tanks.I've been to good Uncle Bill's locations...this isn't one of them.
