So thankful for this animal center! Dr Smith is so caring for his patients and their families. Had to take our our dog today to get her ears looked at, and the appointment fell right at our infant's nap time. His staff was so professional and friendly. They allowed me to stay in the car with the sleeping baby while they took our pup in to be examined and treated. Dr Smith then came out to the car to let me know what was going on, and take care of everything from there. 5/5 would recommend!

Visited on 10/9/23, had our very sick cat Boots put to sleep. Very professional staff, sensitive to the emotional upset my family and I were experiencing over the loss of our feline family member. We have taken our other cats there before, as well as the one we just lost, always good services and prices.

They are AMAZING. Our dog had cancer and it had ruptured… they were so helpful, considerate, had soo much compassion for us. I will definitely take my animals here from now on.

Animal Medical Center cares for the sick and injured cats and kittens from Action for Animals and we're so lucky to have their help.These 3 cats in the pictures are just about ready for go to PetSmart (or to a foster home) and I went I yesterday to meet them and talk to the vet staff.AMC really helps rescue organizations like AFA and we're grateful.

I have been a loyal client here over 20 years for my animals and the last 2 times I have tried to schedule an appointment for my sick dog I’m unable to receive a timely appointment. They have no problem getting me in for routine appointments but during the times that I truly need a vet’s expertise I cannot get in. I was able to get my dog into another local vet within 24 hours (luckily as she was running a fever and health declining). My close family has had the same experience - even needing to take their dog to be put to sleep at a vet that knows nothing about their animal as AMC refused to fit them in.I will no longer return to this facility despite truly liking the veterinarians as I cannot trust I have a facility that truly cares for my animal when I am in urgent need.

Dr. Smith is wonderful and I have been taking my dogs there for many years, but in saying that the staff is totally incompetent. As a client you have more interactions with the staff than the Dr. His staff needs trained better how to talk to clients and not be rude and agrumentative. Its not worth the frustration so we are switching veterinarians.

We used to love going here. They allowed someone that wasn’t on our account to make appointments under our name over six years ago. That person missed said appointments and it went against us permanently. I can now no longer take my animals here unless I want to just drop them off! I tried to explain and the lady was rude and said they refuse to fix the situation even though I had no idea this was even happening at the time. Absolutely ridiculous that there’s no other solution? I can’t get that person to come in and vouch for making these appointments? Nothing it just goes on our record still. I’ve not missed one appointment for this vet so I’m just heartbroken because we really loved our vet there. There has to be another solution that I’m Not being offered this has been years ago…

Our dog has been socialized very little and seems to be a lil aggressively protective of her momma. But the minute the tech took her leash she was calm cool and collected. I think they gave her excellent care. And kept us informed of her status as they had her in recovery from her spay. Great experience and we will continue vet care with this vet hospital!

I have literally gone to so many different vets due to fostering through rescues/shelters and none come anywhere close to AMC and Dr. Smith. He goes out of his way to explain any issues that may arise and in emergency situations always seems to work my pets in. Pricing is amazing I can't find anywhere else that compares.

I highly recommend this place. Everyone here is so nice. I'm always so surprised how nice and patient they are to my dog because he gets very stressed out at the vet, barks constantly and tries to bite. But they never seem to mind and handle a scared dog really well. They are always kind and gentle with him. Dr. Hickok has always been great. I think she is the only vet my dog actually likes!It's also by far the least expensive vet appointments I've had. For medication, overnight procedures like neutering, are all so much cheaper and a better experience than other places I've taken my dog to. Also the building is really nice and the have nice cats that live there!

I recently had to have my fur baby put down due to old age, but we used the Animal Medical Center throughout his entire 11 1/2 years. They are awesome there and are the best when it comes to the end of your pets time here on Earth. Would absolutely recommend!

Dr. Smith and all of the staff are wonderful to our family and our dog! We can do early drop-off for his appointment and pick him up after school. You get a nice 'report card' for the visit and the pricing is very affordable.

Did an amazing job with my grandparents dog that has bad anxiety from being abused from his previous owners. Very thankful of them for finding a solution to our problem. They have always taken very good care of my grandparents previous dogs that had a lot of medical issues as well. Highly recommend!!

The lady that helped me was so kind, from the phone call (she answered all my questions, didn't get frustrated by all the questions I had, she let me speak and didn't cut me off, most places will cut you off before you can finish what you want to say) to the visit in person, not to mention the prices!! I was literally stressing out about how much I thought the visit would cost me, most places it would have been from atleast $200 to even more, but their price was $85, and that includes all vaccines, rabies shot, and a wellness check up, I'm literally blown away... Both my dog and cat will no doubt be going back!! Sorry for the long review, but this place is the best no joke!! ♥️♥️♥️

If I could give 2000 stars I would. This is by far the best Vet facility. Our dear Schnauzer is diabetic and the love of our lives. I trust full heartedly that when we drop her off, she is well cared for always. Second Schnauzer we have had with Dr Smith. All of them are truly wonderful

These guys have an amazing staff! Super kind, friendly and they love animals. The vets are professional, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. They have packages with payment plans for shots. They have flea/tick/ heart worm meds on site. Nutrition advice, spay and neutering, microchipping and more.The place is always clean and that's a feat for me with one puppy at home. Right!? Bailey, my 2 1/2 month old terrier even enjoys going (that probably will not last long). Call today. Pets make Life Better!

I can't even begin to say how great this place is. The Dr's, and the staff are the most caring group of people I've ever had in trusting my most precious fur babies to. I will forever hold a special place in my heart for each and everyone of them. They really care about your pet and it showed every time Eva and Belvedere had to visit. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Came in today for my 2:40 appointment, filled out some papers beforehand, and was able to leave at 3:00. Super quick serive and they were really nice. The vet kind and was able to help my rat quickly. It's nice to know I don't have to wait hours for my rat to get checked.

I would not recommend this vet at all. Smith proved to be unreliable and doesn’t pay attention to hardly anything. He chose to ignore our several requests to look at something on our pet, and he kept ignoring, ignoring, and ignoring until it was too late to do anything about. Very disappointed in him and his facility. His staff as well as himself should be ashamed of themselves as well as stripped of their jobs as they have proved to be inefficient and worthless. Save yourself the money, trouble and most of all save your pets by choosing a different veterinarian.

I have always felt this animal center has been very responsive to our needs. Dr. Smith takes the time and makes effort to clearly explain what is going on with our cats, both good and bad. Staff has great customer service and they are very reasonably priced for the care they provide.

We only visited once, it was okay. Nothing outstanding. The second time was an emergency. Our Dog, which later found he had a stoke, was taken in. I asked at the desk if someone could please see him. The girl at the desk said that there was no doctor there. I told her I saw her getting out of her vehicle and she said "I don't think so". I told her that I had just seen the doctor the other day and knew what she looked like. She said that she'd check but was sure I didn't know. She talked with the doctor, I guess, but when she came back she said that we couldn't been seen for at least an hour. Now, I know my pet and knew there was something wrong, but the girl, who thought she was the doctor evidently, proceeded to tell me that she told the doctor that there didn't look like anything was wrong with the dog. So it would be an hour. I said "Don't you have emergency services?" She said no. We left. I was not happy. I called another Vet, Maplewood Animal Hospital, and they told us to bring him right in. They took us in right away and treated our dog. They will keep our business. I suggest if you have an emergency, please don't go there! I gave it a 2 because the other girl in the office looked upset the way the one girl was talking to us.

This place is pretty good. The staff is always pleasant and i have never had a long wait. Also, this is the only place in the area with a doctor that specializes in rabbits. She must be good because I have a very healthy bunny!

When I first got my bunny, Jan ‘19 I called many times to ask questions and get information on behavior that I googled and found no answer to. They were very patient with me and always answered my questions. I’m always able to get in as soon as possible and they take very good care of her.
