On the way home from a business trip we ran across this really nice pizza/sandwich/salad restaurant/bar. Very welcoming staff and amazing seasonal drinks and beers. We decided to order a 'fork lift" pizza and a Southwest salad. The service was phenomenal and totally enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. When we were served our food, the salad was very plain and certainly not worth $8.45. There maybe was a cup of lettuce, a spoon full of black beans, corn, and maybe a 1/2 cup of chicken (I requested no tortilla chips topping). The pizza was actually very large and definitely full of meat items we had chosen but not much taste due to barely any sauce or seasoning. The bread sticks, I will say, were very, very delicious. The Service, appetizer, and drinks were excellent, the pizza and salad we ordered not so much. If we travel back thru this area we would certainly stop and request more sauce on our pizza. We may skip the salad, but not the drinks!

Good food, attentive wait staff. Discovered a new option that has become my new favorite!Strange night tonight. Karaoke in the bar. Atmosphere in the dining area was very loud. A separation door would be helpful. Never got drink refills when ordered. Had to flag folks down for almost everything, including the check. They seemed a bit short staffed. We will come back as I'm sure this is an anomaly.MUCH better service tonight. Very attentive staff, drinks were spot on, food was great. You clearly did better!Still very loud in the dining area, but there was a large group so it made sense. The Purdue game provided some extra cheering, adding to the noise level. If games are a thing, perhaps a few more screens in addition to the two smaller screens that are available. Black Friday deals are available for this. All in all, still not a bad experience. We will be back.

Great waiter, liked the subs, best salad in town now. Husband and sil loved the pizza. I didn't care for the sweetness of the sauce. The whole place was very clean, could use a little more lighting above tables.Was in there again today. Our waiter was amazing! I never visited this place under the other owner. But it has became our favorite place to go. Everyone who works there is always so nice.

We had the best wings with a pepper sauce it was amazing i have not had wings this good ever.. and the warrior pizza was to die for. Will return again this is my 5 visit over the period of 3 years as I do not live here yet. The server was the greatest. He was a warrior class 17 keep up the good work. Love ❤️ this place.

My husband and I found this place by accident (we're from Michigan), after the first pizza on a Wednesday, we were back on Friday and tried a sub (him) and wrap (me). Back last Thursday so the hubby could have all you can eat wings and I tried a sub. Well...we were back again today, so he could have more wings and I had pizza again. Oh and the bread sticks are great too! All I can say is, if I lived down here, I would gain so much weight! The food is amazing and the wait staff is some of the best I've seen. Keep up the great work Tippy's! We will definitely stop in again when we're here next year!!

Nice family place with great service, great menu items and great prices. We had a party of 14, shortly after we were sat down a party of 25 came in. None of us waited on our appetizers, drinks and meals. They were very attentive to both parties and were polite while doing so!

Great little pizza and bar joint in the heart of town. I ordered a large beast and it was really good! This was a nice handmade pizza on the lighter side with the crust. Nice set of toppings and plenty of food for two guys to get stuffed on! Staff was friendly and place was clean! All around great experience, I will be back for sure!!

We had a great time, friendly staff!!! The appetizers and antipasto salad were all fresh and delicious. We ordered the forklift taco pizza, adding forklift to any pizza adds a top layer of dough...it was so delicious!!! Peanut butter, chocolate chip, marshmallow pizza for dessert...wow!!! Definitely going back. Great job to everyone working at Tippy's!!! Thanks again :)

12/18/21We had a take out order tonight. The food was delicious! I did call to inform them that the AntiPizza Salad (one of my favorites and still is) did not have either of the meats included. The gentleman who answered was pleasant, apologized for the mistakeand told me he would inform the kitchen staff. I'm not sure what the standard should be, but after an awkward moment I rather expected him to tell me the next time we ordered, please remind them of the mistake and they would perhaps take a couple dollars off our next order? ...half price an appetizer?..provide a couple complimentary bread sticks?... My calzone was great as was the meatball sub.

Took the kids out for the first time since "the virus started going around" as we call it. First time inside in about 5 years. Great food, wonderfully kind staff- even though we brought 3 little kids in. Affordable price. Not "cheap" but definitely money well spent. Check out this great locally-owned spot!!

Really good wrap & sandwich...asked for an uncooked pizza to go to cook later as we live an hour away. Got the dough and all the fixings to make ourselves which is such a super cool idea. Our server/cook was fantastic! Definitely recommend

I would give a 5 star but there was only 8 pieces of sausage on the whole 12 inch pizza.Pizza was great and the large breadstick with cheese that came with the salad was nice.This was my first time but will return hopefully they will put more sausage on next time

I love eating here. We go at least once a week. The food is great, the atmosphere is even better. I love the people there, I'd recommend this to anyone in the area. If I could give 6 stars I would!! Not Xavier by the way lol.

Great night, we had a big group and the staff took care of all of us spectacularly. Even though they were busy they took care of us just as they would if we were a smaller one. Great service. Our server Luke did an amazing job too.

We had high hopes- kitchen was filthy, waitstaff was ok, food was very marginal at best. It’s hard to screw up a pizza- Very very lackluster. Bathrooms were dirty……overall not happy with our experience:/I wish them the best in business- please pay better attention to the details.

Good food, good service, clean facility, nice environment, reasonable prices! Huge 3 topping stuffed crust pizza and 2 draft beers for $26. All tables sit 2-6 people and no booths. Nothing bad to say about here.

Always take my out of town guests here or grab a bite before a movie. The. Bread sticks. All day! Service is always very accommodating and kind. It's a hometown favorite. Recently participated in a Harry Potter trivia night and it was a total blast!

The pizza was nasty.. only reason for the 2 stars in the breadsticks and cheese sauce.. our order was misplaced we were given a time showed up at that time and waited another 20 mins to get the food.. for the price we paid it wasn't worth the wait at all! The sauce was like paste.. super salty and the toppings were in the center of the pizza.. the staff was so unorganized and had no idea how our pizzas got lost.. we waited extra time only to get cold pizza.. won't be back

Coming from Chicago, you won’t find better pizza in northwest Indiana than at tippys! Place was great and had a large selection of draft beers that were cheap! Definitely will be coming back to Tippys soon!
