Sadly it was less then par the area is whiting but they treat you like Gary the second you walk in I went in as I'm familiar with Ace from when I lived in Naperville, IL let's just say that's where the comparison ended I was followed every step and at 1 point 2 employees were attached to my hip I advised I didn't need help they paced me a Lil more (2 high school grade) finally I asked WHAT! I was told that there is a no back pack policy... I have a small and I do mean small backpack purse that I have to put my phn in a certain kind of way to zipper it up but sure let me fit your register in too.. the audacity so I'm guilty for having a purse !? It's a purse ...So much for buying the weber 36" griddleDO BETTER ACE YOUR STUPIDITY IS SHOWINGACE HARDWARE WHITING, IN

Whoa, the employees are super friendly & helpful. I was there for 5 minutes, and 4 people asked if they could help me! The store is organized and well stocked. Going forward, I'll come here instead of Lowes or Home Depot.

Unfortunately, they stopped carrying Carhartt clothing. They replaced it with some cheap quality low-end imposter brand. Guess I'm getting all my work clothing from Bery Bros now or the internet.

My furnace started short-cycling yesterday. Eventually it stopped altogether. I went to a big box hardware store and quickly found out I was in the wrong place. The employee helping me said: "You need to go to a real hardware store". I was disappointed because I thought I was. 😳 Unfortunately, all of the locations were closed, so I had to wait overnight. 😔I was there as soon as they opened. Ace has a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The store is neat and clean which was very reassuring. 🤗 The greeting when entering was a nice start to my frustrating troubleshooting trip. They had the flame sensor I needed (it was the only one too). I installed it and optest was SAT. Let there be heat! 🙌🏾☺️☺️☺️☺️

My least favorite Ace. I found much lower prices for the same item at another Ace, the employees that ask: "Can I help you?" and can't. If you're luck, they pass you off to the only one that knows anything about hardware. Nothing like the old hardware stores...but it's the only one in town.

Workers are very helpful, every time I go in I'm asked if they can help me with anything. The same employees have been around for a long time now. So its good to see familiar faces. They have gone out of the way to order me things that they didn't offer.Also, they are dog friendly. So that saves me a trip as I can stop in Ace on my way back home from the dog park.

Awesome store, awesome folks working there, but I just bought some 550 paracord and the product has rips in the cord every few feet apart. Stuff was .24 cents a foot (which is a rip off) and isn't even a quality product. Pretty upset with my visit.

Great store with just about anything you need. Everyone in the store greeted me and asked if I needed any help finding things. The selection of some things are limited, for example door lock hardware, but when it's all said and done you can get the job done as long as you're not too picky.

Had a snow blower to repair. I was told by another dealer in Crete not worth fixing but, they can sell me a new blower. Brother n law recommended this Ace. Was fixed within 3 weeks and price was absolutely perfect. Thank you Ace in Whiting 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

They didn't have what i was looking for,but the customer service was excellent.Greeted at the door,helped as soon as i entered the place.The item i was looking for was a specialty item-A/C switch.Very experienced and knowledgable staff,told me where i could get my A/C switch and he was right.Thank you Hyman's for the great advice.👍

Even though they ended up being out of one product I wanted, the associate could not have been more helpful. He searched for the ACE brand size furnace filter very thoroughly. All your staff are very helpful & professional. Love having this store in Whiting!

Nice neighborhood store. Very knowledgeable staff and so nice to our kids. Went in and they had Santa there. The kids got a slice of cake and even left with Ace t-shirts. You don't see that quality of customer service anymore.

Ace is our family "go to" for everything from paint, to plumbing supplies , to electric supplies, to tools, the store has it all. What I enjoyed the most is their expertise on every area. Recently my parents had to turn an apartment and Lily recommended paint for the apartment. And also provided guidance on how to save money. Her recommendation to rent a rug doctor was genius. We are glad we can count on smart and knowledgeable people in every area like her.Additionally, I have to add that I appreciate the assistance Lily provided in programming and cutting a chip key to perfection and spending the time to make sure it worked well.

Roger was AMAZINGLY helpful with my husband's whole long list I was tasked with shopping for. He came up with options and with alternate solutions to the couple things that were out of stock . He even offered to special order things for me. This is definitely my go-to hardware store now. Thank you!
